Dear Lord , walking from Chinatown near canal St to midtown is good for the body and soul according to my cuz , but so is taking a cab instead but I see a 7 11 in my path and it's all good . Typical 711 which is good ,well stocked with the standard stuff but I see a slurpee machine in the back area and I could use a big gulp and look over there , jumbo hot pretzels , what a trifecta .overall the walk back was worth it especially having cuz hold my big gulp while I enjoy my rainbow slurpee and jumbo pretzel on a humid Tuesday early afternoon. I did not feel safe here, even at 3pm. Sketchy people hold the door open for acting all friendly but then ask you for something when you leave the store. The cashier looked frustrated, defeated because people just hang out without buying anything, just standing in the aisles with sunglasses. 7-11 is your all purpose, fairly priced convenience store. This location is a block from Canal Street, and ideal for the locals and tourists. This particular location isn't the largest, or the friendliest, but it's your standard 7-11. Coffee, snacks, slushies, pre-packaged bagels, sandwiches, etc... They frequently have sales or combo deals (2 for $2, 2 for &2.22) on beverages or snacks, but beware of just purchasing one item, you will not be given any discount. Often times, the coffee area is a bit dirty, or even out of stock, but an employee will replenish quickly, if you bring it to their attention. Overall, they serve their purpose, have some good deals, but often have a slow moving line, but still well worth the visit and a better option and more bargains than a Duane Reade, or other convenience store, especially in Manhattan. FYI: you may encounter a homeless individual outside, I've become accustomed to it, never hurts to do your civic duty and purchase them a coffee and/or donut. I was around the area to pick up a quick meal at the nearby McDonald's. I usually stop in a 7 Eleven to buy drinks as they usually have decent prices. They almost always have a BOGO deal for their 1L water bottles. The clerk that rang me up was quick so I was on my way in no time. read more

Store # 35472 located in the periphery of Chinatown and nearby all the courthouses of Lower Manhattan which is convenient for the standard fast pace New Yorker. Breakfast was the usual croissant sandwich $2.99, and a package of mini chocolate chip cookies $1.99. Cashier is anhedonic who appears disgruntled doing his job at 7-Eleven when inquiring if they have a microwave to heat my croissant sandwich. So I needed some water, and I decided that I didn't want to pay $3 or whatever for a small bottle in the hotel lobby. Yelp and the Internets told me this was the closest place to my hotel. So, I decided to make the long, perilous trek. I was prepared for a dumpster fire, but instead, I found a fairly typical 7 Eleven. Maybe the place once smelled like rancid garbage, but during my visit, it smelled like 7 Eleven. In a smaller town, you'd be willing to settle for the hot, ehem, "food" that they sell, but why would you do that in New York? You can find great food at any hour in New York. Any traveler in need of moderately priced convenience store goods, especially at a weird hour, will be able to find it at this 7 Eleven. Don't shy away if this is the closest place to you. read more

I don't know what flavor slushies they sell. I don't know if their $1 pizza slices are edible. I don't know if the staff is friendly. I don't know if the floor is sticky. I don't know if the restroom is usable. I don't know if their prices are reasonable. And I don't know if you have to wait a long time to make your purchase. What I do know is that this place smells like a massive pile of week-old-garbage. The first time I walked past it caught me off guard. The second time I walked past I asked myself "is that smell really coming from 7-11?" The third time I walked past it was confirmed. The combination of slushies and pizza make for a terrible, terrible smell. Since my first few initial walk-bys I've found myself crossing the street to avoid this place. It's just another 7-11 really. They keep it pretty clean for the amount of traffic that they see in my opinion and the stock is always well taken care of. I can't say that I've ever been in there and they didn't have exactly what I came for. Great place to quench my slurpee cravings. As a previous review mentioned, the place is smelly, but that is only the exterior because of all the homeless people outside. I went in and it smelled like my favorite foods (taquitos and corn dogs) so I had to get some along with my slurpee. As of now they are doing a promo (3 for 3$ taquitos or corn dogs). Reason for 3 stars: the slurpee prices weren't listed so I bought a small when it would have been cheaper/worth it for me to buy a large. (Oh well let's just pretend I have a small appetite). Also it took a while before someone noticed I wanted some hot foods while there were 4 workers and it was not busy. Despite this, I will be back to 7-11 even if it is a chain because I love their slurpees along with their food and the convenience of the store. Do not forget to download their app! This is one of the worst 7-Elevens I've been to. Staff are rude, and not helpful at all especially with the new checkout system 7-Eleven introduced. They do not direct you where to go or provide any customer service at all even after paying for items on the mobile application. When asked about the empty Chili/Cheese machine, they rudely instruct you to use the other condiments instead. Only saving grace for this 7-Eleven is the convenience. read more

