We also ordered fried okra, which arrived before the sandwich. It was piping hot, crispy, and cooked exactly the way fried okra should be. We happily munched on it while waiting for the main event. Natasha provided friendly, attentive service and brought us an extra plate so we could easily divide the sandwich and fries. Those small touches make a difference. The Route 66 décor and classic diner atmosphere added plenty of character. It felt like the perfect place for our final road-trip meal before heading home.
