Very Disappointed With My 50Floor Installation Experience
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with 50Floor. What was supposed to be a 1 1/2-2 day installation ended up taking five days, and even then, the job was not fully completed. I ultimately had to continue contacting the company to get the remaining issues addressed, with the process dragging on until 8/27/26 -- nearly one year after the original installation.
The installation began on 8/28/25 and involved workers being in my home for multiple days. Unfortunately, I had to contact my salesperson before some of the problems I was seeing were even addressed. Communication throughout the installation was poor, and communication afterward was even worse. My salesperson did not return my emails or text messages after the job was supposedly completed on 9/1/25.
The way my home and belongings were treated was one of my biggest concerns.
I use a wheelchair, and I honestly felt at times that the company and installers did not expect me to speak up about the quality of the work or how my home and belongings were being treated. I had to repeatedly bring these issues to their attention.
Some of the problems included:
* Garbage left behind, including garbage placed on my brand-new $1,000 stove
* Flooring debris, laminate shavings, staples, and dust left throughout the house
* Sawing being done inside the home, creating significant amounts of dust
* A shop vacuum being used without asking
* Carpet and other debris left in the garage
* Our packed boxes being moved into the garage, with installers' food placed in our boxes and flooring trim placed on top of our belongings
* Food being placed in our refrigerator without asking
* Cabinets being opened to get toilet paper without asking or informing us
* Our dog having to remain in a kennel for two days because of the extended installation
* The dryer vent not being properly reconnected
* Missing and incomplete trim and finishing work
* Caulking still needed around toilets, showers, and the back-door sill
* Several boards were installed with chips and had to be replaced when the installers returned
* Our new refrigerator was damaged, and I felt the company took no responsibility for the damage
There was also a concerning situation involving an empty frozen-food box that we found in our recycling even though we had not eaten the food. I cannot say for certain what happened to the food, so I am not accusing anyone of taking it. However, the situation was concerning and added to our overall discomfort with how our home and belongings were handled.
The installation schedule was also very different from what I was told.
I was told the installers would be working approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Instead, the actual schedule was:
8/28: 9:45 AM-7:30 PM8/29: 11:20 AM-7:10 PM8/30: No work8/31: 11:05 AM-6:45 PM9/1: 9:25 AM-6:50 PM
We were also not given reliable notice each day about what time the installers would actually arrive.
Our house was essentially displaced from 8/28/25 through 9/2/25, creating a major inconvenience for my family. What should have been a relatively short installation turned into a prolonged disruption of our home and daily lives.
My concerns are not simply about the installation taking longer than expected. They are about the quality of the work, the way our home and belongings were treated, the lack of communication, the damage and unfinished work, and the amount of effort I had to put into getting the company to address these problems.
I paid 50Floor for a professional flooring installation. I expected the work to be completed properly, my home and belongings to be treated with respect, and the company to communicate with me when problems arose.
Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend 50Floor read more
