I love that they are listed in too good to go app. As that is how my family came to kearn about this Greek coffee shop in the whitestone area. Their pastry like the mini spinach pies with cheese or just feta pie are delicious breakfast alternatives. My favorites are: Kololouri cheese or tomato and olive, looks like a thin circle very tasty and flaky dough filled with cheese or tomate and olive filling, very savory. Spinach and cheeae pie, just like grandma's Mini cheese pie or spinach and cheese Cream pie with hint of cinnamon- oh delicious, a slice of heaven Should wash it all down with a frappe! read more

Under Pressure Coffee - Iced Passion Fruit Green Tea & Iced Caramel Latte - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Whitestone, New York

There's a café near my workplace, so I visited it for the first time today. I went with a coworker, and we bought coffee, matcha, and four pastries, then brought them back to the office. We were excited and cut them into pieces to share. But when I took a bite of the Glazed Carrot Cake with Walnuts, it tasted strange. When I looked closely, I saw mold on it. I was really upset. It looked like it had been sitting out for several days. I was so disappointed that they would sell something that isn't fresh. Just to be safe, we couldn't eat the other pastries either. In the end, we threw away everything we had bought for $39.74, and I don't think I can go back to that café again. read more

Wow, this place is definitely worth stopping by. The prices are inexpensive, the quality of food and beverages were outstanding. They had a huge selection of pastries and drinks! From tea to coffee, iced to hot, they even had alternative milk! Great service, very quick, very kind. Their physical store is great to sit and chat with a friend or sit outside and enjoy the weather. They have good seating choices and it's worth to check out! I'm a matcha lover, and my iced matcha was gone under a minute! Love this place. read more

Super cute cafe with tasty drinks! There's nice seating, cute ambiance, and good service. There's a variety of matchas and the rose matcha latte is sooo good. I also got an almond croissant which was to die for. The barista was so nice and accommodating, I initially ordered a blueberry smoothie and I wasn't a huge fan of it, the smoothie tasted more like yogurt than an actual smoothie. I explained this to the worker, and she understood and made me another drink. Definitely had a nice experience and I'll be coming back for an iced matcha and croissant! read more

Can't believe they been around for 3 yrs alrdy! Love a coffee spot where they can help swap the beans for my latte. Originally their latte is a medium- light roast but they happen to have the beans used for cold brew which is dark roast to make my latte and it tasted very delish! read more

Service was terrible. I always order online and today they had a problem with someone else picking up. Ridiculous if you have the receipt to show for pick up and won't give them the coffee! read more

Under Pressure Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Whitestone, New York

I moved to the neighborhood about a year ago. Under Pressure is such a great neighborhood staple. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but go in there once in awhile (I'm always at the Post Office across the street, so it's an easy stop!). Everything here is fresh and high quality! My favorite drink I've had there is the Matcha Chai. Something you don't see everywhere, but it's well balanced and not too sweet. I've tried some of their lattes as well, and everything is delicious-always high quality, well balanced and never too much sugar. I've purchased pastries in store and through TGTG; Everything I've had is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend their koulouris, spinach pie, and muffins. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality and staff are always friendly. It's been quiet whenever I'm there (regardless of the day/hour), but I highly recommend supporting this local gem!! Definitely one of my favorites. read more

Ordered two drinks: iced latte and 2 shot espresso on ice. Latte came in a regular cold cup, and I expected my espresso to come in the same cup. Maybe I'm just being a little baby lol. Coffe was honestly no bad but not great either. Service is a hit or miss some heat servers but sometimes ehhhh. The vide is okay here but not a place I'll return all the time. read more

I came close to closing time, so didn't stay, and did takeout instead. (Their hours posted on Yelp said they closed at 8pm but they really close at 4pm). I got a huge array of pastries; some American and some Greek. They were ALL fantastic! So fresh and still warm when I got home! Portion sizes were rather large, and everything was delicious. Customer service was so friendly and welcoming...even at closing time! Kudos to the young lady who helped me. This coffee shop was smallish but so clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely come to this cozy coffee shop again! read more

