Alexa was a great help at both helping me meet my needs and fit within my budget. I went with a used Cannondale bike and it was in lovely shape. The shop had it all fixed up and up to par. They even installed the rack on for me that I bought. The prices were more than fair, as i ended up getting all my needed accessories here too. All the staff i talked to were friendly and guided me through the various of options of what I was looking for. This shop is a great part of the community and I am glad I got my first bike here!

I was able to get my bike looked at right away, the employee I spoke to told me to come right over. The inside of the shop is spacious and they have a handful of seats for customers awaiting bike repairs. The inside of the shop was pack but I was able to speak with someone right away. The employees were very friendly and willing to educate me on my bike issue. The employee was able to figure out my issue quickly as well as do a general bike inspection. Not only does Igor's do bike repairs, they sale bike accessories. I was finally able to purchase a bike basket! Due to my bike structure the employee was able to help me find the right basket for my bike. I will definitely continue to bring my bike to Igor's! I met some cool people from the neighborhood and never felt like they were trying to upsell me for other services or unnecessary accessories.

It turned out that the rotor for my back wheel was slightly bent. They changed my tires, ordered a new rotor for my back wheel and installed it. They had to completely take apart my electric bike in order to install the new rotor. It took them about a week, about a half week of that was getting the rotor delivered. Great guys, very knowledgeable and friendly, a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Cole waved the charge for changing the rotor in my back wheel because they missed it the first time I came over to pick my baby up, after a few miles it had started making that worrying noise again. Definitely quality of service and they stand behind their work. Highly recommend!!

I walked into EZ Rider looking for an e-bike and walked out feeling like I had just joined a cult--but like, a really cool, eco-friendly cult where everyone smiles and talks about torque and battery life. The owners Cole and Eric are basically the Tony Stark of e-bikes, but way more approachable and with better jokes. They took the time to explain everything to me, even though my only question was, "Does it come in green?" (Spoiler: it does.) The bikes are top-notch, the prices are fair, and the vibes are immaculate. I've never felt so cool riding something that doesn't require a gym membership. Plus, I'm pretty sure I'm saving the planet one pedal-assist at a time. If you're thinking about getting an e-bike, do yourself a favor and stop by EZ Rider. Just don't blame me when you start referring to your car as "the old-fashioned way to get around."

And on an on an on an on and on. And on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. And on and on and on and on and on an on and on and on and on and on. It was a long time. I waited. And I waited some more. I did some serious waiting five feet away in a red sweater. No acknowledgment. No letting me know it might be a while. But that would've likely stopped the upselling I started to see. So I turned me and my bike around and left. It's hard for me to be on my feet that long. That's why I bike. Dood has a right to be into his subject matter. Usually shops want you to feel comfortable and respected as somewhat of a priority, even if you aren't being directly pitched at the moment... it just was not a good vibe. All doods working there when I was in. Way heavy on the dood vibe. Captive audience syndrome. Sigh. Dood has to do what a dood does. I avoid places like this. Going to the bike collective in Rogers Park instead next time.

Other years we've adopted a used bike that needs some TLC. This week they are working on upgrades to my kids' road bikes to make them better suited to racing on the velodrome in Northbrook. As always, the guy who helped us (Kyle) was knowledgeable about the options and had good advice about how to proceed. I knew that would be the case and knew that the shop is always fair about labor costs, which is why I brought the bikes back from Northbrook to have the work done. Long story short, this place is great, and you won't regret giving it your business.
