2nd time I showed up there before they were closing and got stone-faced by them locking the door and acting like they didn't see me. The 1st time it happened I figured, meh.. but the look I got tonight from him gave me a passive-aggressive stink eye vibe and he waited until I was grabbing the handle. I get turning the light off and locking the door 1 min before closing, but when the parking lot is empty and I just want to buy my wife a bottle of wine after her 12-hour shift and had plenty of time to get in and out with a few mins to spare sucks. The look on his face is something I will never forget. You could see that he hated me. And I will NEVER go back there, even after spending thousands since they opened. He looked like he hated me. Yay Cold Springs Liquor is finally open! I live right around the corner and have been anxiously awaiting the opening of this store. I'm not a big drinker, but I do enjoy a nice cocktail from time to time. :) Anyhow, I finally made it over to the new store today to check it out. It is your normal neighborhood corner shop in a strip mall. It has some good things going for it though. Here's the highlights: 1. It's easy to get in and out of. It's an easy place to run in, grab something, and be out in just a few minutes. 2. It has a pretty good selection for being a small corner store. They carry the big names everyone knows, as well as some of the smaller brands. I was very impressed to see Brugal Rum on the shelves. It's a rum I fell in love with while visiting the Dominican Republic a while back. I rarely find it at any stores, so that was a fun plus. 3. They carry a ton of local options in beer and liquor. My husband found his favorite local craft beer, Blood and Honey by Revolver, so he's happy. I also saw offerings from Tito's, Deep Eddy, Tex Agave, and Leanderthal Vodka (it's really good for real!) just to name a few. 4. It's cool to see so much local stuff on the shelves of a corner store. Plus I learned Leander of all places has it's own distillery named Square Peg Distillery! Who knew! 5. The owner is super nice. He was working when I went in. He helped me find what I was looking for and was very pleasant all around. He even asked me if I wanted something in particular that he didn't have, because he would place an order for me. That's pretty cool in my book. Customer service always goes a long way with me, so that gave him that coveted 5th star. 6. The prices were pretty reasonable. Yes, they are a bit higher than Twin Liquors or Spec's, but not by much and with what I have seen in other small shops in the area, I think the convenience of the store and the friendliness of the staff makes up for the small price difference. If I needed something real quick, I would pop over here for sure. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area. Great service, good selection, ok prices make it a darn good local liquor store. read more

TERRIBLE! I went with a friend to get ginger beer and left with nothing. When I picked up a 4-pack of ginger beer 2 fell out of the packaging. The owner was very rude and told me he had to charge me because the last time he went back to the distributor they wouldn't reimburse him. I tried to explain how it fell out and is obviously the distributor's fault, but he just insisted I pay. I then told him I would leave and not buy the 4 packages (which are very overpriced anyways) I was going to buy and so he lost all of my business and my friend's business. This place is awesome and look really nice inside . The Employer treat their customer with respect , they have good inventory of great product and fair price . (I know Twin liquor have good price because they r a big company - but this store more convinience for me ) They give me a mini bottle when i requested my favourite wine - thats really nice . I love going into Cold Springs Liquor because they have a little bit of everything. I really like that they carry a lot of local liquors and beers. They have a nice selection of liquor but I don't drink liquor. My suggestion to them would be to carry a small selection craft beers. The only beers they carry are the yellow fizzy mainstream beers. Their store is around some very nice neighborhoods. It is surprising that they only carry Bud, Miller, Corona, etc... I would stop in weekly since it is near my house if they expanded their beer selection. As of now, I have no reason to even stop. However, I do stop in to check their stock monthly. read more
