It was my mistake to go into Trader Joe's two days before Thanksgiving. The store was extremely busy every aisle had people, but we came here to get festive snacks to eat while we drove around UTC for their lights. The staff was very friendly, greeted us as soon as we walked in and even while we were walking around the store. We were able to find most of the snacks we wanted and even got some of their eggnog to try. It was really good. Definitely better than Publix! read more

Finally made it here. Yay! I grabbed a wrap for lunch. It was good, but the tortilla shell was a little chewy. On my second visit I was only in for something to drink. I grabbed a La Colombe coffee to get me ready for some shopping in the area. The can says "Do Not Shake" on it. The cashier started flipping the can up and down telling me "I am going to gently shake this for you." Another employee who may have been training her tells her these cans say to not shake them. The one flipping my can says "That is why I am doing it gently for her." How about you don't shake a can that states "Do Not Shake." read more

Love that they opened a Trader Joe's location here. We frequently shop here when we are in the Sarasota area. I normally come here for their frozen beef birria's and other delicious items. I love their seasonal selections, especially during the holiday/Christmas time. Friendly staff, great selection, and awesome ambiance. (Keep in mind the store may be busier if you come during peak hours). Every time I have came, I barely stand in line and breeze right through the checkout process! read more

This Trader Joe's is located just opposite from the university town center mall in Sarasota in cooper Creek. It's located in a lovely plaza that has a range of restaurants and other stores such as J Crew. There is ample parking and the store is easily accessible. It does get very busy here. There's a wide selection of food and drink items from fresh fruit and veg, meat, fish and dairy, to lots of frozen food items. The organizational layout of this store is not my favorite - it actually reminds me a bit of an aldi just more expensive and catering to more hipster people. This your typical Trader Joe's, although smaller than others I've been to. I especially noticed it was smaller in the wine and beer section which is usually my main draw for going to one. On the upside, it's in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking available. I was searching for a good alternative to all the Publix in the area, but don't think this will be my go-to, sadly. read more

Loved walking around this store and browsing all the items. Their branded chocolate and wine is cheap and good. Found peanut butter cups and can't stop eating them! I still can't believe you can get a bottle of their wine for $4.48 per bottle! They had wine samples there as well. Store is clean and organized. Well laid out and easy to get through. Checking out process was easy and although there were a lot of shoppers we were able to get in and out relatively quickly. read more

I did find what I wanted and more! Our cashier Marie on Easter Sunday was very nice. I used my Citi credit Mastercard and it did not process. my husband tried to use his spending Account debit card and it was also rejected. We both checked and have money in it. I felt that Steph who was up front with cashier was not good help. She could had at least tried to check and see if we were not following the prompts on the transaction keyboard Correctly when we explained the issue. She quickly responded, "well if it does not take them is not going too! she was short and not helpful. We expect more from Trader Joe's. Having lived in LA I was really not a fan of TJ's. I move to SRQ went a couple times to the one on Tamiami Trl; parking lot is small and narrow spots always packed and not the greatest of selections based on my needs. Stopped at the UTC TJ's they share a very large parking lot Yay! The store is clean weren't that many people for a Saturday morning (for me that is HUGE). I even found items I'd buy in LA here another win! read more

Brand new store in Lakewood Ranch that works great in the Cooper Creek plaza. There are lots of vegan options at good prices. Right now, all the pumpkin options are out! I'm so excited to have this store in the UTC area! People are friendly and helpful, just like other locations. read more

This store is always clean and well stocked. It is easy to navigate the isles and departments, it's well organized and managed. There is always someone available to answers question if you can't find something. The staff is polite and helpful. Check out is quick and easy, I've never been in a long line here. So happy that this location opened as I love their cut fresh flowers! Everything and everyone achieves the anticipated TJ service and quality. It is easy to park and run in or stroll around the other shops to enjoy UTC's expanding retail selections. The spice selection is always fun to check out and the nuts, dried fruit options allow me to make my own trail mix with lots of goodies. Enjoy browsing and find yourself some treats! I love Trader Joe's. I just tried there prepared queso in the cold case and it's wonderful. It's actually a bit addictive when I was reading the labels on the prepared, salsa and pico de gallo and queso in the cold case, and also their Kimchi, they really have their suppliers make pretty clean food without a lot of additives. I'm glad to see that their flowers are back to be at a dozen for that price. I'm not a fan of their beef, which they offer for cheaper but the cuts aren't what I like to eat. So I got a fresh market for my beef, although they're getting super pricey these days. Trader Joe's does a great job with their vegetables in their fruits and it's the one place I can depend on to get organic tomatoes, both on the vine and also the grape tomatoes. In the fall, I can count on them having persimmons. In the summer, their stone fruit tends to be very good. Their pineapple is a reasonable late priced. Their chicken prices are some of the lowest other than Walmart that I don't shop at and Aldi. Employees there seem to very happy and glad to be working there, and when I tell them, this is my perception they agree. I deducted one star because there were times where they took my eggs back because they had a broken egg or two and they had already scanned it to charge me and then the guy didn't bring me back my replacement of eggs. This happened to me a couple of times and I was buying like two dozen eggs of the more expensive kind. I misplaced the receipt and I never got the eggs that I purchased having said that, when I've had flowers that didn't open up I took them back in their replace them. read more

Happy to have a Trader Joe's closer but they picked the absolutely worst shopping mall parking lot in the area. They should have opened in Lakewood Ranch on SR 70 East. read more

Love the one on Tamiami but not this one in Lakewood Ranch. The parking lot and store are crowded, the people shopping here are rude and in a rush. The clerks are great and they have all the same items that the other store has just not my go to Trader Joe's. read more
