Granted, it's dry outside today, but usually the brushes are nice and wet when they hit my car. And I was right behind another car that had just been washed. Hopefully my paint didn't get scratched up from the dry buffing.

This station is at about mile 15 of my cycling warmup before I start Santiago. It is here that cyclists take measure of their stamina to complete the many hill climbs and rigor of getting through the canyons. You fill up with water, Gatorade, energy bars, food, cool off in the A/C, and last chance for a nice restroom. They have everything you need here to support your ride. Cyclists are major regulars here and they never use the pumps! Failure to stop here before entering Santiago for the 20+ mile ride through the canyons back out on the other end to Jamboree will result in you being a good dinner for Coyotes. That is how important this Chevron is to the cycling community. And like a couple of weeks ago--I checked my legs, and watch after the climb up Alton to this Chevron and decided not to do it. Maybe next time. But I love the sport top Gatorade's hard to find in other places. And their refrigerators keep the drinks COLD!
