Chicken & Waffle Sandwich with sweet potato fries.
Jerry P.

A pleasantly surprised five stars! Despite my decidedly unaltered state, I did indeed have the munchies with an indescribable urge for some chicken and waffles. A quick scan of a 3rd party delivery app for said dish led me to the mercurial Mr. Forchion's joint. I ordered chicken and waffle sandwich with a side of "I'm So Stoned" Fries. A few minutes later, a very pleasant woman called to let me know that they regrettably had run out of Willie Nelson chili for the night, and were unable to complete my fries as ordered. I was offered the choice of turkey bacon in lieu of the chili (hard pass!) or an order of sweet potato fries topped with honey and cinnamon. Clearly I made the right choice, because those fries were absolutely amazing. They even threw in an empanada for the trouble. Nice touch. The chicken and waffle sandwich was perfectly good. No one is trying to redefine a classic here: "standard size" waffle folded over a few pieces of nicely fried chicken tenders, with some sweet chili sauce on the side (which seemed to be duck sauce with some chili flakes sprinkled in. Look, it works.). The menu here is oddly extensive and should satisfy all your cholesterol-fueled desires. I look forward to trying other items in person soon.

Beef Empanada.

I had the beef empanadas. I have tried them in some bodegas but this was very good. Plump with beef. Crunchy, tasty crust. Excellent taste without being very spicy. Good size. Thanks everybody at the Joint. Great place!

Dozen Wings with Weedman's Sauce

Ordered delivery for a dozen Weedman wings and fries. Delivery service was excellent. I selected 'hard fry' as an option for the wings, but I didn't find the wings very hard fried - the fat was still more gooey than crisp. But, the wings tasted a little overdone. Maybe the fryer wasn't hot enough? Not sure. Fries were crinkled, and tasty. Weedman sauce was a bit more bbq-like than I expected, but that wasn't a bad thing.

BEWARE Sells a bunch of fake, counterfeit, low quality, DANGEROUS, PESTICIDE filled products & PGRs. Even after being a steady weekly customer for the last 2 YEARS, (& a supporter for over a decade) who spends thousands of dollars, I was still treated with ZERO Respect. (I picked up for not only myself, but both my mother, and Aunt, who are both cancer patients) After this happened multiple times, & the price continued to rise, & the quality continued to drop, I brought the issue of the fake stuff to Ed's attention. ALONG WITH PROOF, his exact words were "If I were you I would keep my mouth shut, & just buy your weed" & then he revoked my membership that I had just paid $100 for, & told me it was no longer valid. No refund issued...For The membership HE CANCELED or for all the COUNTERFEIT crap he sold me. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED... I guess this is what you get for being a supporter of Ed Forchion.

A friend recently moved to Morrisville and I found myself in the area at lunchtime after a visit. I wanted to try a few things but it looked as though the steak was a big one, so I just had that. The fries that came with it were very good too. As was foretold, the steak was one of the best I've had in years. Let me start with the roll, long seeded torp that had a light toasting. ALL steaks should be so lucky as to have this as a delivery vehicle, most sandwiches too. The beef was tender and nicely seasoned and cheese and onions were evenly distributed throughout. The portion size/cost was very fair, this was 2 meals for me. My only critique would be on the Cooper American cheese used. I would prefer a sharper cheese, Cooper sharp or even provolone. I'll inquire if there are other options. Even if there weren't, I'd still get this anytime. I saw several other lunch items of interest to me, and in the right frame of mind and early enough several breakfast options too. Service was friendly and fast. I'll likely be back next for the shrimp tacos, or just another steak. I'm at a 4.5 with just the one visit, stay tuned....

