I love Dunkin' Donuts and I live right near this one but it has got to be the worst location in terms of service. They are often completely out of donuts hours before they close. The workers seem so unhappy and they often tell anyone in line to order using the machine because they are not available to help. This is not helpful when you have questions or you want certain donut holes for example. I really hope this location can improve their service because it creates a negative view of Dunkin and I love their donuts! read more

At least the prices were decent for breakfast choices. At $1.69 a donut, still a great value and taste. They are fresh and light. Some flavors like the yummy Cookie Dough Crumble are $.30. It helps to label all extra priced ones like the Long Johns. -Boston Creme - they make the best one. Santa Monica runs on Dunkin'! Great location. Both indoor and outdoor seating. ATM inside. I live close by and come here every now and then to get a cream cheese bagel. The line goes quickly and the employees here are nice. They don't have a drive through window here, and parking can be difficult to find. Did Dunkin change the ingredients for the French Crueler? I just purchased 3 of them and tried to eat only 1. The Donut left my mouth and lips greased and oiled. I don't know what to say about this Dunkin. It's a Dunkin. They sell donuts, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches. There's no free parking (that I'm aware of), but there are usually metered spots open close enough near-by that it isn't too much of a hassle. They don't have a drive-through at this location, which is a bummer. So you will have to go inside. Everything you'd expect from a Dunkin you'll find it here. So why only 2 stars? Normally I'd easily give a Dunkin 3 or 4 stars. Well, it comes down to customer service. EVERY TIME I have gone to this Dunkin Donuts, I've always been helped by the same employee. And EVERY TIME he's been a total jerk. Now, NORMALLY I would chalk this up someone having a bad day, and I wouldn't include it in a review. But it happens EVERY TIME. It's always the same person, and they're ALWAYS rude. Now I don't mean they openly insult me, or are yelling at me, or call me names, or anything as overt as that. They just have a really bad attitude. They act impatient when I'm ordering, they don't answer questions, they get frustrated if I ask for a donut they don't have. I was validated in feeling this way when my wife came with me to Dunkin one time (usually I go alone) and THE SAME person helped us and after we left my wife said, "Man! They were a jerk!" I am surprised by the amount of hate! I love DD and associate it with good memories of traveling to Boston, where I ritually have a coconut donut and a blueberry glazed on each visit. This one is conveniently located many thousand miles closer to where I live and is a great stop-off for a post-run indulgence. Sure, maybe you can't get a lavender-moon-harvested-himalayan-salted-biodynamic variety here, but for basic, classic DD flavors, this place is great! We don't really have these in Northern California so I don't know much of the chain other than a friend of mine used to swear by their coffee. I'm gluten and dairy free so I'm definitely not their target audience, but I ordered the drink after calling my Lyft and it was both made and drank before the car came to pick me up for the next shop - so I appreciated the brevity. The parking guy in the back (behind Dunkin) will harass you for some validation, which the store will not provide and the parking guy will harass you more for validation when you are back. I'm not returning because I can't buy coffee here in piece. Employees of Dunkin will tell you different things, one that they don't validate, other one that they don't have parking, and parking company for the parking guy will be useless. read more

I love how this place always has a positive vibe. While I was here with my husband we appreciated how the staff efficiently worked through an order rush (mobile and in person), then in the end complimented/encouraged each other: the girl announced an order that was ready then she said "Good job team!" That's really great because we go to Starbucks too but they never encourage each other, though I've heard their staff complain and talk shit about fellow staff mates who aren't there...so, indeed, I think your team at this location does an AMAZING jobeveryone here needs a raise STAT!!!! For real though I've also come here before when I didn't have money, yet they treated me with respect and dignity. Very rare in businesses these days, never goes unnoticed. Thank you. Today I stopped to get two dozen donuts. I decided to also order a cup of coffee because I thought it would be easy to get. After all, all they had to do was pour the coffee into the cup and had it to me. After getting my donuts I waited for my coffee for at least 5 minutes. So, I asked the not so friendly lady behind the pick up area if I could have my cup of coffee and take off. She replied that they were working as fast as they could and that I had to wait my turn. She was doing nothing except pealing labels of cup and re sticking them on. Then after a few minutes she said to me. Your cup of coffee it's going to take about 15 more minutes because we are now making a new pot of coffee. That's when I said to her to keep the coffee. This location switched to kiosks which equals chaos. Without a human taking your order, decisions on a dozen can get very lengthy. The simplest orders take 3x longer than they should. I don't drink coffee - however, I'm actually posting a review of this location, because after a few visits, mainly because one of my friends grew up in Chicago - and grew up on Dunkin' Donuts - I'm commenting on the service. Each time (2), I had a smoothie. They're fine. Not so great I'd drive to Santa Monica just for it - but decent enough that I ordered it again, when I was here the other day. Each time though (2), service was pretty bad. This time around - after paying for my order, the cashier just looks at me while I'm waiting for my change like I'm the one with an problem. When I ask for my change and show her my receipt, it was as if I was burdening her, due to her mistake. No apology. Just all attitude as she did what she had to do to complete the transaction. Then, I went over to the pick up counter and I asked for the restroom key code and let the employee there know, that I would be going to wash my hands. I had barely finished and closed the door and I can hear the employee yelling out my number. Again, with attitude. Probably because I didn't respond immediately. Now, I understand she sees lots of people and probably didn't remember me letting her know I'd be right back - so that's not my issue. My issue is the attitude of not just one, but two of the employees I encountered there. The attitude from the second person was sharp enough that as I approached the counter, I could hear other customers, who were waiting on their drinks, trying to explain that I was on my way. I've had many conversations with people about my feelings towards the decline of customer service these days. My experiences with DD, specifically at this location, only reinforce those feelings. read more
