I have been to Mid-City Yacht club twice in the last few months. The 1st time was for lunch during the week, and I was one of the only people there. I got a beer(s) and some truffle fries and relaxed out on the back patio. The second time, I came on a Sunday at 11am. I got some buffalo wings that were crisp, juicy and just perfect and I also got an order of fresh cut fries. Delicious. While we were there it started raining and the kickball league across the street came running in. Well, the 2 bartenders handled this crowd of like 50 people faster than I thought possible. Disappointingly enough, none of the employees came near the entrance to make ordering easier. We had masks on, they did not, so it did not make sense why none of them came closer. The bar had no other patrons. Next, I am admittedly more apprehensive about sanitation, or a lack thereof, now. I was a bit taken aback that the whole process of making drinks and taking our order was done without gloves. I would not have cared had the bartender simply made drinks but squeezing the lemon and dropping it in the drink with her bare hands rattled my spirit. I don't know--maybe I'm being too anal. I just think proper hand washing or sanitation is more important than ever during COVID. Third, my friend was sure his Crown Apple was mixed with something else. We drink it enough to know. LOL.
