"A FAMILY AFFAIR" This is a really nice atmosphere to hang out, dance, eat or drink. It is one big huge family. Everyone is so kind and nice including the patrons. We were greeted by KRISTEN B, as soon as we entered the door. She was busy but she welcomed us with open arms and provided a sitting area to look over the menu and drinks. Then they have a game day special menu that was soo good. Drinks : Lemon Drop martini, Don Julio Silver and Patron Margarita. This is a bar that serves some good food but plays very bad music although it looks like they can do live music. 5216 Table & Tap is a new spot that opened up back in 2019 which as become noted for being a really great spot to grab a good meal and have some good times in the greater New Orleans area. This spot certainly has some interesting design features and while I've never been here at night it looks like you could have a lot of fun here. I was here for lunch and enjoyed a really nice cheeseburger with some quite amazing brussels sprouts. Overall this is a great spot to grab a meal and possibly a nice spot to enjoy some nightlife as well but I haven't had the opportunity to check that out yet. On Saturday, June 14th, 2025 after a gala in NOLA, two friends and I went to Table and Tap for some drinks. Upon entering, someone threw up all over the floor. It took about 40 minutes for a worker to come pick it up. Then, there was a tall, white, bald man who appeared to be working there walking back and forth behind the bar, making people drinks. I asked him why the bar is called "Table and Tap". He said "I don't know-what do I look like?" And I said "I don't know, maybe someone who works here considering you're working?" And he said "Well I don't work here." I asked a regular, and they said the tall, white, bald man's name is Gary/Lloyd, and he's the general manager. When asked why he was so rude to a customer, the regular stated that he's "just like that". It doesn't take working in the service industry to know how rude and unnecessary Gary/Lloyd was. It's a shame, because Table and Tap seemed like a cool place. But now I will never return due to the GENERAL MANAGER going completely of our their way to be rude to a CUSTOMER. Absolutely despicable. I will never return and I'll be sure to let everyone know how terrible of a place Table and Tap is. Whoever is over Gary/Lloyd, I really hope they see this message so they know how damaging Gary/Lloyd is to your business. Just looked over other reviews-not sure how Gary/Lloyd is still around seeing all the other reviews about how ugly he's been to other customers over the years. Table and Tap's reputation seems ruined-but there's always hope if the management changes to someone who isn't completely unprofessional. The negative reviews involving management seem to be from mostly African Americans, but considering I'm Caucasian, now I know it's not a race thing, and that the staff is just overall horrible. read more

Upon entering, there was nobody to greet us so we weren't quite sure what to do. The bar is right by the entrance so we made our way there where we were told by one of the bartenders to sit anywhere we like, and handed us menus. We sat near the rear of the restaurant, by the back bar and looked at the menu. After about 15 minutes of several people walking back and forth around us, never talking to us, I asked a tall white, bald headed man if he could send someone over to take our order. He replied that they're busy and they don't have servers and the that when the bartenders aren't busy they'd be out to take our order. He stated we could go to the bar to place our order. This wouldn't have been a problem had we been told this when we came in. Nonetheless, I went to the bar, ordered, and paid. The food came out pretty quickly, was hot fresh, and tasty. I ordered a lemon drop martini also which was pretty good and reasonably priced ($8.95). There certainly wasn't a "WOW" factor about the service but the food was good, atmosphere was great to watch games, eat, and drink. More adult centered. Bathrooms were also pretty clean which is always a plus for me. I'd be open to giving it another chance even though I felt like the service was subpar. Especially when the bald headed guy seemed to be more pleasant and service oriented with everyone else. He appeared to be the owner or manager which really made it worst, but perhaps he wasn't having a great day and we weren't regulars. Wow I did not know this place was new. We had a small party here on a Friday night and the place was just amazing. On the top of their menu it says "Metairie Needed A Place Like This". And that is right on the dot. This place is the epitome of a smart business move and really fills a void that needed to be filled. I describe this place as a bar with restaurant level food and club music. They have a great atmosphere, pool tables, plenty of bar space, lots of TVs everywhere, seating outside, clean bathrooms, about 5 great bartenders. Most of the TVs had ESPN on which was playing that old Disney movie "Rookie of the Year" and the rest had this really well made commercial video for the bar on loop. You can see the video on their website. It's an easy scene to walk into and not an intimidating bar by any means (coming from a serious introvert). I got the El Guapo Burger (guacamole, rajas, bacon, monterey jack) and if you've read my review for Down The Hatch, you'll know that the more Texan you can make a burger, the better. It was absolutely delicious and their bartenders with which we ordered were able to accurately hunt us down after we left the bar and sat amongst a crowd of people. The fiancee got the cuban sandwich. I unfortunately did not get to try it but when she finishes a sandwich and doesn't leave any for me, it usually means it's pretty good. Ample condiments at every table. I did ask for napkins at the bar and I only got those tiny square napkins but I guess they work. As for the club music, I thought I saw a DJ in one corner? It was a great music selection in my opinion. You would frequently see the occasional person mouthing the lyrics and dancing like they're at the club but then quickly remembering they're in a bar. I don't know if that's the typical night for this place but maybe just Friday nights. The music got gradually louder throughout the night and I definitely noticed a mild deafness when I came out. I think their biggest problem is parking. There just isn't much and not a good way to get more. There is a pharmacy on one side and an urgent care on the other. Can probably park at the pharmacy in the evenings. They do have a little parking in the back. Final conclusion, get your friends and go to this place! read more

