I was there at the same time as "John S." His account is far from the truth and is inaccurate. The coffee was brewing, I guess not fast enough for him. So , the clerk recommended the next best option, the other machine that brews per cup. Not a big deal right? Wrong. Before "John" started recording, he was the one that was yelling and cursing at both ladies behind the counter about being lazy and not brewing coffee - yet, the coffee was already brewing! Ever since they changed staff last year they suck. Just got refused an exchange because they gave me the wrong item and he couldn't figure out how to do it. So I ended up wasting a lot of money. Parking was easy Walked in and the 7.11oz cups where at the counter and by the Slurpee machine which made it easy to get more then one- which we did....Not to be greedy but too take some home for our family that didn't come with us. It is a 711 you buy your stuff and you go. Morning people are chipper, and the night folks are cool. They got rid of the crazy graveyard guy who might have been a serial killer. I NEVER come here for the service. I only come here for the convenience and it being in my neighborhood. I can't stand how many times I have been harassed here, by the bums that sit just outside. I don't like how there have been people standing just outside the door smoking. I dislike how so often I walk into an aisle only to have to turn around and go the other way because there is either a mess on the floor or because their clerk was in the middle of shipment and left their messy containers and what not in the middle of the aisle. I have been coming here for years and the other problem that I have is that at least one of the clerks or cashiers always mistakes me for someone else that they have reserved the right to provide service to. It stinks, dang doppelgänger problems. Like I said, I don't come here for the service. I come here to get in and out with what I need and that is it. Customer service is great, my local store and it is locally owned, owner is a gem :) well stocked, and employees are very helpful.

Everyone here has always been very nice. My boyfriend and I are regulars since it's so convenient and the hours are great. The only problem at this location is the bum issue but they don't really bother you if you just ignore them. There's really nothing the employees can do about it. It would be really helpful if people would stop giving them stuff so they wouldn't hang around all drunk and making the place smell like piss. read more

The first thing I noticed was their new advertised product: the nacho cheese triangle things. Seems like the byproduct of processed bread, cheese and and unknown preservatives coming together for one big chemical explosion. Where is the healthy food???!!?? The customer service was good. The cashier helped me with my money order and the line moved pretty quickly. 7/11 is convenient, but not healthy and does not represent the silver lake soul and spirit. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Went in to purchase some Tylenol. I looked very closely at the price tag which said $3.29. I get to the checkout and it scanned for $4.19. I glanced back at the price and told Alex they rung up wrong. And that he had to give me the price listed. Alex began to ARGUE as if he owned Seven Eleven and had stocks in Tylenol. I walked out. Just your typical 7-Eleven in Silverlake - Los Feliz area. There's a redbox here so you can get your snacks and rent a movie. There's plenty of parking and the staf is nice enough. On a side note, there's always a bum here with some crackheads / crackdealers just chilling by the left side. Be safe. read more

Another great 711. I once saw Kristin Wigg here. Unfortunately, I have to deduct one point from this local 711's rating because a past clerk was pretty creepy. Here's the story: He found my wallet in the parking lot. He first called my credit card companies to try to get my number which resulted in my credit and debit cards being canceled. He then called my video rental store who agreed to call me for him in order to give me his contact information to retrieve the wallet. After a couple of conversations on how to pick it up, I arrived in an Alhambra area parking lot to find the man on the other end of the phone had been no other than the inappropriately-flirtatious clerk who worked under a mile away from my Los Feliz home. I was creeped out to say the least. PS. Be aware that the short wall bordering the front end of the 711 parking lot on Hyperion is very difficult to see when backing up. I stop in here once a week to get my coffee fix. I like the cream selection and coffee selection when available too. I like to get the 2 for $3 water bottles I wish they offered Califa coffee or almond milk small bottles. Staff is alright, they've been nice to me so far. I purchase an item hat required a bag. I told Gustavo up front I needed a bag (the little paper ones) he left out the charge on my receipt. When I asked him for a bag he said he would have to go back into my card to charge me. I told him I told you upfront I needed a bag and you didn't charge me that's on you. It was a work order and I couldn't use the card twice and I didn't have my personal card with me or cash. When I asked to speak to a manager he said he didn't know of a manager that works there or what time he or she comes in. I told them I don't understand when you purchase liquor you don't charge people for a bag all I am asking for is that bag because he made a mistake and left the bag out of the charge. Just left 7-Eleven and saw a Hispanic/Latino woman there working changing the trash. I am disabled parked in the handicap that was directly in front of her. I went inside the store and I said hello in Spanish and she looked at me with a scowl. I proceeded over to the Amazon locker and put in my code to pick up my items. I heard the sound notify me of an Amazon locker opening but looked down and saw nothing so I said to the lady that was near me that works there excuse me can you help me she said to me that's not my problem that's a different business I work for 711. And then she walked over and pointed with her foot a locker that was partially open that I could not see because of my blindness. Her customer skills are very terrible and she is very rude! If this was purely for the inside of the 7-Eleven, it would be 5 stars. Their employees are all really nice, the store is always fully-stocked and pretty clean, and it's in a really convenient location in general, but especially for me since I live down the street. But they lose 2 stars for the constant presence of homeless people. There is always at least one homeless person outside by the door, sometimes joined by a second homeless person on the other side of the door. There's also sometimes another homeless person hanging out in the parking lot. I don't expect them to call the cops since the cops probably won't do anything, but you have to do something to at least deter the homeless people from constantly hanging out there. Give them the donuts you throw out at the end of the day if they promise to stay away for the rest of the day maybe? Rent a van and give them all a free ride to Venice? If you were homeless, wouldn't you rather spend your days on the beach than at a 7-Eleven? read more
