As soon as we walked in the door, the wonderful smell of fried chicken hit us and we were greeted by a pleasant lady behind the counter. I also couldn't help but notice how clean this store was! My daughter instantly noticed the shake and smoothie machine and told me I had to try it out since she's had it before. The concept of the machine was super cool. You select the cup of shake or smoothie from the freezer, place it in the machine, select your level of thickness, then the machine turns it into the drink. I chose the Oreo flavor and it was very tasty. Once we ordered our chicken from the kiosk, we paid for our meals and chatted with the staff about Royal Farms. She shared with us the perks of signing up for the Royal Farms Rewards Card and how it helps you save on gas, among other benefits. We then grabbed our chicken to go and I must say, it was much better this time than the last time! The chicken was very fresh, crispy and flavorful. Since this location is close by, I'm sure I'll be stopping in again very soon.

This is one of the two recently renovated 7-Eleven gas stations on Upton Drive (they're like .5…read moremiles apart). This is at the corner of Upton/Sandbridge Rd/Princess Anne intersection and is a decent-sized store with plenty of pumps. Recently, I've downloaded the app to use to pay for gas and was awarded 7 fill-ups for $0.11 off per gallon. This is a pretty sweet deal. For some reason the other one right down the street doesn't do the pay app but this one does... weird. Anyway - I have had no issues with this service and the app, it's easy to use and is saving me the money on the fill-ups. I will likely continue to use it after as I like pulling up, putting the pump number in, and it being unlocked without my touching anything aside from the gas pump and type of gas I want - it pre-authorizes your card for whatever amount you choose (if you choose fill - it's $99 but it will credit the difference back as soon as you complete the transaction). Immediate receipt emailed to you, boom! Inside is nice, but not as nice as the other down the street. Loads of snacks and travel goodies to keep you going and great coffee selection for in the morning on the way to work.

But the pumps (12 I think) all take cards.

On the right there's a few tables to enjoy your order and further down there's a long high-top table where you can view a "behind the scenes" look through their kitchen window. The murals on their hallway are gorgeous, as well as that HUGE mirror you catch yourself in on the way to their bathrooms. Be Free merchandise is also available before you hit the hallway. Whoever designed their skull cones logo did a great job! On the left there's a refrigerated area with beverages to grab, and their glass case of all their ice cream flavors they're offering that day. Each is marked gluten free or dairy-free where appropriate. Next up is their pastry case on the counter. Take a mental note of what you'd like to get because you don't order until you reach the end of the counter. I think the flavor I got was called Wild Cherry Chip (a dark cherry ice cream with tiny crunchy dark chocolate pieces - think Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia).
