I first noticed Panorama Musicale while picking up lunch at Italian Peoples' Bakery next door. From the outside it still looks like an Italian shop from Chambersburg's heyday. But, walking in you realize you aren't in Jersey anymore. The language is Spanish, and the environment is Latin Café. I was there to see about lunch. The friendly owner showed me what was cooking in the water table, and I chose the fried chicken and rice. I noticed the other customers were drinking coffee, and soon understood why. Behind the counter was a copper classic expresso machine, complete with large dome and spread eagle on top. A work of art from another era. So, the chicken was dry and overcooked, and the rice only passable. I wouldn't return for their food unless desperate. For that alone, they would get two stars at most. However, I wasn't gong to leave without testing that awesome contraption, and ordered a latte to go. I watched as the process unfolded. Valves were turned. Steam pipe immersed. Foam poured. Impressive bit of engineering and design. And, the latte was excellent, too! Far better than the average joe, and at a reasonable price compared to the better known beaneries. If it had been served in ceramic, on a tray, and with a cookie, it would have garnered five stars; but given the styro cup delivery, I just couldn't get that far. Panorama Musicale could use a thorough cleaning and a little panache around its wonderful expresso machine, but as it is, it is a surprising find for superior coffee in the heart of Jersey's capital city.

Today's special was Chicken Soup and I can tell you, it was one of the best chicken soups I had in a long time. A friend recently moved to Morrisville and I found myself in the area at lunchtime after a visit. I wanted to try a few things but it looked as though the steak was a big one, so I just had that. The fries that came with it were very good too. As was foretold, the steak was one of the best I've had in years. Let me start with the roll, long seeded torp that had a light toasting. ALL steaks should be so lucky as to have this as a delivery vehicle, most sandwiches too. The beef was tender and nicely seasoned and cheese and onions were evenly distributed throughout. The portion size/cost was very fair, this was 2 meals for me. My only critique would be on the Cooper American cheese used. I would prefer a sharper cheese, Cooper sharp or even provolone. I'll inquire if there are other options. Even if there weren't, I'd still get this anytime. I saw several other lunch items of interest to me, and in the right frame of mind and early enough several breakfast options too. Service was friendly and fast. I'll likely be back next for the shrimp tacos, or just another steak. I'm at a 4.5 with just the one visit, stay tuned....

I saw they have a whole catering menu too, so that must be nice for the oddles of offices around there. Casual/semi-whimsy-semi-industrial vibe inside, with lots of space to site comfortably with a friend or by yourself. Seriously though, the folks were super nice and the coffee was the star of the show more than I expected. Very good stuff, indeed!

For how expensive it was, we were hoping the drink was gonna be good, we couldn't even finish it because of how gross it was. I do not recommend.

This review is for the day event. There is also an after party that looked like a good time. Something I immediately noticed up arrival was the level of security provided at the event throughout the day. There was a police and security staff presence. You are throughly scanned with a metal detector to go inside or to the outdoor space. Your purse is open and looked through. Several individuals in line had pat downs. The security was very thorough and still friendly. A lot of effort goes into making this feel like safe space and I really appreciate that. The block party was happening this year! A DJ provided some great music throughout the day. Outside in State Street there were some amazing street vendors selling clothing, jewelry, and make up. Terri's tshirts had the most amazing shirts. Every item is hand made and unique. Most of his tshirts also had matching tie dye patterns on the front and back. I will definitely shop with him again. After shopping we headed inside and ordered some food. There is also a smoothie bar on the left side. You can get your food and drink medicated or non medicated. It's an extra $10 to get an item medicated with 300g of thc. You could not order off the regular menu for this event. Instead there was a whiteboard of specials to help with speeding up service. The food was amazing! Food took longer than expected but we didn't mind as we were enjoying the party. It was disappointing for two of us to have our food brought out after everyone else had finished eatting and bagged up. We had to remind the cashier twice we were missing food. It was 20-30 minutes after everyone else's food was served that the last meals arrived. Definitely an area of improvement for next year. After lunch we moved to the back lounge area and there were more vendors, but these were all cannabis products. The prices were insanely low. The variety of items to pick from was fun to check out. The gentleman selling the infused beverages was giving out free samples. Several vendors had samples as well but he and his product were most memorable. There back outdoor lounge had some very comfy looking outdoor furniture and a stage for performances. Next time I'd my bring my food there to eat. I always love the Street style art that's all over the facility. The decor is the best. They even decked out their ATM. If you are into cannabis this is really a cool spot to visit, especially on 4/20.

First of all, it is the closest takeout restaurant to the Civil courthouse( also known as the place where potential jurors come to check in and wait to be called) I love that they share a small storefront with a florist, but it does make for tight quarters, esp during the ordering and waiting process. And the customer service was top notch. My first visit was for a lunch order. It was difficult trying to read the specials of the day menu, let alone the standard menu. This was due to timing, several people were ordering and or waiting. Once chicken quesadillas caught my eye I stopped reading. My selection came out fairly quickly and was packaged with small containers of salsa Fresca and sour cream. But I'm pretty sure menu read that some type of salad was also included, this was left out. They were pretty good too, well seasoned pulled chicken and cheese, the flour tortillas were perfectly grilled and stayed that way even in the package. It was a nice serving and I would have really enjoyed had it come with a fresh and simple salad. I would order again as well. My next two visits were just for a pick me up bakery item. The pumpkin muffin was excellent. The chocolate chip one was not very good. Not enough chips and a dry texture. But during each trip the owner was right up front and being helpful and friendly to all. I feel that this spirit does go into the food that is prepared and served here. Good spot for locals, workers and even the confused juror.

Walk past their kitchen and it is Amoroso's Flower Shop, where you can still buy a bouquet of roses for your anniversary. Love the adaptive reuse of this old storefront on S. Broad Street, Trenton; right across from the very old courthouse. It is hard to find driving by, and there are seldom parking spaces within the surrounding area. But, if you work or live in the neighborhood, or go to the new civil or criminal courts, you can walk over and pick up soup, sandwich, breakfast muffin, etc., on your way to the office. It closes at 2:00 pm. Service is exemplary given how small the space is. The two friendlies who helped me out were attractive and efficient. One made up my grilled chicken chipotle wrap, while the other provided the history of the business and worked the register. Both were happy to pose for photos when I pulled out my Yelp screen after ordering. You can see the results. The lunch was very good. Fresh, quality ingredients and TLC. Plenty of stuffing for a large wrap. It was enough for two meals. @ $8.50, it was a spectacular deal.
