When I back in western Oklahoma visiting my family there is only one place I want to go for dinner. Simon's catch. Bro. It's so good! I always get the all-you-can-eat cath fish and you know what! They give you such big pieces of fish that I usually only get two deep. Sometimes I go for that third, but don't you worry. They aren't skimping on fish size. I am a big fan of coleslaw and they're is definitely in my top 3 favorite. Did I mention the hush puppies!? Shame on me. When I was younger they were stick hush puppies, now they're balls. And you know what. They're still amazing! They also have souvenir cups now! They may have had this for awhile, but I haven't been in awhile. A nice memento to remember my delicious meal. Man this is a hidden gem in western Oklahoma. It's simple, quaint, and delicious. Seriously if you're looking for great all you can eat catfish and some of the best hush puppies you can find, why wouldn't you start in the boondocks of Oklahoma. We really wanted to like this place. When they first brought out the hush puppies and slaw, we were excited because these were hush puppies that my husbands father served at his restaurant, The Der Dutchman, years ago in Oklahoma City. We both ordered fish and they brought out three small pieces for both of us after waiting probably 15 minutes are getting our sides. Then there was little to no meat in them. Only batter. They made another batch (2 pieces) which wasn't much better. The people behind us complained about it. They were accompanied by spicy chunked green tomato pickles that were over the top good. We even bought a jar. I had the 8 oz hand cut fillet which had an excellent flavor grill seared on the outside and medium rare on the inside. Baked potato, roll, and salad too. Excellent service, very attentive, got seated quickly. Be aware this place seems like it's out in the middle of nowhere for those of us that aren't local. Well worth the drive. My wife and I stopped by this gem while we were passing through Oklahoma. I had the ribeye and it was phenomenal! She ordered the catfish and ate like two plates, which is very uncommon for her to do even on holidays. It was fairly inexpensive as far as quality food at a sit down establishment goes. The same meal in California would easily cost a hundred dollars and probably be nowhere near as good. You can tell the people at Simon's love what they do, and they do it great. The staff was nice; although, I will say be prepared for some intense looks from the locals if you're covered in tattoos. We got seated in the middle of the restaurant and all the staring made it a little hard to enjoy my food-- but that's not the restaurant's fault. If you're clearly from out of town, just ask for a table in the corner with your backs to the wall. read more

Wow! I found this place by browsing Yelp for the Elk City area. It was a little off the beaten path. When we pulled into the driveway we knew we made the right decision!! The parking lot was full! We were seated and waited on right away. Taylor was a wonderful server who was attentive snd sweet even though she was busy with another very large party. The menu isn't extensive which I like because it is much easier to make a decision. They specialize in all you can eat catfish. They also have shrimp and steaks. We ordered shrimp for an appetizer and the "all you can"eat catfish family meal. So so good!! Best catfish we have eaten in a very long time. We ended up getting two plates of fish. I really enjoyed the green tomato relish and bought a jar to take home. My husband loved the coleslaw. Very country style atmosphere. One of the best places I've eaten at. We had the all you can eat fried catfish served family style. It's hard to find catfish properly cleaned but these folks do it right! Lots of sides.. beans, homemade fries, hush puppies, great coleslaw and outstanding small pickled tomatoes.
