Considering you can make anything here for pennies on the dollar with a blender and electricity, I always kick myself when I'm counting the coins that my twenty turned into. However, it's not their fault that I'm lazy and make an empty promise to myself to round up all of the simple ingredients next time I'm at the store. No matter, Smoothie King is a personal favorite and I'm reasonably sure they're healthy in the same way I give wide nutritional latitude to Light Beer. With that cozy rationalization out of the way, SK rocks and they keep me from retrieving my blender from the unopened box it came in. A reluctant favorite but favorite nonetheless. read more

Very clean place, but No Drive thru service, which would have made this visit so much easier, but there is a Large parking lot. It was a bit strange because the signs have threats of being Towed away at Owners expense if you are not going to a small business, but the whole Lot is in a Shopping plaza with a ton of small businesses. Very mind boggling. Anyways, this store was jumping with business and Blenders were Whirring away mixing Up some Yummy smoothies for All. There is a Fitness center in the plaza, so, I'm sure that helps to be nearby, too So, unfortunately, I'm on a Strict eating plan of No Sugars, No Legumes, No Dairy, No carbs, No gluten, No flour, Nothing with Grains. So, basically, I'm restricted from Most Anything. I'm a bit disappointed, because the 2 young ladies at this store didn't seem to know much about the choices if there is a Person with restrictions, which made me feel like walking out and going to Cry because I was Hot, Hungry. VERY very Hungry and Basically, if I wanted to take out the sugar and dairy (Dairy whey protein powder) I was being told that there was Nothing to Put in its place. Very frustrating. So, we Are trying to Also get Pregnant. I opted for the PreMama with Prenatal vitamins and once I left and drove away the Powder vitamin, I'm Assuming that is what it was, was Still powdery and just not mixed very well. Came in to buy energy bars. Cannot talk to the quality of the smoothies. I stood by the cash register while the feckless, drooling cashier stared off into space and slowly rang up smoothie customers. When nobody else was there she spent 2 minutes slowly emptying a roll of pennies into the cash drawer. It was like watching a slow-motion video. She finally rang me up but, I could have easily walked to another store and back again while waiting to be served. read more

Other than Tropical Smoothie Cafe, this is pretty much the only smoothie place within a 25 minute radius. Tropical Smoothie is great and I like that they have a food menu, but other than that, I kind of think Smoothie King has better smoothies. Most places offer smoothies in 1 or 2 different sizes, but Smoothie King offers 4!!! 12oz all the way up to 40oz! Aside from that, I think Smoothie King offers the best all natural and healthiest smoothies that you can get in the area. They even offer 11 different enchancers that you can add to any smoothie. And lastly, they have the largest selection of energy bars that I've seen in a restaurant and they even sell other things like blender bottles, etc. read more

There may be a few health-conscious choices at Smoothie King, however, for the most part, you're either getting something high in sugar, high in calories, or a mix of both. Whenever I'm sick, I don't want to eat... So I end up here. My go-to drink is the Pure Recharge - Strawberry (with a dose of the immune add-in when I'm ill). Just one of these in 40 oz has 400+ calories, and I use it as a meal replacement. Staff is always friendly and prompt. The kiddies like this place too, so it was a great summertime drop in, on our way to some foodie adventure. Ordered a smoothie. It tasted pretty good. It cost $7.00. I did not see any adults working there, only 3 high school kids who were having typical teen conversations while helping customers. The menu offers all sorts of weird ingredients you can have in your smoothie for purported health benefits. It just seemed there was a disconnect between the juvenile staff and the expensive and quasi-medical nature of the stuff they are selling. read more
