Great service and beer. The Fire Chicken was no joke, spicy and delicious. The crawfish chowder and artichoke dip were amazing. The salads were fresh and generous. The pickle chips were a little batter heavy but tasty. The chicken fried steak was the weak link, mostly batter that did not adhere well to the steak.

I just love this place! Food is always good and I always try something new. I got the 602 burger this time with jalapeños added. I live that their meet is local and gives back! Def fresh made patty. Buns is good too! Mash potatoes could use some work on texture, but last time the fries were good! Service really need some work this time! We were definitely an inconvenience.

Stopped in for one beer after a really muddy and wet hike. Stayed for several beers, a delicious meal and great conversation. Really loved this place and will be back. I recommend the Twisted Nun ale and a portobello burger.

Good day folks! Most brewery's serve bar food. But!!! How bout a full scratch kitchen menu to go with your amazing beer sound!! And that is what we walked into! Our server was spot on with some recommendations and went beyond service with some out of the norm requests we had . The place is broken down to bar and restaurant - with beautiful artwork on the walls - and an outside patio with a live band on the weekends. Def a must place to eat whenever you are visiting Bastrop! Let Love Lead!

My wife and I were tasked with finding a location to hold a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner for our son. We had looked at ~5 different venues in the Bastrop area and we clearly decided on 602 Brewing; oddly, another venue is the one that recommended 602. We met with Yvonne and walked through a few things - it was relatively simple and comforting. We had right at 50 people show up on a Friday night for this dinner and Raymond's team was beyond prepared! The back room was staged accordingly, any special requests we had were there ready to go. Food began flowing and the service was outstanding. I must add that Natalie was in charge of helping that night, she had a team of two other people. THEY WERE FANTASTIC! Drinks were being run back and forth, it was a wonderful experience. Raymond (owner) presented my son and his wife a book of wisdom from one of his favorite Lebanese authors, who doesn't need a start like that? A few pictures are attached of that night, judging by the smiles, I'm confident in telling you this is the place you want to book for your event...

The food is generally good. The crawfish chowder is great. The service is good. I was let down by the sausage platter appetizer, the sausages were warm at best. I wouldn't order them again. The crawfish and crab Mac cheese sounded delicious, but was mediocre. The mussels weren't your typical light white wine taste... this was more like soaked in sausage juice. Definitely a no! Beer is always good. Hopefully the food will be better next time.

Have had them on the radar for a minute and with the GD in tow we hit the back roads from Manor. Arrived shortly after they opened and were promptly seated. Love the look of the place with ample seating and a huge bar as well. We started with a pretzel that came with mustard and a beer cheese...and it was fantastic...only down side it took 25 minutes to come out...baked to order??...if so this should be stated on the menu as that matches the amount of time to get..All the meals came with a starter of soup or salad....I opted for the chowder which was amazing...the GD loved it as well...Wife went with the chicken and rice...good but the rice was obliterated and very Over cooked. The GD opted for the salad....low and behold she tried raw cucumber for the first time and fell in love. Main dishes were a hit as well, with the GD hitting the 602 Alfredo with chicken...cheesy and delicious....Wife went with the Chicken fried steak...and should have opted for the gravy on the side (her bad)...Keep the crispy crisp...steak was tender, breading good...she wasnt a huge fan of the green chile gravy...but thats personal choice....The cheddar mash was just Cheddar shreds on top of mashers...I went with the 602 Shrimp and grits...and although I felt it was on the smaller side its was an Amazing eating experience...Perfectly cooked shrimp, sausage should be thicker but very tasty...the one thing in this dish that drew me to it...Sambal Chili Garlic Butter....again with the main dishes...they took a bite longer to come out then expected but a solid visit over all.

I have no had the opportunity to eat or drink here so I will update after that and review in the middle as of now... This am I attending the prestigious BNI business networking international local community meeting with my other fellow professionals... the 602 hosts and was clean, I noticed they have a music stage for live performances. I noticed they sell and display local art on the walls. I would like to come by and try the food and service! Seems like a very relaxed and hip establishment.

Went to 602 for the first time with a group of ladies from the neighborhood. They accommodated our group comfortably inside where it was nice and cool. We were among the first to arrive at opening and had a reservation. Orders were taken and food was served in good time. The menu has a good amount of variety. The pretzel was fabulous along with the Greek Salad topped with grilled shrimp. We were able to visit and enjoy our meals without being rushed. They allowed individual checks, although it took a while to closeout since our server was covering several tables along with our group. I plan to return and check out their dinner options.