So this place has gone down a lot. The bartenders there are so unfriendly. Felt like I was bothering them while asking for a drink. I won't be going back there again. Love this place.. The boudin egg rolls are my fav and the Asian glaze chicken wings. The servers are always friendly and the drinks are always on point. Just went to this new restaurant on the ninth of this month for the first time on my second trip to the New Orleans area. Gorgeous place, clean as a whistle, very well organized and well designed. The restrooms were immaculate as well. Cocktails are very very well made which is no surprise due to one of the partners, Dave, being well known as head bartender at a well respected New Orleans hotel bar for years. Food was outstanding as well, with a nicely varied menu. Like the drinks, Dave has direct input on the recipes. The Brussels Sprouts were better than any I've had here near my home in Sonoma County, which is quite a compliment, and the Wings were equally good. I had the Cuban Sandwich and it was as good as the ones I had when living in Miami though done slightly differently. The service was outstanding and the restaurant offers great value for money. About half what I'm used to paying here at home for similar quality. Highly recommended. read more

I come to this bar frequently & service is ALWAYS great when the guys are working & total opposite when the females are behind the bar!! My fiancé totally agreed!! I still tip 20% because I use to be in this industry & some ppl just have bad nights, but this night was the last straw!! Terrible owners. The man who owns it has two sons who are self proclaimed "co-owners". Went one night during capacity rules..the door man and bouncers were trying to keep count and accommodate the people who had been waiting in line to get in while others were leaving, but the owners sons showed up with a group of people and walked right in raising the capacity making everyone in line wait longer. Even saw the manager and bouncers complaining about the situation bc they had trouble keeping count. Haven't been back since. Don't think I will. Does not allow children. Two cars were unloading children but staff waited till we were at the door to open it and to tell us that no children allowed. Small sign said no one under 21 but we didn't see it till after the kids were out of car seats. We live 5 minutes from here. Had the Nola burgers and fries as takeout about 4 months ago and they were awesome. Perfectly seasoned meat and neatly assembled on the buns. Fries were natural cut and larger sized. We were excited to try again soon. Second time was a disappointment. Fries were no better than limp McDonald's fries. They were out of cheddar cheese for the burgers. And the worst part was the bottom bun on the burgers. It was soggy and slimy and inedible. The bread seemed gooey and raw. Hard to explain. Fast forward to today. We were hoping that the second visit results were a fluke. But seems the first time excellent food was the fluke. Fries were skinny and blah again. Burger bottom buns were so horribly soggy and gooey again. So sad because we live so close and are still on the lookout for a decent burger. This enjoyable moment turned quickly into a nightmare . My card was charged more than multiple times at this establishment for my bill. The man who claimed he is the bar manager tried to say i didn't have any money on my card and wouldn't let me talk . I tried to tell him a cash app card wouldn't let you charge something that's not there . The original amount was $149.25 but he charged my card for $139.14 and then $25.00 . He refused listen to anything I had to say after trying to state that I was broke and if I need a discount that's all I need to say . He even went to other customers to let them know what was going on which was very unprofessional. He claim to state that he called the police but after waiting so long , I called the police . The police told me he had never called which seem strange since he refuse to give me my debt card back and kept charging my card still multiple times after I left the establishment. I'm not sure if I should consider this a color issue but he definitely had a problem with me . I would never go back since I was treated so poorly . A group of 20 of our friends went here for New Year's Eve and payed for a VIP Section that included couches ", bottle service and a small dance floor just for us. We paid good money for this section, over $1000. We were all having a good time out on the dance floor until the owner and his wife and family came up there being as rude as can be. His whole family went on our little floor and just stood there taking up room. They proceeded to look at us up and down when we were trying to have a good time and dance. It would be one thing if they came up there and were having a good time but they just wanted to show they owned the place and they could do whatever they wanted. They were there for hours and our whole group was upset because it was hard to dance when they were just standing there like bumps on a log. As a business owner you should take care of your customers but they clearly don't know how to do that. Your customers pay good money and for what... I will not being my business back here and I will also tell people I know never to come there. read more
