They do have some tables that you could sit and eat there if you want and watch the people go in and out of the store, Everyone is always nice and friendly. They have a variety, drinks and alcohol all kinds of cigarettes. Of course they have the Texas Lottery and scratch off tickets. I go mostly there to get a fountain drink because they have that really good sonic ice. Yay Cold Springs Liquor is finally open! I live right around the corner and have been anxiously…read moreawaiting the opening of this store. I'm not a big drinker, but I do enjoy a nice cocktail from time to time. :) Anyhow, I finally made it over to the new store today to check it out. It is your normal neighborhood corner shop in a strip mall. It has some good things going for it though. Here's the highlights: 1. It's easy to get in and out of. It's an easy place to run in, grab something, and be out in just a few minutes. 2. It has a pretty good selection for being a small corner store. They carry the big names everyone knows, as well as some of the smaller brands. I was very impressed to see Brugal Rum on the shelves. It's a rum I fell in love with while visiting the Dominican Republic a while back. I rarely find it at any stores, so that was a fun plus. 3. They carry a ton of local options in beer and liquor. My husband found his favorite local craft beer, Blood and Honey by Revolver, so he's happy. I also saw offerings from Tito's, Deep Eddy, Tex Agave, and Leanderthal Vodka (it's really good for real!) just to name a few. 4. It's cool to see so much local stuff on the shelves of a corner store. Plus I learned Leander of all places has it's own distillery named Square Peg Distillery! Who knew! 5. The owner is super nice. He was working when I went in. He helped me find what I was looking for and was very pleasant all around. He even asked me if I wanted something in particular that he didn't have, because he would place an order for me. That's pretty cool in my book. Customer service always goes a long way with me, so that gave him that coveted 5th star. 6. The prices were pretty reasonable. Yes, they are a bit higher than Twin Liquors or Spec's, but not by much and with what I have seen in other small shops in the area, I think the convenience of the store and the friendliness of the staff makes up for the small price difference. If I needed something real quick, I would pop over here for sure. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area. Great service, good selection, ok prices make it a darn good local liquor store.

The 1st time it happened I figured, meh.. but the look I got tonight from him gave me a passive-aggressive stink eye vibe and he waited until I was grabbing the handle. I get turning the light off and locking the door 1 min before closing, but when the parking lot is empty and I just want to buy my wife a bottle of wine after her 12-hour shift and had plenty of time to get in and out with a few mins to spare sucks. The look on his face is something I will never forget. You could see that he hated me. And I will NEVER go back there, even after spending thousands since they opened. He looked like he hated me. I felt the hate in his eyes into me, it creeped me out. I just wanted to buy my wife a bottle of wine and get out and then still have 5 mins to close.

Not only if they're pricing gone up significantly, but their quality is diminished as well. They also are inconsistently based off of the hours that they have posted. They sign clearly stated Coke products two for four and the chips had no pricing when I spoke to the individual behind the counter he would not give me the 244 Coke products as he did not know how to ring it up, even though it was clearly stated on the window.
