This used to be my go to grocery store. I didn't even mind paying a little bit higher in prices because of the spacious aisles. However, lately I feel like I'm shopping in a zoo. People are in and out with their dogs on leashes, dogs in carts, and carrying dogs. I am pretty sure these are not service animals. I will never be back to this publix again. Tonight I went into the store to pick up a quick easy dinner for my family. While in the meat department I decided due to my medication and my small appetite the the pre-made pop in the over dinners looked quite good. Unfortunately, my family and I were met by the most sexist man I've ever come to face with inside of a publix store. While grabbing our food the man working the meat counter decided to come up to my famil and I and ask repeatedly why I didn't cook for my family since it was my day off. The first time he said it I tried to brush it off and say yes, it's my day off, I've worked all week and it's time for a nice break. He then repeated himself more.than once asking why I hadn't cook. I can understand culture differences, but this was pure sexist behavior. Regardless of my life or my situation shaming me in front of my family and mutiple other customers is absolutely inexcusable behavior. I expect much more from a publix. I used to drive out of my way to go to this publix because it was my favorite to shop at. Unfortunately, after this interaction I will not be back. I will not recommend to my friends or family to go to this publix anymore either. I understand it was only one employee, but if that is the standard of employee my new expectations are super low. read more

Placed my order on line showed up to the store at Parkwood Square a half hour later and no sandwiches, haven't even started them, 8 people behind the deli and one customer and no sandwiches. Not sure what's the advantage to ordering online when you walk in the store and still have to wait in line. read more

This Publix is very difficult to Shop in. To start the parking here is about half the size it should be to accommodate such a large store. I will say the selection here is good and being that it is a large location it is almost to be expected. I found trying to navigate through the isles of this store nearly impossible, they are small and comparing it to other Publix this one is in complete disarray! The Lines here at 1pm in the afternoon we're off the charts; I'm not just referring to the checkout lines either. Long lines for the Bakery, Deli, food service area and generally everything! Even the Produce isle was so backed up you just had to stand there and wait to make your selections! This place is cramped and just too small to accommodate the amount of people flowing in and out of this location. The checkout lines, only 3 open out of the 12 or so they actually have. Meanwhile angry customers are trying to race each other to which ever line is the shortest! Last and certainly not least why in the world would the have all of the shopping isles in a Zig zag layout? Would it not be better to have all the isles starting and stopping in uniformity? This way you could actually read the marquise at the beginning of each and you would be able to see what was actually down each shopping lane? read more

I've been going to this publix a lot lately and it's a hit or miss most of the time. If you hate lines or waiting for someone to help you, Please do yourself a favor and order thru the app for pub subs or deli. I've waited in lines for 30+ mins just to get help for a pub sub. The parking lot is very full and crowded with people. The store is clean and organized. I went yesterday and absolutely loved the sushi. They have sushi for $5 on Wednesday. read more

Today I was in store with my service dog & we were approached by Manager and asked was he a service dog and what service did he perform. I have never been requested to provide what he does only if he was a service dog. I was so offended so I walked out. I will never shop at that store again. read more

Just changed all of our prescriptions from CVS to public's pharmacy. What a huge difference in customer care. They bend over backwards to assist their customers. Very friendly and concerned. Highly recommend them for your pharmacy needs. This is the Publix at Parkwood square, in Parrish. read more

This place is a madhouse. This store is ALWAYS jam packed and don't get me started on the parking lot. The employees here are nice, it's just the people that shop here are either rude, arrogant or unapologetic when they almost hit you with their cart because they're such in a rush. Also, compared to other Publix stores the prices here are much higher. Also, I don't see as many sales (buy 1 get 1 ~ BOGO) that some of the other Publix offer. If they do have them, you can never concentrate on finding them because you're so busy navigating the isles. It's very frustrating to come here that I avoid the place and resort going to Walmart. Next summer there will be a Walmart across the street...I can't wait! read more

I had called in an order for the deli and the order was read back to me and clarified then arrived to pick up our subs and one chicken tender sub was missing. When asked I told them what we were waiting for and they told us that they had given away the rest of their chicken tenders to people standing in line despite the fact that my order was placed before theirs. They waited to make our subs until the line was gone rather than setting some aside or making some fresh for my order. If they would've told me on the phone that they didn't have enough chicken tenders it would've been fine and I would've ordered elsewhere but now I've wasted my time and my order is still not fulfilled. read more

While we were traveling South for a trip to Key West, we stopped into this Publix to get some subs and essentials for our trip. We weren't familiar with the layout of the store so we asked for help. A manager by the name of Mathew Duncan assisted us and made sure we found everything we needed. He took time from his busy day to ensure we received good customer service! Stood in line at the deli for 10 minutes. Long line. One lady working. No one stepping in for help. Line was for hot food and there was no one in line for subs. My daughter and I wanted a sub and chicken strips so I had her go in line for sub while I stayed in line for hot food. When lady called her for sub, I was in the front of hot food line (same lady working both lines), so I told her we were waiting for both. After making the sub, she tells us we need to go in the back of the line for hot food. The line I was in front of. The line that was now at least another 10 mins wait. So I walked away and she did nothing. The Publix up the road is 100% better! read more

I went into pick up a few things for dinner. An it was around 1130am. Pretty dead at the register. So I had just a few items. Didn't realize I had 13 items not under 10. An that cashier Jean was very rude about me having more than 10 items. Then she said to me....Just so you know your in a express lane an was just so rude an throwing my pie around the crust was all broken when I got home. Really lady your like 90 years old go home you don't need to be working an ruining everyone else day. There was no one even in her line! I apologize but she just kept being so snotty about 3 damn items! I hope publix knows what she's doing an lets her go for rudeness! read more

Best Publix in Manatee county! Staff are extremely friendly & helpful, store is always stocked and clean, and produce/deli are very delicious every time and always have hot items ready. If you want something and they are out of it, ask them and if they have it they will make it for you while you shop! By far my favorite Publix! Small town feel and friendly people = win! read more

Living on a farm, we tend to grow/slaughter the majority of the food we consume on a daily basis. However, I do frequent my local Publix for specific staples such as Tabasco, watermelon and Budweiser. I have had the pleasure of shopping at many Publix's throughout my years, and as many in the South will tell you, no other supermarket can compare. There is ample parking available, and I never have a problem finding a space for my golf cart. This particular store is clean and organized, and I never have to wait in a long line at checkout. The employees are always eager to greet me and offer me their assistance which most of the time I need, since I easily get confused in the aisles. This Publix location conveniently has a liquor store attached to it for all of your elixir needs. My husband and I prefer our homemade moonshine, but I tend to visit this liquor store for stocking stuffers around the holidays. Overall, I love my Publix and will definitely look into working here part-time upon retirement. read more
