Opened my sandwich which was huge, much bigger than I expected. Honestly, saw the size and lost my appetite, it was just too big! Cut the half, in half and dug in. I'm also impressed by their online ordering system - everything is very intuitive and works flawlessly. The process for picking up an online order is simple as well - just open door #2 (designated as the no contact pickup door) and grab your food. I recently got the Italian sub for myself and it was tasty. Nothing super fancy, but it got the job done and everything tasted fresh. The macaroni salad (my side) wasn't my favorite, but I think I'm just super picky. They have meatballs and sausage. I recommend getting both on one sandwich. That's it. No nonsense. No gimmicks. A simple menu goes a long way. Someone in front of you, their first time in this place? You won't be worrying about them taking 17 minutes to figure out their order. -Friendly staff. The owners are usually there on weekdays. The weekend crew is solid, I assume they're carefully vetted by the leadership team. Everyone is welcoming, they acknowledge regulars, they work FAST, and they pack your food, drinks and chips perfectly in a paper bag for easy transportation with no mess. They wear branded shirts and hats for a nice clean look. You can buy a shirt. I did. I am wearing it now. -The bread is good, my friends. They bake it on site. You can get wheat or white. It's soft and fresh. No weird nuts or seeds on top, it is as smooth as a baby's bottom. -You want more than sandwiches? They have a soup of the day (I've had chicken noodle and it delivers). They have the chip standards. Plain. SC&O. BBQ. S&V. Probably some others but if those 4 don't do it for you, I don't know if you'll ever be happy with anything. They have bottled Stewart's drinks along with the pedestrian sodas. Fountain drinks as well. Pickles are good and cheap, as all pickles should be. -You can sit inside, watch a game as you eat. This bullet is fairly straightforward. -They have deals. Lunch specials. If you load a gift card it comes with a free sandwich. Sometimes there are specials you can find out about on their social media. -The toppings are fresh. Nice crisp chopped lettuce. Juicy tomatoes. Onions doing their onion thing and doing it well. I'm a fan of the chopped hot peppers (ON THE SIDE! If your father-in-law ends up splitting it with you they are too spicy for him!). They added bacon a few years back. -Great for catering. I've used them for maybe 5 events. Huge 3-foot subs on HUGE bread that feed a lot of people. Don't embarrass yourself by going with a chain sandwich restaurant. This is the spot for catering. You even get a little squeezy bottle filled with oil and vinegar. To keep. Forever. -There's a bathroom, that's a plus, right? So that is why they're my favorite. Other places nearby have bigger menus. Doesn't matter. You'll find a favorite sandwich here. I'm a #4 man myself. And again, do not sleep on the tuna wrap. I believe every review should include constructive criticism. I do sometimes wish they had fresh mozzarella. That being said, I know a lot of people from the sandwich industry that find stocking mozzy to be a challenge, so I'm not taking away any points for that. I love that they have both white and whole wheat options for their rolls and wraps. Most times these days we order online and it is so easy. Best part is their weekday lunch special. Half a sub (8") and a bag of chips. It is fast and convenient to order ahead and pickup. It is nearly just as fast if you place your order in person. They put the Wawa next store to shame with the size and quality of their sandwiches! They have a long list of subs, wraps and salads to choose from and a good selection of drinks and larger size chips if you want more than the snack size you get with the special. One of my favorite sub shops in the area! Why ANYONE would go to Wawa across the parking lot for a sandwich is beyond me. Portions are always generous and high-quality lunch meats and cheeses are used. As is requited of any decent sub shop in the area, the bread is also excellent. Staff is always friendly and happy to serve. Their new store layout for COVID mitigation is simply outstanding. If you're ordering in person, you enter Door #1, masks and social distancing are required and well labeled at the entrance and inside. If you are ordering using their website or an app, you don't even have to enter the store. Just go to Door #2, where an old shelving unit has been repurposed to place all the to-go orders on (and block entry to anyone opening the door!). Just look for your name, grab the bag, and you're on your way. My only knock on the place is the lack of options, as they only offer 16 varieties (and most of them are fairly similar). While I appreciate the mantra of "do one thing and do it well,"I'm more of a variety is the spice of life kinda guy. Still, a great local sub shop that I encourage you to check out! read more

I was in search of a local hoagie spot and I've found it!! The subs here are delicious! I don't have a single suggestion to improve because they're already perfect. Our sub of choice was the Italian with everything on it. The bread is fresh and soft. Staff is friendly and attentive. The parking lot is on the smaller side, but customers are in and out Farley quickly. So parking shouldn't be a problem. Classic Sub Shop is just that. A small space in which fresh ingredient sandwiches, wraps and salads are prepared enthusiastically by a young staff that really seems to enjoy what they do. I ordered a Roast Turkey & Swiss Half Sub. I watched as the meat was carefully sliced, followed by the Cheese, after being given the option of white or wheat bread, wrap or long roll. I went roll and added Mayo, Lettuce and Sweet Peppers. Their $5 lunch special permitted me a choice of chips or potato/macaroni salad. When I opened this neat package at my desk, I beheld a sleek torpedo in a white waxed paper coat. It was very good from top to bottom and side to side. Every element was fresh and tasty. The roll was light and pliant. While I might prefer a French baguette style with a nice crust, this smooth alternative did not disturb me once I realized its freshness and how well the creation melded together. It is great to know that this kind of throwback joint can exist and thrive today. It definitely felt that they were from a time when even simple things like a good sandwich mattered a lot. On Saturday, I was returning from playing golf and asked my wife if I should bring home lunch. She suggested that I stop here. It's not a very large store with maybe 4/5 tables should you choose to eat in. There were a few people ahead of me when I arrived but the line moved quickly. You are given a choice of white bread or whole wheat hoagie bread. The roll was very fresh. We ordered a whole tuna hoagie with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. The tuna was fresh and not too much mayonnaise. They also offer lunch specials although I'm not sure if it's available during the weekends. Otherwise, pricing for the hoagies were reasonable. I'll definitely be returning to try some other hoagies. read more

I recently was in town and had the chance to stop in for a sandwich. I used to live in Hamilton and was a regular when they first opened around 2007. I was always rooting for the owners to make it and they clearly have. The location is no frills. There is an old school deli counter, a listing of different sandwiches, a chip rack and a few tables. I always get the classic Italian, including this visit. My wife was with me and got the BLT. She loved it. They offer generous portions and I like that they have a 9" sub, which for them is plenty. Too many places offer the small 6 inch and then you have to jump to a footlong. Not this place. Their bread is outstanding and they use quality ingredients all around. Always nice up front. You can tell you're in a place that cares about its community when you see all the Little League team sponsorships they've done. I own a business and I can tell you that is much more expensive than people realize. The reciprocated bump in business with that is a little overrated too, i.e. if you're doing that it's primarily because you want to support your community. Happy to see these guys are doing well.
