She's not just a service provider, she's a godsend to our family and new pup! From field trips, long walks, south block pup cups...Megan has given our new pug amazing socialization and enrichment. He is thriving as a new city family dog and we have Megan to thank for most of that, continually looking out for him, updating us with photos and videos of his fun-filled days, and her extraordinary effort to adjust him to all different types of dogs and people! She always makes time to walk my dog, even for a last minute request. She is responsible and highly attentive, and checks in with me on a daily basis if I forget to ask for a walk. My dog can be anxious and sometimes destructive when I work long hours, but since Aaralyn started walking him daily he's relaxed and content when I get home. Her services are personalized, reliable, and affordable. Also, Aaralyn shows how much she cares for the dogs she walks by providing an outstanding and unmatched level of service. When my dog became very sick one day inside his kennel, she immediately cleaned him and his kennel, made him a clean dry bed, and then texted and emailed me to let me know what was going on. For the next three days, she went to check on him every two hours while I was at work, even if it was just to sit with him and comfort him. On top of that, one of her walkers took my dog to the vet and waited with me while he got checked out, then walked him back home so that I could go back to work. This walker even bought a bottle of water to bring with him to make sure that my sick dog would have something cool to drink on the walk to the vet and back. She did not charge a penny extra for any of this - only for the times he was walked. She's fantastic!

And apparently they accept no responsibility: "Unfortunately we do not have a grooming at this facility and really no way of cleaning her up other than just water. The dogs are crated throughout the day when we are rotating the classes of the different groups of pups. When we have a full house it is almost impossible to keep cleaning crates and transferring her to another." - Megan Clipfel-Johnson, Structured Daycare Manager This all sounds like a District Dogs problem, not my problem. With them knowingly operating one location in a flood zone that ultimately killed puppies during a flash flood last year to an employee at another location hitting a puppy that resulted in its death, you would think they would have a heightened level of care, but apparently not. Be cautious of using the Parkview location if you care about your pup's health and wellbeing.

In addition, I never received an explanation as to why some days I was charged more than others, for the very same service.  All in all, Atas Doghouse is a convenient, affordable option for doggy daycare, but you will want to be diligent about checking the charges to your credit card frequently.

After using Wagamuffin for a few months, we were prompted to find a different dog walker after two separate individuals in the neighborhood pulled me aside and voiced concern about how unhappy our puppy seemed during his walks. Both individuals felt conflicted sharing this information, but witnessed this on more than one occasion, and as fellow dog owners felt that they should at least let me know. I'm so glad that they did. Although the dog walkers through Wagamuffin showed up as scheduled, and adapted to any cancellations, they were not being kind to our dog during his walks - which explains why he would hide if we were home when the dog walker came. We found a dog walker in the area who was a better match for our puppy - someone that truly loved his dogs, treated them with more care, and exceeded our expectations of service. And, it was remarkable how at ease our dog became and how excited he was to see his new walkers. My advice would be, if you're in a crunch, Wagamuffin is okay. But, if you're looking for someone to really love your dog, look elsewhere.
