No call, no show, no communication. My carpet installation was scheduled for an 8-10 AM arrival window. I took the day off work and prepared my home according to their installation requirements, expecting to spend the day getting our carpet installed. 10 AM came and went with no installers and no communication. I spent the rest of the day calling repeatedly trying to figure out what was happening. Two phone numbers I was given didn't even work, and corporate customer service could only tell me that my materials were loaded into a vehicle and that my house was showing as "in progress." No one could give me an ETA or even tell me whether a crew was actually coming. Around noon, someone finally showed up--except he was there to install hard-surface flooring, not carpet. He realized he had been sent to the wrong job, left, and told me the carpet crew should arrive in about three hours. They never came. I continued calling and was eventually offered $150 off if the installation didn't happen that day, while they still couldn't tell me whether anyone was coming. No one ever called to tell me the crew wasn't coming, apologize, or reschedule. It has now been more than 24 hours since my scheduled installation. I have emailed the company, made approximately five calls, lost an entire day of work, and I still do not have an ETA or a new installation date. Mistakes happen. What makes this unacceptable is the complete lack of communication and accountability afterward. I should not have to spend hours chasing down a company I'm paying thousands of dollars to find out whether they plan to show up. I'll update this review if and when 50Floor resolves the situation, but as of right now, I cannot recommend them. read more

I spent 10k on my "high end" lament flooring. It didn't even last 2 YEARS! The flooring is cracking, lifting, separating. I've contacted the company several times and apparently nothing is covered under their terrible warranty. The installation was horrible, they fixed the separating uneven tiles once by folding up cardboard soda boxes to "level out" the sub floor. When I complained they refused to come back out . Instead they said to send an email of the creaking noise and soft spots I heard and felt when walking on it. I asked how to send a photo of that and I got no response. I can pick up the tiles everywhere with my hands from it separating but apparently since it's a "floating floor that's to be expected". Honestly I threw 10k in the garbage with this flooring since I have to have the entire floor replaced. Please take this review and go somewhere/anywhere else for flooring read more

The issue is 50Floor subcontracts other companies to do their installations, they don't actually have a department of their own that does installations. And unfortunately the company they sent to do the job at my home was TERRIBLE! First off the company tried to make us pay $200 cash on the side to them directly for moving totes, which they were supposed to move. Even though they arrived way earlier on the second day of the install than the quoted time of arrival. Had they been here within the window we could have moved the items for them. They used my hand towel in my downstairs bathroom for removal of the toilet to lay the floor, they then left it thrown on the sink soaking wet; also they used one of my dish towels from my kitchen shelf to stain the 1/4 round! When the 1/4 round was laid they had no plans on staining the edges! We literally had to ask them to or it would have been a very light colored wood against the dark color. Also they did not cut the 1/4 round when measuring to fit, they literally just broke it raggedly and it looks less than attractive! When they left and was supposed to "clean up" after themselves they left my downstairs toilet undone because they did not screw it down with the two toilet bolts on the side. There are two pieces of the vinyl lifting in my kitchen that were not all the way down after installation because we swept and mopped after they finished and noticed it. They broke our bed frame and the floor in the bedroom, underneath the nightstand is uneven, the nightstand wobbles and won't stay stable! The final paperwork, the certification that the work is completed, was forged by one of the workers because he was upset about not getting the $200. After all of the things they did wrong/broke/or recklessly handled he still had the nerve to ask for $200 and then get mad when the answer was No!!! So he forged our signature on the final paperwork. And to top it off they trapped my cat in a vent! Even though they were told from the beginning that he was in the home and would hide. The biggest issue is these people laid my flooring in the wrong direction on my second level!!! I blame 50Floor just as much because after these events, when the project was complete, I contacted them for 4 days in a row, still with no resolution yet! I've been corresponding with a Kim and let her tell it we're still waiting to hear back from the director/supervisor that she had to escalate my complaints up to! She called to schedule repairs today, which repairs? Not sure! When? Still don't know! She had to order materials. But the rest of the complaints have gone unanswered. Think twice before signing on with for a flooring project! I surely regret it. read more

Brought wrong carpet and then told me I was wrong! Three people checked the wrong carpet, It was the wrong carpet. Then Sean worked to get somebody to install after they got the right carpet. My base boards were all torn up and had to be repainted. Carpet doesn't go all the way to wall, some unglued places and seams in wrong place. Did not call to have repaired because felt the service would be the same thing. read more

Hired to replace flooring. Didn't include subfloor of $1700 in initial quote. Didn't let us know that the flooring would affect the use of our doors and left without saying so or fixing them. When called about it - they said - they don't care of that kind of thing. They should really know ahead of time if their work is going to cause other things to need to be repaired! Lots of passing blame around. Do not recommend. read more