Food was great with a large selection and the drinks were tasty. Our server was very nice and friendly. We've lived in Bastrop for 3 years and finally checked it out for a date night; we'll be back for sure! And the great thing is, everything was reasonably priced!

Stopped at the 602 on my way home from Marble Falls and ordered a few things to go. I am so pleased that I did!! I ordered the Reuben rolls, tempura shrimp and Ray's crawfish chowder. They were all delicious!! If you are in Bastrop, stop here and try them!! The staff was wonderfully pleasant, especially Liz who took my order and told me about events that the 602 put on like Thursday night paint and sip nights and live music! I will plan a trip back here to enjoy their events.

Great food, beer and atmosphere. Would prefer to see a larger selection of beers, but the 3 I tried were all great. The chicken salad I shared was amazing.

When we entered we were told to sit anywhere by what appeared to be another patron eating with 3 other people. After finding a clean table on the third try, we still waited 15 minutes till getting menus. After ordering 2 flights it was dropped off unmarked, and unexplained. I had to approach the bar to ask in what order they were poured. To properly log them in untapped. The interior is pretty typical for the downtown vibe in most Texas small towns. Once we had our waitress service was good. We only ordered fried pickles and they were excellent. The beers were great as well. We are beer reviewers and we rated all their own brews in the 3.4-4 star range which is good. The experimental, if I had to guess was a lime fruit. My suggestion is to work on initial interaction when you have customers come in. We spent our first 15 minutes feeling confused and not knowing what was going on. We likely would have spent more money and time here if there was more attention spent in that initial interaction.

There were plenty of drink options to choose from, and the menu definitely caught our attention, which is what brought us in. We started with the nachos with beef. The main reason we came was for the chicken wings, and unfortunately, those were a bit disappointing and left us wanting more. However, the owner personally came over to apologize and explained that those were not the wings they normally serve. He even comped us $10 in cash, which was a very appreciated and classy gesture. The staff was friendly throughout our visit, and because of how the situation was handled, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and plan to come back again to let them redeem themselves.

Founded in 1997 by Chip McElroy, Live Oak was built with a simple idea "make beer for people who actually like the taste of beer." In 2015, Live Oak moved to their current location on a beautiful property along the Colorado River, opening a taproom and biergarten. One its unique features...it's off the beaten path of other breweries. Live Oak Brewing is north of the airport and backs to the Fast Park remote airport parking lot. At first glance it looks like it's a convergence of a fire station and deserted manufacturing plant. The grounds are impeccable...tall statuesque trees, lush green vegetation and an extensive outside biergarten. It feels like you are in a nature bubble. Interestingly, Live Oak Brewing has its own on site 18 hole disc golf course (different from traditional golf) located directly on the brewery's property. Live Oak Brewing's interior has the feel of a German Hofbräu...homey, spacious, and welcoming, with long communal tables that encourage conversation and human interaction. You can see directly into the brewing space, with large tanks and equipment. Also, board games are available if you choose to play. Live Oak is family friendly and dog friendly. In fact, Groot, the owner's dog, freely roams through the brewery drinking area. While I only had sips of beer (not a big beer drinker), my friends enjoyed their beers. Live Oak Brewery Company is a super fun place to hang out.

It was hot out and stores were staring to close, so we came here for some drinks and food to escape the heat. Of the several times that we've been to Round Top, we had never been to Round Top Brewing and were pleasantly surprised...by everything. The spot is cute and cozy--nothing fancy and plenty of charm that isn't too forced. We ordered food and drinks at the bar and then sat in their indoor patio area (no A/C but tolerable circulation with the fans). They make their own beer, and we both enjoyed the kolsch that we stuck with for the evening. As far as food, we shared a giant pretzel and our daughter got a plain pizza. The pizza is that cardboardesque version, but it was edible. The pretzel was decent, but definitely a frozen-to-oven situation. What we *do* want to shout out is the mustard it came with. It was SO good. We asked if it was homemade, and it allegedly was: so spicy and nasal-clearing and tasty. The mustard alone is what is pushing up from 3 stars to four! Bottom line: nothing crazy special, but a good place with friendly folks working and decent food and drink. Prices are consistent with the area, and it's certainly better than Mandito's and it beats the chaos of Royer's. We won't be back, but we're glad we tried it.
