After we rang the bell, we were greeted by Marcie, who was super talkative, sweet, and incredibly helpful when it came to choosing our drinks. I really appreciated her taking the time to help us decide what to try. I ordered the Havana Cappuccino, iced, and WOW--this was fantastic! It starts with sweetened condensed milk at the bottom of the cup, followed by hot espresso. Marcie sprinkled cinnamon over the hot espresso before adding my ice and then my heavy cream. With just a slight stir, all those flavors came together perfectly. The cinnamon with the espresso and sweet condensed milk was SO good! And can we talk about how amazing Raley's smelled today? It had that wonderful warm cinnamon smell throughout the store, and I'm pretty sure the cinnamon-scented pinecones near the front entrance had something to do with it. I always enjoy stopping at Raley's. It's consistently clean, welcoming, and full of friendly people, and today was no exception. A big thank-you to Marcie for making our coffee stop extra enjoyable and helping me discover a new favorite cold coffee drink! I was happy to see that we have cheaper similar alternatives to their cookie addiction. They offer a limited supply of flavors in their case daily or you can give a 48 hour notice for a custom order. This bakery is a must stop while I'm entertaining. Their fruit cakes and tarts are a must have for dessert options at my house when I host company for dinner. This store is beautiful and clean as almost every Raleys I've set foot in. I'll be back for a dozen of these cookies to try. When I stopped by last week it was to pick up an order of cupcakes, a fruit tart and some wine. Their wine selection is impressive as well btw. I stood waiting for assistance, and a staff member named Teri walked up, mumbled something, and immediately started to walk away. Because I couldn't hear her, I politely asked her to repeat herself. Teri responded with an incredibly dismissive attitude, acting as though asking for clarification was a major inconvenience. She then repeated, "You need to fill out the paper," speaking very condescendingly, as if I were unable to understand basic instructions. Even after I explained that I had never ordered a sandwich here before and simply didn't know the process, her attitude remained hostile. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and off-putting interaction. If it weren't for Anna completely turning my mood around at checkout per usual, I would have walked out incredibly frustrated.
