One of the best pizza restaurants around. I've been to Slapbox a number of times and it never disappoints. The menu is basically the same as 600 degrees in Georgetown. HUGE slices! Lots of variety and interesting toppings. AND this is a pizza restaurant but do not overlook the wings. They are sooo good. I love the dry rub ranch and recently tried the bourbon glaze which was super tasty. They have a great variety of beers on tap and attentive service. Also, a great place for take away. We LOVE pizza! This place was previously Soapbox Pizza, and they changed the name. We have been coming here for years. One thing that we noticed since the name change is that the pies are not as big as before. We were here as a family a few months ago, and my husband swore the pizza pies were bigger. It didn't matter to me because they were still delicious. Nice chewy crust and plenty of toppings. With the name change, there may be some changes to the menu. 600 Degrees is a go-to for Mommy and Son dinner dates. We went the other night for dinner. We both got a slice of pepperoni. I love that they serve the slices with pickles. Such an interesting combo, but it's good. I ordered a Caesar salad as well. Also, don't forget the ranch to dip the crust in. Our server was nice, and the food came out quickly. There are plenty of TVs to catch a game or catch up on sports. They always have a good variety of tap for beer as well. I've always thought this was a cool little place in Downtown Round Rock. It's kid-friendly, which is always a win in my book. It's located next to the plaza. My friend ordered five pizzas for us to try and enjoy while enjoying entertainment at her home. The pizzas were ordered and delivered from Slap Box Pizzicheria. She ordered the traditional cheese, sunset (pepperoni and mushrooms), Pirate (meat), Royale with cheese (cheeseburger) and Baker's choice. When the pizza arrived we were ooohhing and aahhhiing the selections. The Baker's choice pizza was interesting. We called it a fiesta pizza since it had a lot of corn, jalapeños, bacon, tomatoes and cheese. She ordered the Royale with cheese without onions. Oopsy...it had onions on it. I don't mind onions so I took a bite of it and it was really good. It definitely tasted like a cheeseburger. There were only two slices left of it. The Pirate was good. First off, the pepperonis on these pizzas were huge? Love it. Be sure to get a knife since the slices aren't cut through all the way. The traditional cheese may look ordinary, but it had really good flavor. The Sunset was delicious. They must make their own marinara as I had a bay leaf in my pizza. Homemade is good. The only thing I wish was the pizza crust was baked more or dusted with flavor. That's just my preference, but it didn't take away from the taste of the pizza itself. Went for a Birthday party last night 2/5/19. The place is very well decorated and was clean as a whistle. Our group ordered many different things and everyone raved about their choices. I called for a delivery and the guy took our order. After taking my order he gave me a time of 45 minutes and said "I'll see you when you get here". I replied back that this is for delivery. He said "oh we don't deliver". My thought was why waste my damn time taking my order? I went through uber. I ordered a build your own pie with meatballs, onions, shrooms, canadian bacon, pepperoncini's. It was delivered in a timely manner. We liked the pie but felt it could've used more sauce. We were really excited to try this place and were hoping for a great experience, but overall it seemed like a lot of hype that just didn't meet expectations. We had a $50 order that consisted of 4 items and the only 5-star wow-factor was.....the marinara sauce and blue cheese dressing. Yeah, the blue cheese was really good, but it was the only think that really impressed us. Everything else was unfortunately inconsistent across the board. . Here's the lowdown: - After a run through the menu with the very friendly bartender (who said everything is awesome) we opted for a pizza (half Tokyo Joe's & Mama Gallo), bourbon wings, Thai chili wings, and garlic knots. A pretty solid selection. - The garlic knots were okay because the dough was slightly stale and did not taste fresh. Maybe if we ordered earlier in the day we'd have a better result? But the marinara dipping sauce was the highlight here, was really flavorful. But there's no excuse for a place like this to serve slightly stale / aged bread - that's a quality control thing. - Both wings were solid - kind of hard to mess these up, but I didn't get much of the bourbon taste from those wings. The highlight was the blue cheese dressing - omg it's really good, not too strong or pungent. The ranch was ok - somewhat mild and bland, a slight sour cream taste that lacked the "ranch-kick". I think both dressings use the same base but the blue cheese gets the prize! It was the best wow-factor of the entire order. - Tokyo Joe's pizza was pretty good, loved the veggies but the teriyaki chicken should be the highlight here and really stand out yet it was very faint and took a backseat to the veggies. If we're paying $22 for a pizza then we expect to get a lot of teriyaki chicken and flavor, it should be bold and shine through, but we barely got any chicken. We added cilantro to it when we got home which kicked it up a notch, but with the lack of chicken we probably won't get this again. Sad because this could be so much better. - Mama Gallo has chicago italian sliced meatball, pepperoni, marinated tomatoes, red onions, fresh minced garlic & herb. It was meaty and robust and tasted solid - although I would have liked more garlic. Plus both pizzas passed on the "leftovers test" - - the next day they were just as good heated up which is kudos in my book! Charging a premium price range of $18-23 per pizza I would expect a premium product and experience, and maybe some "wow-factor", but as you can see we didn't get it. There was a lack