Look at those gas prices
Tommy J.

It's just gas. Really expensive gas in Truckee, but everything in Truckee is expensive so... Yeah. Didn't go inside, just pulled up inserted the card, filled up with gas. And then had to take a boat Across the river/lake they had in their parking lot. Not a lot they could do about it, Truckee is flooding right now everywhere. Anyway, if you want to pay top dollar for shell gas, here it is lol.

Next to it is dirt and weeds past that is a river! Not bad for a gas station.

So it's noon on New Year's Day and everyone is heading back to Sacramento / Bay Area. Is the Shell on Highway 89 in Truckee open? Nope.

Oh their toilets happen to be "broken." But they have some lovely porta-potties. Gas is a solid $1/ gallon more than down the hill.

Such a well-stocked Mini-Mart with a large selection. A must stop for any road trip!

One item wasn't marked at all, and the other showed a $10 sticker with an additional 50% off. When I scanned the barcode in the Ace Hardware app, the item rang up as $2.99, so I kindly requested a price match based on Ace's own listed pricing. The manager entered the interaction abruptly, avoided eye contact, and loudly exclaimed "What the F***"--a remark heard by several customers in nearby lines. This was both unprofessional and unnecessary. He then insisted the online price was inaccurate and attempted to charge an incorrect amount ($31.99!!), even after I showed the product information. I ultimately ordered the items for in-store pickup at the correct price, but the situation could have been resolved quickly and respectfully in the moment. I've included a photo with the serial number so this can be reviewed by leadership and handled more appropriately going forward. The rest of the staff was excellent; the issue was solely with the manager's conduct. I hope future visits to this location reflect the professionalism Ace is known for.

I have had a couple issues with them: 1. On two occasions they have come to top off our tank but our account is on "will call" meaning they should not fill unless we call. This isn't a huge issue, luckily we were able to pay the bill but that can be an unfortunate mix-up for someone who would struggle to pay an unexpected $300+ propane bill. But I'd rather have too much propane than run out. 2. We went from June 2023 to Oct 2023 without getting a fill. They came to top off in November (one of those occasions when we did not request a fill) and we somehow used the same amount of propane in 5 weeks that we used in the 4 months from June to October. We do not use the heater at all (we use space heaters powered by electricity) so there was no way that our propane use increased that much. I believe that there may have been a leak caused by the delivery driver when he did the fill in October. This mistake cost me over $250. Now we have gone from November to June without using very much propane so I know that they must have done something wrong with that October fill. Otherwise the customer service is good and deliveries are prompt. I will continue to be a customer because I know that the issues I have had pale in comparison to the issues you'll face as an Amerigas or Ferrellgas customer.

I called on a Monday am around 8:15 as my tank was empty and I had smelled gas. Literally, 3 hours later a service tech had come to my house, trouble-shooted the issue and my tank was filled! Wow, wow, wow - I highly recommend and have always been satisfied.