This is a nice expresso bar with pastries and assorted phyllo treats hidden in the Whitestone village. I had a Koulouri - the ring filled with tomatoes and olives. Delicious!! Savory! The bougasta creama - custard cream filled phyllo pastry was crispy and tasty too! (Can't wait to go back to try the Spinach phyllo treat!) My friend tried the croissants and they were buttery and flaky! )I did not expect multi grain to taste so good!). Gotta have a coffee to enjoy it all! Worth a trip to the village! Check out the hours before going. They seem to run out of certain items it the afternoon, closer to closing? read more

We happened to be in the area for errands and stopped by for a caffeine boost. We were pleasantly surprised coz it only had a few reviews on Yelp. The person who worked the cashier was nice and was very accommodating with explaining the drinks to us. Got a few items and they were all great. Koulouri with tomato and olive filling 4.5 stars - First time trying this pastry. Thought was a version of Simit. It had a flakey filo like pastry shell and a tomato&olive paste inside. It was served warm which made it a comforting breakfast treat on a cold day. It reminded me of a Burek too. It was great as is but a thinner, lighter filo could make it even better. Greek Frappe (in photo) 5 stars - Tried this before in a different country but haven't seen this served in NYC. It was good with a foamy top, bitter with great strong coffee flavor. Got it with oat milk. Iced Latte 4 stars - Got this with oat milk too. Creamy, smooth but would prefer if it had a stonger coffee flavor. Then again, it is a latte, so it is milky on purpose. Overall, great place to get coffee and pastries. Will be back when in the area. read more

Come here for amazing and authentic crispy phyllo pastries! The inside of this small cafe is bright, clean and modern, it still feels spacious. My favorite thing to get is the tomato and olive Koulouri! It seems like a popular favorite since the last two times I came, they were all out. One thing I I love about this place is that they have a good amount of savory options. I also love their mini cream pies and I like that they aren't too sweet. They also have common pastries available like croissants and muffins. It's a pretty quiet, cozy place for a study spot or to catch up with friends. The people working behind the counter are always friendly as well! read more

i have nothing bad to say about their coffee or ambiance but about how i was being treated just now today by the staff there. So i happened to be around the neighborhood, my husband and I brought bagels at the same block, we dont like coffee at the bagel shop and went to Under Pressure Espresso Bar brought a cup of cold brew to eat with our bagels, we happened to drink the coffee and eat our bagels at the outside chairs in front of Bar. At the time, there is no customer inside shop or at outside seatings. Later on, I was approached by the staff telling us to leave because we are comsuming bagels not from their shop, i was in shock. I am a paying customer and still havent finishing drinking their store brought coffee. I think they went way overboard. I will understanding to be kicked out of store if i am cosuming coffee and eating bagel inside the Bar, but we are outside, its just two outside small table seatings. I am not even sure if they are allow to having outside seatings on a public street and i am being told to go away, while i am eating on a pubic street. Its definitely not right and not the right way to do business!!! its ruined my beautiful morning! For their coffee, its just okay, nothing special. read more

The coffee wasn't bad, but it was definitely not my favorite. It was a bit too bitter for my taste. I also bought a bag of their coffee beans, which were slightly sour. so far I really like this place and will definitely be getting it consistently! They have soy, almond, oat and regular milk! I haven't been inside myself but my sister hasn't said anything bad about the customer service. The spanakopita and cheese pie were so good! My sister said they also have vegan options, i wish they had gluten free too! I've had the chai matcha, it was alittle too bitter for my taste but the flavor was yummy. I tried from my sister their frappe with oat milk, sooooo good! Today I had my mom get me a macchiato with almond milk and no sugar. It wasn't bitter without the sugar, I like the flavor and strength of their coffee a lot but it was more like a latte than a macchiato. I don't like my coffee with so much milk and it didn't have the layers of a macchiato. But overall yummy, good coffee, and good variety read more