Extremely Disappointed - Poor Quality and Overpriced From start to finish, this was a huge disappointment. For a large and expensive job, they sent only two workers. One of them left halfway through the day, leaving the other to handle a big project alone. Unfortunately, he didn't speak English, so I couldn't even ask questions or get updates. When the other worker finally returned later in the day, they rushed to finish the job and it really showed. The flooring in some areas looks poorly done, the baseboards are a mess, and the caulking is even worse. They were sent back to fix their own shoddy work on the baseboards and to replace them, but instead of making it right, they did another rushed, sloppy job--and replaced nothing. Overall, the quality was well below expectations and the price was far too high for what we received. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

My first review was removed. However, I still find 50 Floor personnel Top Notch. We have been in a bind to purchase additional flooring due to a room expansion and have hunted tirelessly for additional & matching flooring. Tierra and Michael came through for us!! They found exactly the right LVP sample flooring we need. Their dedication for Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction is beyond and above what is required. They care. They help beyond measure. An order will be placed today. I'll post a new comment when it is installed. Happy tears is all I can say. Thank You for all of your help! read more

Tile removal and new Flooring for entire 1st floor including half bath. First issue is they didn't start until after 10am both days. The second day they finished at 945pm and they did not install my toilet correctly. They came back once to fix it, and its still the same. Customer service basically said that I have to pay to get it fixed even though their installers, are the ones that put it in wrong. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. They are overpriced and did a crappy job. I will be taking legal action to have them pay for repairs. Very disappointed. Stay away from this company. read more

This is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to work with. We signed our contract being told that the low spots on our floor would be taken care of. I clarified this with three separate people including the install team. Not only was it not done, but we have been waiting for a resolution on this issue for over three months. We even got ahold of the national customer service manager who told us fixing the low spots would be and extra charge, this was NEVER communicated to us. We STILL have no resolution as they claim they have no man power to fix this for us. Im shocked this company is still in business read more

I had a terrible experience with 50Floor this week. Installation scheduled for 8/4, installer cancels day-of and says will reach out to reschedule, I hear nothing for two days so call 50Floor myself 8/6 to reschedule, talk to someone who says she will have someone call me, and still no response. Installer shows up unannounced 8/8 to install, I call 50Floor again to ask what is going on and why someone showed up with no notice. I get redirected to a store manager and then an installation manager, just to learn that the installer lied and said I agreed to the 8/8 installation, and then the installation manager forgot to call me to confirm the installation. What a terrible experience. read more

***update** I received a call from 50Floors within hours of my review. The price was good and the wait time for install was decent but the actual install is give and take, yes it's installed but they didn't cut correct sized holes for the ventilation. I had flooring done by 50 floor. My kitchen floor is buckling and coming unglued After just 2 years. Install is warranty for 1 year and they did the install but walk away. 50 floors is a horrible company. Had a floor put in and it pealed and had scratches in it the very next day. The swatches presented by the sales men did not peal when i scratched. It was still over priced at 50% off. Could not pull in a chair with out the floor being scratched. They did not fix the problem so I was stuck with throwing out a floor that was put in less than a month old. I tried contacting customer service after it was installed and there was no effort to fix the problem. read more

I would have gave them 5 stars but the cleanup from installers is terrible . I was left with a small pile of floor cement to clean up . Several nails from the nail gun . Buuuuttt , the big but they do excellent work the installers . Prompt and efficient installers . I actually had a second quote to add my hallway to the project they gave the installers the paperwork excluding the hallway . So it works out I'm gonna have my living room done and hallway soon . You might say why have them work if the clean up was bad ? The quality work out weighs the cons ! The quality of the flooring is great it doesn't get dirty fast like that big box retailer flooring . If you hire 50 floor or any company get a magnet go across your driveway and inside . Andrew is an also salesman! Listens to your needs and shows you the right product. read more

Liz was great! Very knowledgeable and helpful. Can't wait for installment! I know be absolutely thrilled with the end results.

My experience with 50floor was very good and I would use them again. The only constructive criticism I would give is two things. 1. for them to institute some sort of punch list into the process where I list of items is added to the sales process. We requested shoe molding and the installers showed up with quarter round. We chose to continue with it rather than re-schedule and it came out great. 2. Be clearer about the painting of the molding with the installers. We were told our molding would be painted as part of installation. The installers seemed to be unaware we wanted it painted. The check list would have solved this. They indicated it would either come painted white or they would paint it white unless we had the paint. They did use our paint, but the lack of primer forced us to paint it again. If 50 floor is going to promise to paint it needs to be communicated to installers and then primed and painted. Some of our transitions were not glued down properly. I called and emailed and got no response. I texted my salesman and got a call from 50 floor right away and got it corrected very quickly and it looks great. Ironically, I got a call from 50floor again about my original calls and e-mails to set up a repair time as I watched the repair people actually fixing my floor. Overall, it was not a bad experience, and I would use them again, I would just have my own check list to the contract. read more

