American Honey Creamery & Coffee - The best place to have ice cream

Just recently they only had one vanilla frosted donut left and both my kids wanted one. Of course one wanted sprinkles and the other didn't. Without me even asking they offered to cut it in half and sprinkle half and then cut a different type of donut in half so they both had one full donut. It was hilarious and sweet all at the same time and saved me from a toddler melt down. We will continue to come back often and are so excited for the new location with the drive thru!

The cost was $7.50 for two scoops, $3.75 a scoop. My favorite ice cream store in NYC isn't even this expensive. I paid and told myself it must be made with really good ingredients for that price. I ordered the strawberry and banana crème brûlée flavors. Got to my car, tasted the ice cream. What a disappointment. The strawberry had NO FLAVOR and It had NO STRAWBERRIES. There was not one piece of strawberry in the scoop not even any seeds. It was barely even pink in color. Not sure if somebody messed up the recipe but there was no sign that this was strawberry ice cream. The banana ice cream also had no flavor and definitely no bananas or brûlée (caramelized sugar) for that matter. It was also supposed to have toffee chips which it did not. Clearly this place is lacking in quality. It's insulting to pay $7.50 for ice cream that wasn't what it was supposed to be. I had two scoops of ice cream base with no additional flavor. If the owners are ok with putting out product that is far from what they claim it to be, it's a one and done for me. My guess is they hope people order the sundaes etc loaded up with Reese's or other toppings and won't notice the flavorless ice cream. Good luck to them. UPDATE: OWNER RESPONDED saying I had the wrong business because they don't offer Reese's as a topping and that "isn't their pricing." I double checked and THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE RIGHT BUSINESS that I wrote about. My Reese's comment was a hypothetical thought. I didn't say I had it there. If the price I was charged isn't the right price, I suggest doing some research into your employees. There were 3 young kids working when I went in on Sunday evening. I WAS DEFINITELY CHARGED $7.50 FOR A CUP OF ICE CREAM WITH 2 SCOOPS. Personally I think this is not an appropriate response from the owner. How many ice cream stores offer banana crème brûlée ice cream? You know it was your store. My concern about the fact that there was no fruit or even flavor in the ice cream was not addressed. You try to write it off as my mistake and that I'm reviewing the wrong store. I'm in the food industry. This is no way to do business. Take some responsibility and or accountability. Perhaps an explanation as to why the ice cream had no fruit? Was it a bad batch? These things happen. I can understand that. Making excuses and not taking accountability, I can't deal with. If you want to have a successful business, I highly suggest you DO BETTER!

If you're a boba tea person, I got you!!! Trust me on this one. You can thank me later! I can't…read morespeak to the food, but it looked good though! Brief Summary: This small boba and poke bowl restaurant recently opened up, and it has quickly become my go to boba tea place! If you like boba that is a bit spicy (The tea, not hot like a pepper) then look no further! This might just be the place for you! Would I Recommend This Restaurant? Yes The Food: This section should prooooobably be renamed "The Drink" because I've never had the food, but I can speak to the boba tea. I'm a huge fan of the standard brown sugar boba tea. I usually get it extra sweet, and boy oh boy do those flavors pack a punch! The tea is spicy. Not spicy as in hot, but as in the tea itself is very flavorful. Something I find lacking in a lot of boba tea places. A lot of boba tea these days have a very bland tea as the base. This focuses the attention almost entirely on the flavor you get. That's fine and all if that's what you like, but to me, it makes the tea a bit one dimensional. What I love about this boba tea is that it has multiple complex flavors in it, and they all work so well together! I can genuinely say it is one of the best boba teas I've ever had in my life, and I don't use these terms lightly. The addition of a whip type of cream on top adds another element to the drink that compliments and elevates it to the next level. This is something I wish more boba places would do, because I think it makes a HUGE difference. Also, their straws are big enough to allow the boba balls to be sucked up with ease. Nothing on God's green earth annoys me more than when a straw for boba tea is too slim for the boba balls. I don't want to have to suck on it so hard that I......you know what. I'm not going to finish that statement, because I didn't see anyway of appropriately ending it! Lol. You get the point though. Overall, a very delicious drink. I haven't had the other flavors. I need to try them, but I'm too in love with the brown sugar boba to cheat on it lol. Definitely give it a shot though! Also, I haven't tried the sushi or poke bowls, but it looks delicious and the prices feel very reasonable! Value: Given that this is my most favorite boba in the SRQ area, I'd pay probably anything to get it lol. BUT, objectively speaking, the value for the money feels fair and on par to me. The value for the sushi and poke bowls also appears very fair! Service and Staff: The staff here were nice and friendly. I even got to speak with the owner WHO is right there behind the counter working as well. Very nice hard working guy. I love seeing owners that are very involved like that. A hard working guy making his dream come to life! Location and Interior: The location is in a plaza next to several other businesses. Pretty easy to get to and a decent amount of parking. Neighborhood is very safe, and the plaza is brand new. The restaurant is always very clean and tidy, which is something you always want from a restaurant. Final Thoughts: A beautiful family owned boba, poke, and sushi place. Absolutely worth giving a shot! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Cheers! P.S. Please help support local small businesses like this one! Final Scores: Food -10/10 Value - 5/5 Service/Staff - 5/5 Location/Interior 5/5 Total 25/25 = 5/5 Stars Stay fresh Mother Fooders! :p

Second Visit I have been back two times since my original…read morereview. The second time was with a friend for her birthday her choice. On this visit, we sat out front, which was clean with beautiful weather. I ordered the breakfast tacos, which had no meat just scrambled eggs. I added chopped bacon which didn't help much. The eggs tasted watered down. I've never seen breakfast tacos with no meat unless they were vegetarian. The prices should be more in line with what you're getting IMO. Third Visit On my most recent visit, I took my kids. They ordered the brioche French toast, which comes with two slices of French toast a few strawberries and blueberries. I ordered them a side of eggs scrambled not pictured. I ordered myself à la carte potatoes, and two eggs. Not impressed at all the eggs were supposed to be over easy and they had crispiness on the sides. My children did not like their scrambled eggs $6.94 for 3 eggs and non of us liked them. They tasted very watered down. I will say they did refund me on my 2 crispy eggs. We will not be going back anytime soon. Which is very unfortunate because this is in a great location, clean and the staff is very friendly. Their pricing for the quality is just way off. If you're charging $14 for 2pcs French toast and $7 for three eggs it should be mouth watering.

I was fascinated by training going on at the register and after awhile figured out that the place is being sold and the current owner was training the new owner how to run the computer. This place is a typical local diner - a little dated in the decor, seating and tables and exactly where I like to be. The waitress showed up promptly to take my order and todays meal was country fried steak with home fries, eggs over hard and rye toast. It didn't take long for the breakfast to show - there was a steak knife on the plate but not needed - the prepared patty was fork tender... gravy was real good but the home fries were perfect. Will definitely have to come back and try another meal - good luck to the new owners.