of chicken, the blue cheese was really good, wings were solid (10 for $13) which again, is premium, but the sauces were more on the sweet side than savory and robust. There were other pizzas that intrigued us but I can't say we'll be rushing back anytime soon. Service here was very attentive and nice. It wasn't too busy, the bartender is was what we call a "super seller". He passionately plugged everything on the menu and said everything was superb and hyped a lot of it up but in the end the final products just wasn't in alignment with the expectations and premium price point. I mean paying nearly $60 (inc. tip) only to have the blue cheese and marinara sauces be the primary highlights and memorable wow-factors is a bit of a debbie downer, don't ya think? But don't let my review deter you - it wasn't a bad experience. Fresher garlic knots would have made this 3-stars, and improved teriyaki chicken portions would have easily bumped this to a 4-star experience. They were not apologetic at all, and didn't even check in on us once. At that point they should have just given us the pizza for free but they just offered for us to take it to go. I ordered the meatballs and house salad with signature balsamic vinaigrette because everyone else ordered pizza and I knew I'd get bites of each! Started off with tasty meatballs that were good and had a nice red gravy. Then the salads were delivered and that's where it nose dived for me. The salad was not good and the "signature" dressing was for sure just jarred and not homemade. I tried to switch to ranch dressing but that was more of the same. Both my daughter and I did not eat our salads, that was a waste. The gluten free pizza was hot and delicious! The single giant slices tasted a bit sweet and one of our party took three bites and left the rest. All in all, the fresh made items, meatballs and full pies seemed like the best bet. Omg the pizza slices here were like Costco pizza slices on crack. One slice is essentially a medium sized pizza on its own. We've had a variety of the slices here. I definitely recommend the North Shore or North Beach, which both have pineapple. Pineapple haters back off! However, Slapbox has options for you, too. So disappointed! I had been wanting to go to this restaurant for a long time and finally did yesterday. There was one waitress for the entire place, so service was slow. They brought out my friends sandwich first and I had to wait another 15 minutes for my pizza! When I got my pepperoni pizza, I ate one bite and knew I was not going to eat anymore...it was horrible! The waitonever asked to be refill our drinks or how the food was. But oh boy when it came to the tip, she gave me this handheld device and she stayed at the table while I filled out the tip. Are we've lived in Round Rock for 15 years or so and have never done a staycation here. We decided to check out the new Embassy Suites up north and frequent some local businesses. Of course, we had to go to downtown to sample the local fare. I have heard so many good things about this place over the years. After VBS, we were going to meet some friends at Rockin River Waterpark so we were in a little bit of a time crunch. I looked at the menu ahead of time and saw they sold pizza by the slice, so I assumed it would be quick. But this was my bad, because I think they individually make all of these single slices, so it takes about 30 minutes. They state this on the menu. My daughter and I each got an individual slice which was really the size of a personal pizza. We also ordered the Capresse salad and the pork shanks. I thought the Caprese was pretty good, and did not care for the pork shanks. However, I'm not a huge pork fan so I'm not sure what I was thinking ordering them. But my daughter seemed to enjoy them. The atmosphere was fun, we sat at a long table in the middle next to a group of teenagers. The staff was definitely busy, but nice and efficient. I think we will probably go back sometime, but if we are in a hurry we will order something else off the menu besides pizza. read more

I love the atmosphere and the music they play- although i don't think it would hurt to lower the volume a touch just so you can have a conversation- but definitely not a deal breaker. Service was very prompt and good. We ordered two pieces of pizza by the slice. I had the pepperoni, and my GF ordered plain cheese. We were both very impressed with our slices. The crust was perfect, cheese was perfect and hot, and my pepperoni was flavorful. We had zero complaints and enjoyed the food. We saw on another yelp review that this place is owned by the 600-degree pizza place in Georgetown. I love the Thai chili wings at Slap Box and it's the main reason I ever go there. Yesterday, we had a few hours for a quick Friday afternoon date and decided we needed wings and pizza in our life. We ordered a dozen wings, a pepperoni slice and a pepperoni and jalapeño slice. I love that they have Maine Root soda instead of Coca Cola or Pepsi products. Our server was super nice but his head was in the clouds. We had to get up twice to ask for drink refills. He would pass right by us and ignore us waving trying to get his attention. Super excited to try the food, ambience was great. As soon as you walk in it says seat yourself so we sat ourselves outside. I was a little skeptical since the only clean table that we liked open was on the sides, I thought we wouldn't get noticed. Sure enough I was right. A couple came in 5 minutes after and sat in front of the window, of course got greeted first. Sever didn't even bother looking if there was another new table. Another server came out a couple of minutes after to the table NEXT to us , clearly saw us and proceed to pretend we were not there. We waited a good total of 15 minutes. She finally came out, and to top it off she didn't apologize for the wait. Her attitude was rude and looked bothered at the fact she had to do her job. She greeted us with a super short HI.
