My husband and I were staying in this lovely town for the night and googled restaurants and chose to eat here and try their "all you can eat" catfish. Boy, are we glad we did. The catfish was hot and fresh. Destanie was our server and what a pleasant experience she gave us! She had us try different dips for our catfish and one we named " Destanie's dipping sauce. So I moved here and all I kept hearing was they Simons Catch! You will love it! It's expensive, but so worth it! Best seafood around! Well I finally did. For one thing, catfish is not seafood. It is usually freshwater and I don't like it. The only other option is shrimp. Large good shrimp,but way over priced. This is their whole menu. Oh and I do believe a steak. Cute place, very out of the way. We were looking for someplace open in Elk City on a Sunday night as we drove route 66. The decor was very plain, I would describe it as low budget lodge style. It was very clean, the service was good and friendly. My wife and I split a 16 ounce steak which was cooked perfectly, and delicious! The french fries and hush puppies were not great. They tasted like reheated frozen bulk items. The coleslaw was delicious, but also tasted like it was a ready-made bulk item. They started vacuuming the floors 45 minutes before closing time, while we were still eating our meal! The menu is quite simple - catfish, shrimp & various beef cuts. The ambiance is hunting and fishing. Get there early as it fills up quickly with local folks. My boyfriend and I went to try this resturant that is definatly in the "middle of nowhere" bit if you stop and ask any local they will point you to the right direction with a smile :) We got the All you can eat Catfish and it was all and more what we were expecting. I enjoyed my experience at Simon's Catch. The place it's self is quite nice. Probably a little hard to find if you are not from the area. Luckily we had a local with us, so he took us there on our last night in Oklahoma. First off we showed up about 15 minutes before they closed and still took us in without any grumbling. The menu is quite simple they only have catfish, shrimp, steaks, and sides. I don't like fish so I got the shrimp which were very good paired with the horseradish cocktail sauce that comes with the order. What really stood out to me were the fries and hush puppies they were quite good. I don't see myself in that area ever again, but I'm glad we ate there. This restaurant and all of the employees were fantastic!!! We were driving from Colorado to Arkansas, on a Sunday, and stopped here 40 minutes before they closed. Not only were they super friendly but they went out of their way to accommodate our 9 year old grandson's dietary needs!!! The food was extremely delicious, fresh and HOT!! It is very rare that you can get fresh, hot fried catfish at an establishment so close to closing. The steaks that were ordered were cooked PERFECTLY!!! We ate the all-you-can-eat catfish. It was good and hot, tasted pretty fresh. Not as much seasoning as I usually like but they had Louisiana hot sauce upon request. After I ordered a family sat down next to us and ordered steaks. After seeing their steaks and seeing some of the awards in the front of the restaurant, I decided next time I was in I needed one of those steaks to try. Holy steak my wife and I went out for a date night and this was our first time eating at this fine establishment. She had the rib eye which was cooked to perfection and was a very tasty. But as soon as I cut into my fillet I have never had a steak so well prepared and so tasty. I took a bight and automatically I was in heaven, I had to give my wife a piece and she automatically fell in love as well, she said "it's like eating mashed potatoes". Simon's Catch is THE place to eat if you want to feel really special. I recently took a neighbor friend there for his 90th birthday. Not only did they recognize him with a dessert, topped with a birthday candle, but they gathered round and sang Happy Birthday which encouraged others in the restaurant to join in. Add to that the fact that the food, especially the catfish, was delicious, served family style with brown beans, hush puppies and cole slaw. This restaurant is in the middle of nowhere, literally. If it wasn't for the fact that I used to live in the area it's located in I wouldn't have found it again, but it was worth the two hour drive. Simon's has the BEST catfish in the state of Oklahoma and I don't say that lightly. My family noodles. You actually eat catfish and not just breading like most places. It is also very fresh. Out of the ten or more times I have eaten there I haven't had one piece that tasted fishy. They also have steaks and other things on the menu but I always go for the catfish. When you get the all you can eat catfish it comes with hush puppies, coleslaw, green tomatoes, pickles, baked beans, and french fries. (The french fries are baked.) It is so much food. I think that the three of us that went ate 14 pieces of fish before it was all said and done. Sometimes I feel like they are going to have to wheel me out. The service is great and I may be mistaken but I think it is family owned. If you have some time you should definitely go and try it. For $10.99 you can have one of the best meals of your life. I have eaten here at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed. I have only had the catfish. This fat boy can't pass up the all you can eat catfish. It is always fresh and consistent. The home fries are great as well as the cole slaw and hush puppies. I live about 100 miles away, so I don't get to come very often. I highly recommend this place if you like fried catfish! read more

Simon's Catch is located on a wooded lot with a little lake and looks like a charming wooden cabin. The food is all fresh; truly home made.and delicious.The "all you can eat catfish" dinner is especially delicious, and the service was excellent. I love Simon's Catch! Although slightly off the beaten path, you are missing a wonderful Oklahoma institution if you pass up on the opportunity to enjoy it. Living in Texas, I rarely get up that way, but trust that I never hit Elk City without making the short (and pretty) drive south to eat. The food and service are reliably fantastic. I enjoy the thick cut ribeye steak seared to perfection. Though I've sampled most of the menu and haven't gone wrong yet. I love Simon's Catch catfish, but it's outrageously expensive if you want to get any different sides than those that come with the meal. I wanted salad instead of all of the sides that come with it. Fries are so fattening! It was something like an extra $4 for the salad. For the two of us to eat it was more than $40.00. I don't know that I will ever eat there again at that price. I don't usually want but 1 or 2 hush puppies and none of the other sides. I would rather have a small side salad to go with my fish. Excellent food if you can afford it though! Since we live here in Elk we may go once or twice a year. read more

We saw this advertised on our way from Tx to Missouri. Once we found it out way in the country, it was worth the search. We had the all you can eat catfish and it was great. The steaks that others ordered looked great also. Log cabin look very cool. There's a separate big room that had a b-day party group.prices reasonable.
