One right off Main Street in Beech Grove and one in Southport off Madison. I went to the Beech Grove location. I've passed by it multiple times and had a few extra minutes one day to pop in and try their coffee. There is parking right out front and also street parking on the side of the building as well. I was greeted right away when I walked in and told her it was my first time. She said they make their caramel sauce in house and recommened I try a salted caramel latte. I took her advice and it was delicious! The caramel had a different flavor than your regular coffee shops who use the syrups from the pump bottles. It was rich and had a buttery goodness flavor. I would recommend trying it if you aren't sure what to get! I'll definitely be back!

Anecdote coffee was within walking distance. It was just what we wanted. The shop is on Main Street. We were greeted immediately by a very personable and friendly couple. They were the owners. You order at the front counter where a display of bakery goods catch your attention. They had a whoopi pie made out of oatmeal cookies and marshmallow cream. I had to pass, but I am. Still thinking how good it looked We got a blueberry muffin and coffee They asked if we wanted to stay or go. We were staying and she said we had to have mug so we could sit and enjoy. They heated the muffin. It was fresh and good. Plenty of Berries and crumb topping. Although we sat in the front I noticed there were several comfortable conversation areas. It was just the respite we needed. As we left they wished us luck showing our dog. Nice touch Will we go back? You betcha.

Everything down to the finest details about our lunch was so wonderful, that it's hard to narrow down for brevity. The setting, the decor, the exceptional service, the food and the tea and their presentation...perfect. So lovely. A few of us have food allergies, and they were easily accommodated for. They have a nice selection of gluten free options, and what we sampled was delicious. The girls were all so tickled with their Princess Tea lunch. They received crowns, and we couldn't help but notice that each girl received a color that matched their outfit. Having a selection of finger sandwiches and little sweet treats thrilled them just as much as having pots of tea to sample from their pretty little teacups. Even the smallest details were tended to. We enjoyed it so much, we quickly agreed to making this a regular girl date spot.

I'm excited to have another coffee shop in the neighborhood (it's the third on that corner), but hey, you can never have too much coffee. It's a small footprint with A LOT of options! They have coffees, smoothies, shakes, etc. They have a few snacky options as well for food. I opted for an iced zero sugar added vanilla protein latte since I was hoping to find my "regular" order. I struggle getting enough protein in the morning since I just want coffee until I am awake enough to be a person, so why not combine the two? It will probably not be my regular order BUT I am looking forward to trying more things in the menu, and I love how many zero sugar options they have. I picked up a Carmel Pumpkin Brûlée latte for my brother as well, which he enjoyed. The staff were all super friendly and excited to be open. I loved the app as well! It has cooler features than some of the more mainstream options, like auto tipping and a lot of flair. I'm excited to have a new option in the neighborhood and will be back!

Twinkle lights, a neon sign with the phrase "stay wild," plants everywhere and I mean everywhere! Little things that I noticed and loved included a table with a community puzzle and some board/card games, very cool artwork on the walls, and hints of Halloween (skeletons and skulls), my favorite. The community feeling was also very obvious. Everyone was friendly, there were so many cute dogs and people waving and saying hi to each other as they came and went. I loved it. Now, on to the coffee... I was going to be staying put for a while before jumping on the road for a three hour drive so I ended up getting two of their seasonal drinks and a pastry. I always go for the seasonal options and they had several good ones to try. I started with the "peelin' so good," a banana and caramel latte with strawberry drizzle. I opted to get it with oat milk. Oh my goodness, it was so good. You might question banana in a latte, but I've been seeing them pop up everywhere and it was delicious. I also got a babka pastry, which I had never heard of before. It's pretty much a braided roll mixed with a sticky bun. It had cinnamon in it and a syrup over it. I snacked on that while I was there and finished it in my car. Super tasty! Before I left I got the "beez nutz" latte because I knew I would need help staying awake while driving for three hours. It was a honey latte with a peanut butter cold foam. Also delicious. I sipped down every drop. This shop is the perfect mix of dark whimsy, community, and coffee. A special place indeed. Give them a visit!

Cynthia helped me and after I told her it was my first visit, she shared a little about the business. They roast their own coffee beans on Mondays and Tuesdays, which is why they're only open Wednesday through Sunday. There is parking on both sides of the building, but there aren't many spaces. Thankfully, there's also free street parking nearby. Inside, they have an ample amount of seating if you want to enjoy your drink there, along with two restrooms. The space has a clean, neutral vibe with live plants that makes it a relaxing place to hang out. I love the plants, makes for a refreshing energy. I ordered a latte with oat milk and vanilla bean syrup. Cynthia mentioned that all of their syrups are made in house, which made the drink feel even more special. My latte was served in the cutest cup with beautiful latte art, it was definitely picture worthy! It tasted amazing, exactly what I was shooting for. My drink was $7.08 before tip, which isn't bad for the quality. If you're looking for a quality latte, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere, I'd recommend stopping by.

The barista recommended getting the syrups halved instead of each one being the full amount unless I wanted the drink to be extra sweet. I went with that suggestion and was glad I did, thankful that she gave me her opinion. It had a nice balance of flavor without being overwhelmingly sweet. I also appreciate that they offer nondairy milk options. I chose almond milk but kept the whipped cream that comes with the drink. My coffee was really good, and it didn't take long to be ready. The shop has a relaxed atmosphere with the smell of coffee in the air. There are tables where you can work, along with a more comfortable seating area for spending time with friends or enjoying a coffee by yourself. I say this because if you arrive a few minutes early the store doesn't receive your order until closer to the scheduled order pickup time. The back area with most of the booths had too many people in it at all times, which stressed us out. I felt like couldn't really look at everything and often had to wait awkwardly to the side until other people finally moved out of the way. I ended up getting a new permanent bracelet after one of mine broke a couple weeks ago. I hadn't looked at the vendor lineup before coming, but had hoped there would be a permanent jewelry booth there and was very happy to see Golden Era. The owner was so nice and told me that Milk & Honey often lets her come by for events, so that's nice to know when going back to get coffee again. We also got a couple of gorgeous floral shortbread cookies from a vendor and had them as a nice little treat the next day. Despite how busy/packed it was, it was still very fun to have the event to browse while sipping on a coffee. I also loved the booth diversity- a fresh flower booth to make bouquets, cookies, permanent jewelry, antiques, vintage jewelry, a few clothing booths, custom press on nails, candles, a mini bookstore outside, and a pet bandana shop outside as well. For coffee, I ordered The Eddie (sea salt caramel macchiato) and my husband ordered The Milk & Homey (cinnamon + honey). The Eddie was definitely sweeter than The Milk & Honey, but both were very tasty! They had a super cute "whimsy bar" set up at the pickup side of the counter to bedazzle your coffee. This was my first time there, so I'm not sure if this was just for the event or not. We also each ordered a turkey caprese sandwich with a side of kettle chips, but they were a little disappointing. They were supposed to be on sourdough, but came out on white bread instead that kept sticking to our teeth and made the sandwich mush together when biting into it. Would love to come back and try a different sandwich or maybe a baked good next time instead.
