I was running errands in the area and wanted a quick - really quick - bite to eat. I thought this…read moreupscale convenience store might be a good option. I'd stopped in once for beer and knew it was pricey, but locally owned convenience stores are typically pricey. And I know the rent here must be hefty, so... I get it. It's a nice little store - well stocked with impressive variety. Mind you, they don't have much in the way of meals to-go, but that wasn't too surprising. I think they're catering to locals by having an excellent wine selection, a respectable beer selection, and a good to very good selection of general food groceries. The store was very clean. After deciding that a pre-packaged, mass-produced sandwich sounded awful, I pieced together a fun on-the-road meal of crackers and cheese. They had 5 varieties of Triscuits, which was a pleasant surprise, and I settled on the smoked gouda. Good choice - rich, flavorful, salty. Instead of a block of cheese, I bought two cheese sticks (I know, I know) to eat with my Triscuits. It actually made for a yummy and healthy on-the-fly meal. The lady running the store had the air of being the owner, but I'm not sure. She was on the phone the whole time, speaking what turned out to be German. She did pause long enough to talk to me when I was ready to check out, but she didn't acknowledge me otherwise the entire time I was there. And I was there longer than planned since Yelp was in serious need of some pics of this place... So minus one star for lack of customer service. When you pay a notable premium for a locally owned, high-end food mart like this, it'd be nice to be acknowledged. $5 for the Triscuits and cheese sticks were $1 each. $7 for a very quick, healthy meal with delicious Triscuits left over. Pricey? Very. But that wasn't surprising. A well-stocked mini-grocery store in a high-rent area of town is there for convenience, and you pay for convenience. Period. But at least it comes with selection and covers a lot of bases in a small space.

I did not appreciate the customer service and will not return ever again and I will share my experience in social media for people to be aware. My advise is for the owners to make sure their employees act professionally to avoid costing them money.

Came in here while in town because of course I forgot something. I came to CVS as I had extra care…read morebucks which meant my item would be free! I thought I had loaded the extra care bucks on my card and was having issues checking out. I asked one of the staff for help who came to help me in self check out. Found out that I had not sent them to my card and that since I was already in the transaction it would not allow me to use them. Staff cancelled out my transaction and I rescanned everything and it worked! Only had to pay $.70 which was a win in my book. I was able to find parking in the parking lot easily and was greeted upon walking in. It took me a minute to find what I needed as all of them have different lay outs but I was able to find it quickly and get checked out. Overall an easy in and out trip and I would come here again if needed when in town.

If I'm running into a corner drugstore, it's because I want a quick in-and-out experience. A couple…read moreOTC meds, a gift bag, maybe a birthday card I forgot to mail. Convenience is literally the entire point. So imagine my surprise, walking into CVS find one of the two self checkout, kiosks, broken, align 6 to 7 people deep, and the clerk sitting behind the counter eating chips while everyone waited to ring themselves up. Occasionally, she'd wander over with her Chito dusted fingers to waive her badge at the kiosk when someone got stuck, then head right back towards our snack break instead of actually helping customers. By the time, I finally checked out, I understood exactly why people just shop online now. Convenience only works when the store actually values your time.
