This 7-Eleven in Little Tokyo is definitely a solid spot for a quick late-night run. It's big, bright, and surprisingly spacious for a convenience store. I stopped by around 11pm on a Monday night and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They had everything you'd expect, and the location is really convenient. It was right across the street from the DoubleTree by Hilton that I was staying at. So if you're staying in the area or just passing through on foot (it's on a busy corner), it's easy to swing by. It's your typical 7-Eleven experience, nothing mind-blowing but nothing terrible either. It's a good spot for grabbing snacks or drinks if you need something quick, but it didn't offer anything that made it stand out from the hundreds of other 7-Elevens out there. Parking can be a little tight in the area since it's Little Tokyo, but nothing too wild if you don't mind walking a block or so. It was pretty dead when I was out and about walking. There was a few people experiencing homelessness and there was a fight that broke out in the area but again, I didn't feel unsafe. I would suggest getting on a bike or a scooter to be able to ride faster if you are feeling unsure. Overall, a perfectly fine place to stop by if you're in the neighborhood or need something late at night, but don't expect anything beyond your typical 7-Eleven experience. read more

My second time I bought a sausage egg n cheese croissant in this store. 1st time was terrible, the croissandwich was still half frozen and the croissant was partially soggy-wet. Not worth eating! I gave it the benefit of the doubt the second time, and the same croissandwich I got was just slightly warm, and the sausage was barely cooked. This 7-Eleven has a serious Quality Control problem, and the corporate will need to intervene. Else, this location will drag the overall reputation of 7-Eleven to the pits! Management at this 7-11 consistently posts discounted sale prices which they refuse to honor at the register. I have even had cashiers double down and insist they are giving the discount, when the itemized display shows it is not being applied. Beware this place. At best, their retail business is sloppy. Large 7-11 with a larger than usual selection of snacks and drinks (they even have an asian snack section. They got pizza wings everything..... except this is one of those weird 7-11's that don't carry alcohol ( no beer, no wine, nothing. But you can get a beer pong set if you want...... The workers are nice. The security makes you take your bags and place them on oa shelf at the front before you can go shop in the store. There are lots of homeless than gather out front to pan handle people going in or passing by the store. It can get pretty bad, with 5-6 of them just hanging out side and yelling and shuffling about. 2 stars mostly cause they don't have alcohol. Whats the point of 7-11 if theres no alcohol? read more

Got profiled here for wearing a backpack (im a college student) & taking too long to shop (i was there for 3 minutes). Have been here a few times before because its close by & have gotten snacks with no issue, even though theyre expensive, but this time I got stopped & accused of stealing. Security told me to bring my back pack up front because the owner was "scared" & was timing me because they thought I "looked like a thief". I was actually going to do it so I could continue shopping, then I thought "why would I shop where I'm not respected?" and left. Never going here again. The strange thing is I remember other customers shopping with backpacks with no issue in past visits, but not me. Walk almost a mile out of my way in the wee hours to hit the hot chocolate machine and opt for the Chai Spice flavor. Not only do they charge $3.99 for a large (compared to 2.79 in other locations), they have the flavor turned down so low it's drinking dark dirty water. I tried sneaking 2 tea bags and a bit more cinnamon in but it only made it worse so I ended up just tossing the whole thing in the trash and walking out. The largest 7-11 I have ever been to! The selection is so huge with such a variety of items. Everything from pints of ice cream to firewood to freshly baked cookies! The store is clean, which is great. They even have some packages for beer pong! There is even some pre-packaged foods for on the go. read more

This brand new 7-11 opened today at the corner of the AVA building. I came for their free big gulp promotion and saw that they had a large array of the standard convenient store snacks, such as American chips, breakfast sandwiches, donuts, etc. I was surprised to see that they had a selection of japanese chips, I assume due to the fact that it is situated in Little Tokyo. The store is brand new so everything was clean and orderly. The staff were helpful and approached us as we were staring at their soda and slurpee selection. They have three registers so they have the capacity to accommodate more transactions more than the typical, smaller 7-11. I grabbed a hot dog knowing that it was fresh (being that it was the grand opening and all) and havd no complaints. I'll definitely come back here if I need something quick and convenient. read more

This place barely opened and they started out with their worst foot forwards. I've had a lot of trouble trying to ask the cashiers anything or specifying what i want from them. Why? Because they either don't speak English iyer don't speak it well. Just today, i had to repeat the word, "refill" 8+ times before i gave up and let them charge me full office for my results drink. So I enter this 7-Eleven and asked the employee for the atm. So I go to the atm and took out money. I put my money in my wallet and my wallet in my pocket.I start heading toward the exit and the security stops me. He demanded to empty out my pockets. This was my first time in Los Angeles. This was also the first store I go to, to buy a water and one of the workers accused me of stealing something when I went to pay for my water. He made me empty my pockets on the table to prove to him that I didn't steal and then just said "oh" then walked off. 0/10 store. Do not patronize this location, they are taking advantage of their customers during this crisis. I can understand that they serve coffee behind the counter, but they only serve small cups now instead of larger sizes. So those of us using the app to take advantage of the coffee special no longer have a choice of sizes. I have seen other 7-11 locations as well as other C-stores eliminate their hot food offerings to reduce chances of their customers getting infected. Security watched me like a hawk, was incredibly rude when I asked about their store hours, yelled at me when my facemask was off for .02 seconds, etc. Also they are often out of products here and don't do all the same deals (2 for $2 on 7-Eleven candy, etc) that's other 7-eleven's have. I work nearby little tokyo, i was a regular everytime im on my break i would go buy myself a snack. Today however all because i walked in with a bag (see through bag) all i had was tshirts in them along with a recipt proof of purchase, i was stopped rudely by one of the security staff yelling at me to leave my bag by the entrance yet he allowed a homeless guy in with two huge bags... i ofcourse argued since it was not fair a homeless guy is more likely to steal im a regular 25 year old who works nearby!
