Worst 7 eleven ive ever been to. They are running a predatory operation. They will boot or barnacle your car regardless if you show a receipt. I parked, saw a homeless guy asking for money at the corner where the amazon lockers are. I go to speak the man and give him change. Next thing you know, I turn around and there was a huge suction cup on my windshield. The lady said, I didnt go directly into the store and purchase anything. So im not a customer and I dont get free parking. I told her I was speaking to the homeless man at the corner and was going into the 7 Eleven after. She said "sure, thats what everyone says". Make it make sense... I park, speak to a man for 1 min and I have to pay 100 bucks to get my car back. After seeing other people's review this seems to be a very shady business. I also spoke with few friends who go to school in that area and they've only told me bad things about this store. I would never ever come back here. read more

The price is outrageous! $4for a trial-size pack of Oreos with just 8 cookies? That's price-gouging at its finest. I get that it's City Ave, but your store is hands down the most expensive convenience store on the strip. Even Rite Aid and CVS--both known for their markups--sell candy for less. I understand making money is the goal, but how far are you willing to push it before customers stop buying altogether? At what point does "convenience" become outright exploitation? read more

THIS LOCATION IS HORRIBLE. DONT GO HER. The employees especially the short woman with her head covered are rude and argumentative. I bought a bag of chips and then went around to corner to pick something up from another store. After I came back to my car, there was a janky "warning" taped on the window about "parking is only for customers". I went inside to show them my purchase and they started yelling at me. I asked for a refund since they don't know how to treat customers and she threatened to call the cops. DONT GO HERE!!? read more

I parked here for 10 minutes to help a friend who was in a car accident directly next to this location on City Ave. The road was blocked so there was nowhere else to park. When I returned to my car, there was a window barnacle on it. I explained the situation to the parking enforcement officer, who proceeded to tell me a car accident isn't a good enough reason to park there. It costed $100 + fees to take it off. Although I was upset about paying $100, I was more upset that this delayed my ability to meet my friend at the hospital. My guess is if the person in the car accident was someone they cared about, they might feel differently. It is unfortunate that the clerk and parking enforcement officer don't have any sympathy, nor are aware of emergencies happening around them. read more

I am a senior citizen, handicapped, with a disability permit, window placard properly displayed in my cars front window, and a handicap emblem visibly displayed on my license plates. I parked in the "parking space reserved for "Handicap recipients covered by The US Americans with Disability's Act. I got out of my car and went to a building two doors away picked up my order and was back in my car within five minutes total. Once seated in my car a woman perhaps 5ft 5in, walked towards my car waving her hand speaking with a deep accent saying - if I park in the handicap space again without making a purchase in 7-Eleven, she would have my car towed! She appeared anger, continuously pointed to a sign displayed on the exterior of the store that says "parking is for 7 -Eleven store customers only." But the sign that she apparently had printed for her own convenience failed to say is that Pennsylvania state law says the ADA is enforced by the Department of Justice. That said - people or businesses that doesn't comply with the requirements for handicap parking spots, can result in fines up to $150,000. (in part). I say that to say don't believe the Fake news sign that says - you cannot park in the handicap space unless you are making a purchase in 7-Eleven. It's a blatant Lie! If you have a handicap placard, tags or permit and your handicapped signs are properly displayed in clear view, and your signs are current you in fact Can park in that one single handicap space, and you do Not have to make a purchase from the rude women with the scarf wrapped around her head. If you're on or near the SJU campus and looking for a cold beverage or super-quick snack and don't want to pay restaurant or food-hall prices, then this place is pretty convenient and relatively nearby. However, it is a fairly sad excuse for a convenience store. The inside is dingy and dark, and their array of hot food items is extremely small, mostly limited to very questionable looking sausages that seem to spend the whole day (at least) lingering and spinning around in their display case. In general, the place is tiny and doesn't stock that many products. I avoid coming here as much as I can. It's just too depressing. read more

I don't know where to begin. I've never written a one star review before. I really hope that the students at SJU have somewhere else to go as they may be a captive audience. I'm a mother of college girls and I know that they use up their dining credits and must resort to places like this for food. I remember when I had to creep on Twitter during my daughter's junior year abroad because her iPhone was stolen and she couldn't text. She somehow chose to go to Denmark which is expensive when she was low on funds. I thanked The Lord that they had 7-11's because she had to buy food there and it was nutrition and tasty. I'm not down on 7-11's in general even though I'm Philadelphian and of course that means allegiance to Wawa and their wonderful coffee. The coffee at this 7-11...they must pour the old stuff out of one pot into the new one to save every remnant. I never had such awful burnt tasting coffee. The hot "food" on display at the checkout counter is questionable to say the least. It certainly looks well aged. The woman at the checkout is usually on her cell phone and is rather surly when she bothers to speak to a customer. I only know Romance languages and German. She is speaking something else and I get a feeling that not so nice comments are being made about me by the inflection. On the door it says that they accept credit cards. I went in three weeks ago and she snapped at me that I couldn't charge more than $30.00. I had to put something back. So, when I got really brave and went back today, I made sure that I bought less than $30.00 worth of purchases. I was immediately yelled at again because now she says the credit card limit is $25.00 and I had spent $26.98. I tried to reason with her for naught. I must say that I realized that the effort was doomed from the start and I didn't try very hard. The worst was that I had my wallet open and she looked at all my cards and actually pointed at my debit card and told me that I must use it if I come back in. I left feeling rather abused. read more
