But my guest wanted milk, so here I am. $5 for a quart or half gallon, 3 times supermarket prices. I still bought it. Atmosphere - Small, neat, and clean environment. It was actually in better condition than I expected. I also see that you now have Amazon lockers, and a key making machine. More conveniences. Oh, I also see that people are back outside asking for $$$$. Open 24/7. Street metered parking, but I got a really good free residential space that I was not willing to lose until I "had" to. We were going to walk to as many places as possible on this trip, lol. Service - None. They wont even say hi, good morning, etc. Even after I greeted them?!?! Actually, no service was better than my visit from two visits ago where the employee was amazingly RUDE. I witnessed him having an argument with a customer, and due to that, I have not been back until today. I hope that employee is gone, so I can be back as a customer, for convenience. Shady. The regular Indian guy will accept and compel the your $50 door dash order then when you show up later, he will say that the order is cancelled and shake his head. He won't even look at your order confirmation or provide any form of help or assistance. I feel robbed, and if (I doubt it) management sees this they should seriously look into this. 7-11 day means free slurpee! They have the little cups for the free slurpee stocked. The hotdog condiments station was sort of stocked and they have some hot food ready. I would have gotten a hot dog but I've just eaten in Chinatown. I did noticed they have 7-11 branded snacks here. I had to try their Funyuns knock-off chips. What is the purpose of lying about the hours of a store like this? They are literally never open between 2am and 5am. Probably close at 1am but I'm not sure. Every single day they post a ghetto sign that says closed. Are the employees sleeping and getting paid? Does the company take joy in telling share holders they have x amount of 24 hour stores? Maybe their contract with amazon pickup or the key making kiosk require 24 hours and they are just faking it to make extra money? Why else lie about this? I'm sure ppl who live further away have been frustrated many times traveling here after seeing "open" online. Garbage behavior. They now have a blurb on yelp and Google that says for sanitation practices they may be closed between 12 and 5am. The city is a little under the weather and Yelpers are a bit shocked that they are wearing masks and not eating in the restaurants. Been on a craving/binge recently for icy drinks so coming here was a no-brainer on a July afternoon. You see, it was Slurpee Day... that's right, are you serious?! Of course, it falls on July 11th which prompted me to visit this store. I found a parking space on 15th Avenue and walked in to find about eight or nine middle school students by the drink machines and a few neighborhood work people buying snacks and munchies. As I walked over to the drink machines, it was pretty messy (not pointing fingers) and small cups were provided for the promotion. I got the blue raspberry one for my freebie and got an additional medium cherry (my fave) too. I also grabbed a couple of bags of chips before paying at the cashier. The cashier was pretty emotionless in ringing my sales up, likely fed up from the earlier throng that left a mess that didn't have time to clean up... he was running solo. I like the location, parking is reasonably easy, and, well, how can you beat those hours?! Will be back when craving for another Slurpee or some snacks for my drive to the office. read more

There will always be something reassuring and special to me about 7-Eleven. I like that it's a constant - in a world of change. I know... that it's going to be open when I want it to be. that they're consistent with their trademark stuff like slurpees - etc. That I can expect a dazed night crew of slightly out of it - 7-Eleven regulars late in the evening. I just like that it's familiar. Warm. And usually always has what I want. And yet... I'm always being pleasantly surprised by this common-place - but at the same time - absolutely wonderful store. 7-Eleven could be lazy and just continue to get by - with their late hours and just the sheer quantity of their store locations. But no - they continue to push on through - by carrying delicious little Japanese gummies, carrying innovative action figure drink holders, carrying cupcakes, and of course - my favorite tropical flavored trident gum. UPDATE 08/20: I think that they may have gotten rid of the extremely rude cashier that was working here before. I went in this evening to grab a quick bite to eat / drink and the woman working was extremely nice. Everything was stocked, the store was cleaner, and overall it was a much much better experience. She made me actually want to come back next time! ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is by far the worst 711 I have ever been to. I've been here around 10 times and every single time the night workers are extremely rude. Tonight the attendant told off a customer after they asked for a bag and he said something along the lines of "idk put it in your pocket, figure it out". Every single time I've been in here the worker is staring at his phone while ringing me up. They do not say hello or anything and when you ask them for assistance they snap at you. The food is not sanitary, they have not changed the chili dispenser drip catcher in weeks and only had one fork for all of the nacho and hot dog toppings. Last time I was here the cashier walked away from the counter while a customer was there to put himself a slurpee and didn't even say anything. I recently came in here and accidentally