It was worth it, because while I waited I brought me some yummy donuts and a cronut and a vanilla shortbread coffee. Everything was delicious and although it was crowded and the staff was understaff, lol everyone was still polite with pleasant attitudes. I will say although this idea is cute, it's nothing like the original bagel, because it's actually smaller than what you they are offering here, and in my opinion nothing beats the original. I've had it and it just hits different you need to try it to understand what I mean. I don't know how long they will have this offer, but I was told they would be adding a pumpkin spice stuff bagel to the mix as well, but I will not be coming back for that one, it's a one and done for me. The menu has options for coffee and tea lovers alike. My go to order has been Iced Matcha. It's high quality Matcha and mixed well. They do serve it unsweetened but they have simple syrup and sugar at a stand by the door if you want to add it yourself. I have also tried the seasonal coffee flavors; all were hits. The pastries are freshly baked and they sell some artisanal snacks too. My favorites pastries are the almond croissant and cheese danish but you can't go wrong with any of the choices. There has not been a time I've come by and received poor customer service. The staff is genuinely kind. If you're in the neighborhood or just want to pop by this quaint cafe, I'd highly recommend it. Additionally, I've waited on PLENTY of lines for viral foods in NYC (iykyk) & have never seen a place sell out AT THE EXACT TIME THEY OPEN! 50% of food businesses fail within 5 years of opening because this industry is HARD. We were on a day trip to City Island and decided to stop for a quick caffeine boost. Honestly, their lattes looked too milky and watery which is why we ended up getting a Regular Coffee. I love that they have the classic NYC cups which is so hard to see these days! The Little Fella Regular Coffee did the job caffeine-wise.
