Of the 30 places I put gas in the van along this journey, this place was a full DOLLAR more expensive than every other one of those. Instead of a full tank - how do these people afford fuel?? - I bought exactly two gallons and that would be enough to get to cheaper fuel in Nevada. The station was convenient and I liked that there was full cover over the pump area. But the trash bins were full with extra trash sitting next to it. No squeegee here. I opted not to go inside. Updating to 5 stars because we can tell the staff is working hard to ensure a good customer experience. This is a solid breakfast option for anyone staying in the village. A wide array of menu options, plenty of seating, cute items to look at while you wait for your order, and I appreciated that the staff walked around from the back and brought every single person their order right to them rather than having the guests pick them up at the counter. A small touch, but meaningful and noticeable. We're excited to give this place another try and recommend it to our friends who are staying here. Original review: Paid for a sausage breakfast burrito and got a breakfast burrito with a lot of tortilla, and legit 0 sausage in it. For over $20 with tip, this is very disappointing to not have 1 single bite of meat in a pricey burrito, as shown in the photos. This was also not a busy morning, they were wrapping up giving a group their order when I arrived, and I was legit the only person in line. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it is a cute shop.

I feel it's more dated and less cheery than the Safeway stores in my town, Roseville CA. The aisles here in Truckee seem narrow, hard for two opposing shopping carts to pass each other. Inventory seems smaller than a big city Safeway. The wine section here is much smaller. We bought a small cake. The quality was not up to that of our home Safeway. During our recent visit, during the week, there were depleted stocks of essentials. The egg fridge was nearly empty. If you are from a big city that has a more modern Safeway, this one is going to be a disappointment. So just get your essentials, get in line, pay and get out. Try not to think about it too much.
