He trains and coaches all the baristas at Lamppost and has definitely made an impact in making Lamppost one of the best coffee shops in the Williamson County area. This flight had three incredible drinks: the standard espresso shot, the milk and espresso drink (a cortado), and the show-stopping signature beverage that I could drink 30 of in one sitting. Lampost has many locations in this area and they all are consistently good. What is exceptionally nice about this location is it's overall ambience... Nice vibe quiet yet welcoming. The tables and working area areas are spread out nicely across this spacious location. The coffee was fantastic. The espresso was very flavorful and not at all burnt, like some of the other competitors in the area are known for in their coffee. This trip, I tried their chocolate chip cookie, and was a little disappointed. It was dense and heavy and the taste was not that pleasing to the palate. Perhaps it was just an off day - I don't remember the cookies from Lampost being this thick before, but my memory may be failing me. Regardless. I will definitely be back for the coffee and try another bakery item to satisfy my sweet tooth.

I looked at it and discovered mold inside the burrito! As you can see in the photo, this was not a small or questionable spot it was clearly visible throughout the inside. Finding mold in food that I was served is completely unacceptable and honestly made me question the food handling and freshness practices at this location. I expect food from a business to be fresh, safe, and properly inspected before being served to customers. I hope management takes this seriously, investigates how this happened, and addresses it with their food preparation and storage procedures. I will not be ordering food from this location again.

I was really disappointed by the lack of basic food safety and hygiene practices during my visit…read more While we were inside, I watched an employee walk around the corner to pick up a display that had fallen on the floor while wearing gloves. Instead of removing her gloves, washing her hands, and putting on a fresh pair, she continued wearing the same gloves and went back behind the counter. That alone made me uncomfortable enough that I decided not to order anything. I politely made an excuse about not being interested in the flavors, and we left. What made it even worse was that, as we were leaving, we watched the same employee walk outside, touch the door handles with those same gloves, and then go back inside without changing them. Gloves are supposed to help prevent cross-contamination, not be worn while touching the floor, door handles, and other potentially dirty surfaces. This is especially concerning at a food establishment where cleanliness and proper food handling should be a priority. I can't speak to the quality of the ice cream because we chose not to order, but what I witnessed was enough to make me question the hygiene practices at this location. I really hope management addresses this and ensures employees are properly trained in basic food safety.