The installation was a nightmare. The floors were not leveled to be at the same height as the floor they removed. When they removed the old floor they damaged my newly painted walls, door, and trim. They left scrapped tiles in my air ducts. To top things off they broke my toilet which I found out when I flushed it and it leaked all over my new floor resulting in a $550 plumbing bill! My advice go elsewhere. read more

I want to provide a much needed  " Aatta boy " for my experience with the process and for my experience with the Installers that installed my new floor. Well,I was happy with the overall experience with all parts of the process. My sales man, Paul Jogov,  was very good and knowledgeable about your products and was great at what he dose whish is SELL And interaction with your potential customers. The updating department did a great job with keeping me abreast of what was happening, super great job! The Installation group with great with their care of making sure that the floors were as level as they could be for a house that was 140+ years old with original floors. They took care and their time with installing My floors . It took about 2.5 days. They did some finish up work and did a nice job cleaning up after they were done. I now have to do the fine finish cleaning to get rid of most of the dust and to vacuum the basement too. The basement is some concert flooring most is till brick and dirt.. Thank you so much for your help with this process and persistence in keeping me as a customer. I was really happy with my experience, hence is the reason I'm sending this email, as a rule I don't usually praise this way unless really very please with my experience. I was told that I would have 12 months no payments if paid off in the 12 months I would have no interest. Never got a bill from Wells Fargo who I was approved financing through. And was charged a late fee and did not even know I had a bill due. I called Wells Fargo to find out why I have payments due and they said my offer was 12 months interest free but I still had to make a monthly payment which I planned to pay off with in the 12 months not in monthly installments. This was very misleading and now I have a $200 monthly bill that I did not budget for. Very unhappy that I was mislead with the promotional offer. The floors are ok NOT GREAT for the aggravation. There is no show room and limited samples. We were disappointed with the quality of the carpet after it was installed. The installation was done by 20 year old subcontractors who arrived at 3:30 pm despite being told they would arrive between 9 am - 10 am. They worked until 12:30 am. The installation was subpar. Glue was spilled on carpet and it wasn't picked up, edges were rough and parts of carpet were not secured to tack board well. We paid for squeaks to be repaired and although we showed them the squeaky areas, the installers ignored them and just said they didn't have the tools. We also paid to have the furniture moved but ended up doing most ourselves. The installers nail gun broke and two different installers came back the next day to finish job and fix some of the issues. I definitely would not recommend based on the sales process, lack of options, poor quality and spotty installation. read more

I will change my rating depending on how well the job is done but so far I have been highly disappointed with 50 Floor. The salesman Mark was outstanding but the waiting process has been stressful. The sale was made on April 30 and I have still yet to even make an appointment for the installation because my flooring has yet to be delivered to their warehouse. I was told around May 3 that the ETA for their warehouse to receive my flooring was May 18 and that someone will call to arrange an appointment. Once May 18 rolled around, I called and left a message. Then my call was returned the following day saying that the flooring was estimated to arrive that day (May 19) and someone will give me a call the following Tuesday (May 24). I was kinda sad because my parents were coming to town and I even took off work that week hoping it would be installed before then. Well, on May 24, I called again and was told that my flooring was still not delivered to their warehouse yet and that the latest it would be delivered is next Tuesday (May 31) which is nearly 2 weeks after the initial ETA and now a month from the initial sale date. I'm hoping the instillation is excellent because I'm extremely disappointed in the constant delays/push backs. Empire is very prompt with their appointments and installation but I did not like their prices and lack of customer service in my recent experience. I'm still leaving hope that 50 Floor will do an outstanding job. read more

Great expedient customer service from the beginning. I signed after the presentation from the sales representative who came to our home with carpet samples and measuring tools. He made a point of saying that he recommended the standard pad since anything else would void the one year warranty. We were carpeting our basement so fine. He even said if we upgraded to a thicker pad it would still void the warranty. After measuring the room he took a lot of time explaining how the seam would run lengthwise and out of traffic pattern. Since this opinion lined up with what another carpet company said when they measured the room a couple of weeks earlier. So it made sense to me. HOWEVER 50 floor installed carpet with seam going crosswise right in the middle of the room. The sales guy also said 50 floor would pull the baseboard molding and reinstall after carpet was laid. This did not happen. He also said he pulled an upgraded pad- thicker than standard and pet proof. Ordinarily I would have been thrilled- but what about that warrantee? But no big deal/ it looks fine. I guess my low rating is due to a sales team making promises to get a sale and lack of communication to the installer and that team. Not thrilled with the seam placement but they said they would extend the warranty to 5 years. Sigh. read more