The entire place was decorated with heart balloons, flowers on the wall, and the sweetest music playing. Even their regular decor is spectacular; the tables are spotless, beautiful velvet green chairs, and the cleanest bathroom. I also LOVE that their menu is a tour of South America because you can get such a variety of different flavors. We started with an order of their beef empanadas which were spectacular ! Then I ordered a Costa Rican Gallo Pinto breakfast (black beans, rice, chorizo, avocado, sweet pla trains and egg). Hubby ordered a exican breakfast of huevos rancheros (cubed potatoes, sausage, onions, peppers, chorizo, eggs and red sauce). Our son ordered the Nutella, strawberry pancakes which he also LOVED. Everything was very reasonably priced between $13-17 and was a good portion. The coffee was also amazing, sadly $5 which was a little pricey with no refills...but I'm happy to support a small business versus a chain. Kevin who was our server was so sweet and kept checking in to make sure we were liking our food. Then at the end of our meal they gave us the most delicious flan because it was Valentine's Day! Make aure to check this place out, parking is a little tricky, but otherwise it is worth the trip into Chambersburg.

From the look of things, it has fallen into the strongest ownership and has a great chance of achieving longevity in this old river town neighborhood. If jazz is your sound, Rosetta's will fill that niche in your soul. From the moment I walked in and took a stool at the counter, the smooth jazz soundtrack kept me company. The presence of a full drum kit, electric keyboard and microphone stands in the front of the house by the entry door had me wondering if I would be lucky enough to audience a morning session. It wasn't to be, but it sure did set the mood for evening possibilities. My breakfast was simple. Sausage, fried egg and provolone cheese on rye sandwich, with side of home fries (onions & peppers added). The chef's skilled hands were visible from my seat, as was his laughing interaction with customers who called him out to acknowledge his presence. That was fun. The meal was good, but would have been exceptional had the sandwich been doubled up (2 of everything) and presented on an English muffin of Kaiser rather than sliced rye. The limited choice of white, wheat or rye for this creation missed the mark. Those taters on the other hand, were excellent and the java strong, fresh and tasty. PRO TIP - Add this big boy to the morning menu as a choice for those who appreciate what double meat, egg and cheese can do for the satisfaction of the hungry. Otherwise, it was all worthwhile. That Sunday brunch with mimosa and AYCE spread accompanied by live jazz is totally appealing, and we may drop in soon.

So when I used to work in L'ville and could get Route 1 Diner delivered through Uber Eats it was a treat indeed. I often ordered the turkey Reuben, omelettes, BLTs, fish sandos, and quesadillas. All good but the actual standout here is the STEAK FRIES! They are fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. They're the best steak fries by far and possibly a top 3 restaurant fry of all time for me. Even by delivery they arrive crisp. I've since left that job near the diner but when I find myself in the area I can't help but stop in to get the fries. I was actually hesitant to do so at first - kinda like lifting the curtain back on Oz. But there's no trickery here - the waitstaff is friendly in person, the food is hot and fresh, and incredibly priced. This diner is such a gem and I am admittedly jealous of people who live nearby. Def stop in - well worth the trip. Enjoy my pics!

The take out only shop may have a very small footprint, but it offers a very large, freshly fried chicken sammy, in contradistinction to those contenders from all the other fast food franchises. These tasty guys are cut thin and nicely breaded; and cooked only when ordered, so nothing sits around losing their edge. Upon unwrapping, the roll cannot contain the dimensions of the filet, as it sticks out beyond the bun in all directions. Yet, the bread holds together well, and is a firm grip to the last bite, even with the cheese, bacon, mayo and other garnishment that come with it. We sampled the Spicy Chicken, Chicken Club, Garlic Chicken and Original; two as combos with fries and macaroni & cheese, and soda; and two straight up sandwiches. They were all fairly similar, so unless you object to certain finishes, you can't go wrong with any of them. On the other hand, there was no point to reaching up for the combos, as the fries were limp and unimpressive, and the mac/cheese, strictly from an industrial mix and forgettable. The individual sandwich was $7.49 and the combo $11.99. There was no rationality to the $4.50 bump up, and in fact it approached rip off territory. Maybe, $2.50 could be justified, but they need to reconsider their value proposition. So, really liked the place, enjoyed the chicken and sandwich, but question the need for the exorbitant inferior combos. 3.5 STARS