almost ran into the cashier walking towards me and in a rude and condescending way said "watch where you're going bud" The slurpee machine is never working or not on (not sure which one), there is never any of the right lids for the slurpees and they seem to be out of everything because they won't stock it. The workers of this store take zero pride in their work. I shop at this store and have ordered delivery from this store. Just got a delivery order tonight with some 7-11 donuts (like the Hostess ones). The toolbag who bagged my order put the donuts under all of the heavier items so the donuts were all crushed. They don't maintain their online inventory. The daytime employee is 100% of the time on his phone not giving a shit at all about his customers. When he is forced to pause his phone conversation and actually help the customers there is always a look in his face like How Dare You Interrupt My Phone Call!!! Not recommended for delivery. They either send the wrong items or shortchange you with no explanation. Their Big Bite hot dogs are cold and raw. The inedible wiener is thrown unwrapped into a cardboard box with a cold, soggy bun and nasty condiment packets. If you have issues with them, tough. They don't answer their phone. Very unpleasant foreigners, you have to deal with them through your delivery company. A major delivery company recently told me this 7-Eleven is impossible to work with, so when orders went wrong, they just gave me refunds. We don't shop there any more. read more

Ok, I can't believe I'm actually writing a review for 7-Eleven of all places... My gf and I just had pho nearby when the MSG pains started to kick in. So, we decided to make a pit stop for some drinks before heading to Mt. Alexander to do some hiking. As we entered, catching a glimpse of the slurpee machines made us ponder how long it has been since we had our last slurpee. 5 years, a decade maybe? In any event, it was such a nice day out that we thought we get one. Being the complete klutz that I am, when I filling my cup, the lid had popped off and the slurpee contents started oozing down the cup. I dropped a big glob on the floor when one of the workers immediately came to my aid. He put up one of those yellow caution signs and mopped up the floor. I apologized to him and he smiled and said, "Don't worry about it". Wow, really?!?!? I guess I expected to get an evil eye or grunt. After grabbing some Vitamin Water, we headed to the cashier. We were warmly greeted by the cashier and he asked "How life is going for you guys?" We replied and he responded in a very chipper attitude that "He's happy and can't complain." Another "Wow"; I've never encountered such a happy and pleasant cashier that actually enjoys what he does. As we were leaving, my friend was playing with a candy toy near the register, when the cashier actually picked it up and demonstrated how it works!!! I'm so use to getting blank stairs and customer service people who don't even say "Hi" back when you greet them. So, naturally I was quite astonished at the level of customer service and the staff's positive attitude at this 7-Eleven location! I get Slurpee cravings occasionally. Like "I will cut a fool" kind of cravings. (Just a slash on the cheek or something, nothing fatal. I'm not a fucking psycho.) Luckily there's a 7-Eleven on my way home from the bus stop. The Slurpee selection was pretty righteous. There were classics like Coca-Cola and Wild Cherry as well as some new flavors like Crystal Light Tangerine and Lime (for the health nuts) and Amp Energy Flaming Blue Donkey Ball Power Sludge or some shit like that (for twelve year olds.) Seriously, energy drink Slurpees? Like the 75 grams of sugar I'll be ingesting from a normal Slurpee aren't enough to give me a little "boost." Oh hell, why not? It's midnight and I've got to stay up to watch the "Golden Girls" marathon on Lifetime. That Estelle Getty, WHAT A PISTOL! So they've got all the shit you would expect, candy, beverages, Flaming Hot Cheetos, jerky of all varieties, etc. I mean if they didn't have this stuff where would adolescents/drunk/stupid/poor people buy food? What I wasn't expecting to find was a fairly large produce section. I'm not talking about a few rapidly aging bananas by the counter but baskets of fruit like oranges, kiwis, melon and vegetables like broccoli, zucchini and tomatoes. I'm not going to diss on them for having tomatoes out of season because having ANY whole foods in a 7-Eleven is a step in the right direction. Funny story. We had just returned from catching a film (part of the SF International LGBT Film Festival) and despite our earlier meal at Taqueria Cancun, I was slightly dehydrated. Probably from the massive spicy salsa I threw on my super quesadilla. After jumping off the 38 and professing my thirst to the fellow, lo and behold, the lights of 7-Eleven caught my view. I managed to coax him in there with me so that I could procure my usual items: cherry slurpee and Chili Picante Corn Nuts. I pranced out in my 3 1/2 inch heels clutching my large slurpee and the fellow cradling my treasure bag in bright yellow. Clean store. Good variety of snack items on the run, even milk/eggs if you need to restock the basics. Great customer service, including the associate who gave us free cookies. Maybe you should have stocked up," (despite it being many blocks away from said concert), the assistant manager (I'm guessing) said he was closing in 5 minutes and was at the door, watching for more customers. First let me clarify that this five star review has been graded on a curve in which only 7-elevens have been evaluated. Sure, perhaps they could do some things better, but it is by far my favorite 7-eleven I have ever visited. There are a few reason they get five stars: 1. Its a convenience store. So I want it to be f*ing Convenient!!!! Open 24 hours and right across the street from my house; that is as convenient as it gets. They have never been out of stock of anything I need, and their Slurpee station is always clean. They give me whole roles of quarters for laundry. When it's busy and there is only one person working, they will jump back and forward from register to register. That is service. 