Once the work was done we had a couple of touch-ups that we needed, and a couple of things we wanted to have added that we didn't discuss initially. All of that follow-up work was completed within a week of asking and our new addition looks great. This is a review of their business practices not necessarily their work. My first conversation was the office manager (who was polite and professional) asking an extraordinary amount of questions prior to a visit including measurements which I felt that was the job of the person coming out to provide an estimate. I was given a quote of 40-60K for a small Lakewood bathroom (note this was before anyone actually saw my bathroom.. why is this done?). Then I was scheduled out several weeks in advance. The day of my appointment, I took off of work. About a half hour prior to the appointment time, it was cancelled. I get it, stuff happens. I was a bit put off by the last minute cancel and the wasted day off. I went to reschedule and they had nothing for several weeks. I asked if they can make an exception since they were the ones to cancel and they could not. They asked if I wanted a zoom appointment (not sure how that would work???). I live 10 minutes away from their office. In the mean time I had 3 other local contractors (who had all been recommended) come out. All three were half of the price of the "estimate" I was given over the phone. Obviously this company does not need work. I cancelled my second appointment in an email to the company outlining my reasons.

It hurt to even give these guys one star. Samuel (owner) will talk the talk. He sounded so…read moreconfident and professional when we spoke to him for the quote. We were impressed and wanted to give him a shot at our whole house, interior paint job. He promised us he could get it done before we moved in (about a week) and that anything we didn't like, he would make sure it was to our liking before leaving. He started by buying the cheapest paint Sherwin Williams offers. It was ProMar 200 - commercial grade paint. After the first day, they asked us what time we wanted them there the next day and we said, 8am. They responded, "Well we live a half hour away." First guy showed up the next day at 9:20. They showed up late other times too. None of them seemed like very experienced painters. Applied tape poorly, so that when it was taken off, lines were not clean at all. Kitchen ceiling had multiple missed areas, making it look worse than before they "painted" it. They had told us they would put up drywall over the wall in a half bath because previous owner had painted over wallpaper, and couldn't be removed without pulling off chunks of drywall. Then in the middle of the job, they decided to just "patch" the areas where wallpaper was peeling. See picture below to see how that turned out. The worst was one night, Samuel left the youngest guy to finish the kitchen area. The kid decided to speed things up and used a sprayer on our drywall. We were left with overspray on ceilings, walls, and kitchen cabinets. We were very upset and called Samuel who promised to show up on Memorial Day weekend to make it right. Said he would bring in a crew of 4 from another job. He showed up with one guy, didn't have the materials to fix the overspray on the cabinets. When we got to the house 5 minutes late (we still weren't moved in yet), he was angry that we were late. When we pointed out that it was only a few minutes and his guys had been late repeatedly, he denied it and said they were leaving because we "disrespected them". Couldn't believe it. They left our house damaged, didn't clean up their messes, and just left. They disrespected our time and property throughout the project, and because we called them out for doing such poor work and being late repeatedly, they were "disrespected." We figured they knew they were in over their heads with all the damage, so they needed a way out. No crew of 4 showed up to "make things right." Seems like they had no intention of bringing anyone in. Just needed an excuse to quit in the middle of the poorly done job. We obviously didn't pay them the balance, but they took us for WAY too much money anyway considering the unfinished work, horrible quality of work that was done, and unprofessional time management. They even took all the cheap paint with them so we couldn't even make corrections ourselves. Ended up getting an amazing guy to help us out and he did great work cleaning up their messes and applying high quality paint. If you are considering using this company for a project, RUN AWAY FAST!!

He reasponded to all our emails very quickly, called us with updates, and when the weather put the job on hold, he let us know his plan on how to finish up the job. Yes they're reasonably priced and great communicators but the work was done amazing! They are super detail orientated, power washed our entire house before starting the paint, and taped off all sections perfectly that there was zero bleed on to any windows. We felt scammed because timing was very important to us, but had to proceed despite feeling the owner was dishonest. The crew that was sent to install (Tim and Giovanni) was unprofessional and made a lot of mistakes. It got to a point where we felt uncomfortable with them in our home. When they did show up, we caught one of the workers laying on our new carpet and rolling around. When we brought up the issues to the owner and installation manager (and sent proof), they did not seem to care. It seemed as if this was normal for them. Any solutions were brought up by us and no solutions were provided by the company. We even had to point out a lot of mistakes that were made that the installation manager missed. At one point, we had to facilitate getting our carpet to our home because one of the workers wanted to leave and we had to do the labor of carrying the carpet into our home. When we finally got another crew out, they were confused about why our project took 7 days when they said they could have it completed in 2. At the end, when discussing with the owner, we felt he was he acted rude, aggressive, and condescending. The dishonesty and lack of communication throughout the process was the worst we've experienced through 5 years of home improvements. An actual quote from the owner was, "I only care about the numbers." After fighting with them for a week, the end product is acceptable but not as expected or worth the price. This company does not care about the job they do, they say themselves they only care about the numbers.

They had to replace some of the molding trim and modify others after the new countertops were installed. They also repaired two of my small built in small appliances cabinets. They installed my sinks, garbage disposal, faucets and stove top. Everything was done in a professional manner and looks great. My wife and I are very pleased with how everything turned out. They were very responsive and the job was completed within three weeks from when I gave them the go ahead to start the job. I will use them again and recommend them to others.

They were able to complete the project ahead of time and did a professional concrete job. This included excavating the existing stone out of the driveway, setting forms, pouring a "dry" mix of concrete 5" to 6" deep, using wire reinforcement, adding a broom finish and sealing all concrete with a sealer. The workers were personable, polite, hard working and showed professionalism while at our job. I would recommend Fiucci Builds for their workmanship, competitive pricing and professional.