The problem is that this 7-Eleven is located near the Bowery Mission. There are vagrants and ex-cons all over. A few blocks away is 100 Centre Street and also 80 Centre Street where there are courts and State and City offices. I was assigned to Grand Jury August 2021 and was assigned several weeks of going to the court house (as of this writing it is not over yet), and I have to get off at the Canal Street station and then walk to Centre Street. There are some eateries and delis in the area but a bit expensive so I went to the 7-Eleven at 110 Lafayette Street to get some snacks before reporting to jury duty. There is a huge intimidating guy begging with a cup and opening the door for anyone entering the store . I don't know why the management of 7-Eleven allows this. It seems that the guy at the counter is unconcerned and I guess he is not the manager but just works there. It is bad for business. I normally avoid any store that allows, or is unaware of beggars harassing or annoying customers, or trying to make customers feel obligated to donate money since they open the door for them. But I had to get something to eat quickly. One disheveled looking guy in the store bumped into me as I looked at the snacks . I almost fell over. He seemed drunk and dangerous. I ignored him. After buying some snacks I exited the 7-Eleven and did not give the beggar outside any money. It is scary the way some door-holding beggars give you a hostile look for not giving them any money. Actually there is a 7-Eleven at 311 Broadway which is also close to the courts at Centre street and it too has the problem of beggars holding the door for customers although the neighborhood is nowhere near as bad as where the 110 Lafayette Street 7-Eleven is. I don't know why 7-Eleven does not have a guard by the door to prevent the dangerous types from hanging around the store. Those at the top of the 7-Eleven corporation should read all these bad reviews and realize that they have a public image that is not favorable. Wisen up and improve your operations. read more

They have some good tasting apple fritters here. Its kind of a surprise to me.. But I have heard on occasion that their donuts are good and similar to krispy kremes sugar glazed style. The apple fritters are a good deal at 2/2.44. Not sure if its quality ingredients but tastes pretty good to me. Besides that, I wish that they had more sugar free slushy options. Just saying. Since they have so many sugar laden slushy options. What kinda person eats sugary donuts with sugar free slushies? This girl! Its all about balance people. I was so excited when they opened a 7-11 in Chinatown. It was a warm winter day; I bought a wrap and an iced mocha. First sip of the iced mocha while walking back to the office, the after taste shocked me. I thought maybe it's just me, not the drink. After second sip, I throw it away without thinking. It really tasted bad and had a very strong aftertaste. About 20 mins after I finished the wrap at work, I ran into ladies room few times to poop like there's no tomorrow. It's only 3 minutes walk from 7-11 to my office so I'm sure it's not the weather made the wrap bad. I didn't return since then. This morning when I passed by, I remember I downloaded the app for free stuffs, so I walked in and try to find the free ice-tea but nope, didn't see it... I'm too hesitating to ask since I'm not planning to make any purchase, so I walked out. Maybe they are not participating the program or they don't want to give out freebies... Who knows. Barely any coffee in the morning. There are eight giant containers of coffee and one or two are filled. Two people at the register and one working and the other doing nothing... Standing; staring into the bum abyss, dreaming of finer days when this once proud seven eleven now just a bleak outpost in the wastelands of Chinatown. Clerks drink beer in-store in the A.M. Probably end of day for the person. One thing to bay a beer another to pop it when on line with crusty custies with you. They make up their own prices on things like the the 3 for 3 deal. I wouldn't touch the condiment bar, bums hover over there like free lunch back in 86. Messy and always dirty. Bum drama all day everyday. With close proximity to Chinatown, this location reminds me of one of my favorite 7Elevens in Shanghai. Unfortunately they don't have steam buns. However, the slurpees made up for that void. Cheetos were okay. read more

It's a 7 Eleven so I can't give it more than a three star on principle. The location is clean and the staff is competent. They have a Citibank ATM, so that's a plus. I stopped in a few times this week to get some snacks while on break from Jury Duty. read more