2. The flatmates and I come home at nine in the morning. Dresses, six inch heels, and smeared eyeliner. The walk of shame at it's finest. The cab drops us off and we walk across the street to 7-eleven. The man at the counter greets us with "Life is good! Life is good!" Isn't it such. The last thing we needed was to be judged by the 7-eleven staff. He assured us life is good, thus also assuring us we could come in and buy a six pack at 9am, condoms at 4am, and a pound of nacho cheese at 3am.... if we ever wanted to do any of those things. 3. Customer appreciation Day! A few months back they had customer appreciation day. They gave out free slurpees, soda, chips, hot dogs, energy drinks and donuts. Best of all they were happy to give it away. The staff was loving it!! They really enjoyed putting a smile on all their customers' faces. Also I have secretly been wanting to try a hot dog from here for 13 years, but have not been able to bring myself to buy one. It just, well, seemed gross. But if they are giving them away.... why not. I have said it before and I will say it again, I will try anything that is free. I told people it was "pretty good" as I was too embarrassed to admit that I thought a hot dog from 7-eleven was beyond delicious. 4. The staff is fantastic. They make me feel like I am not at a 7-eleven but at a local bodega. In fact, sometimes when I go across the street here for something, I ask my roommates if they want anything from the bodega (east coast term for convenience store). Sure maybe it would be nice to support some local store. I fully agree, that MAYBE it would. But, the 7-eleven staff here does it up proper making me feel like I already am. The place that makes unhealthy eating and general disregard of one's body achievable by EVERYONE, regardless of income level, at any time of day. I was hanging out with a my friend last night for a few hours. As I walked to Geary, I realized I did not have the proper change for the bus. I started walking to Buffalo Burger to try there chips that look so good, but they were closed, as was everything else by about three minutes. I look up and before my eyes, I see the lights on at the 7-Eleven. I buy a bag of lays chips and get my quarters for the bus. The worst 7/11 EVER. Don't even bother coming here. Go to the one at the gas station instead. They at least have nice people. Almost every time we go here, we have had bad incidents with the employees. They're always rude and unhelpful. But today, this one really was the last straw. Which is why I unfortunately have to write this review. We were at the cashier and I quickly asked to scan one of the drinks for the price. I couldn't afford the drink so I simply asked to take it off the order and just buy the food which was 5.98.Okay. No problem. Before giving the money,I looked in my wallet and clearly saw 2 $5 bills. I may have accidentally gave him 2 $5 bills and 1 $1 bill. I simply told him "Oh, I might have accidentally given you another $5 bill." and he was very dismissive about it. Closest 7-Eleven to my house. I've been here a couple of times, mainly for cigs if I desperately need some. The cashiers have always been nice and friendly. The only downside to this location is since it's the only 7-Eleven in the neighborhood, sometimes people hang out in front drunkenly eating hot dogs, etc. So I try to stay away late night. I went there to buy a drink and an Amazon gift card on 7/15/2019 at 2:30pm. The cashier asked me how much I wanted to put on the gift card and upon hearing the amount ($500) told me that it was cash only. I told him I had bought a gift card at that location before using a credit card (just two days prior, actually) and he replied that the system was down. Since I didn't have that much cash on me, I only bought the drink. Using my credit card. So what system was down exactly? Not the gift card system since he was ok selling it to me using cash. And not the credit card system since I paid for my drink with my credit card. Blatant lie. I've been a regular customer at this location for the past few years because it's the closest 24-hour convenience store to my place, but no more. I didn't grow up with 7-elevens so when I discovered them in California, I had to visit as many as I could just to see what they were all about. A fascinating collection of people work and visit this chain. They have freakishly good coffee. They're really clean And they are open late. This is a review for the Geary Street shop because they have some of the nicer people there and they are EFFICIENT. And the guys are funny. Kudos 7-Eleven dudes. You rock. read more

I've been to many 7-elevens and have learned to not expect it to be the clean, organized or even friendly but this 7-eleven is different. I have yet to find a staff member there that isn't friendly ( i haven't found out how the night time staff is as I've only been there in the mornings.) The store is always clean and pretty organized. The coffee spot which is usually the spot where 7-eleven drops the ball with cleanliness and organization, this spot excels in. Fresh coffee all the time and always fully stocked up on all their sugars and creamers. read more
