He got a quick overview of my accident and where I was in the insurance process, before assessing the damage. He thoroughly explained what repair would entail, the timeline to repair, and ran some quotes. My previous collision evaluator provided a similar repair quote, but Mike made everything much easier to grasp and comprehensively overviewed what each step would entail. Mike told me he operates the way he'd like to be treated, and that very much came through. He was extremely professional, approachable, and real, and talked to me like a human not a checkbook. He took the time to explain allll the nitty gritty and gave me all the data I needed to make an informed decision. I ultimately chose to let my car go (still sobbing!) but I felt empowered and comfortable to make that decision based on Mike's thorough assessment. After the last experience of a car repair we were so leery on where to take this. So I went on yelp and was hopeful that we could find a good repair shop. I saw Yire Automotive had reviews, not many, but that they 5 stars on every rating except for one. Hmmm..I'm thinking, that's just too good to be true. I looked at their site, I once again read the reviews, then I called them. The person who answered, Walter, was welcoming, listened to what I needed and said sure bring it in today. Well my husband had the truck, but I made an appointment for the next day. To put this all in a nutshell, the truck went in, Walter was just as friendly as he is in person as he was on the phone. There is no fancy office in place, but it's decent and Walter has all kinds of info on the wall about his certificates and what's in place. I asked him to call my husband because I don't understand crap when it comes to auto repairs. He was in constant contact with my husband, not only looked at what the issue was but recommended a few other things, sent pictures about this, that were important indeed, that should be repaired but he left this up to us. He didn't push, he didn't come on strong, he simply recommended. Suffice it to say, our truck was ready in two days. It is running beautifully. I have another repair that he will be handling, hopefully soon (well as soon as I call him) and I am sure that he and his people will take care of us again, just as well. It's extremely reassuring to have a place where you can take your vehicle and know that you will not get ripped off and where you will get good service. Now the reason I prefaced this review is to show how one place can be really bad for repairs and another isn't. Period. Anyways, give this place a shot, he's been in business a long time and there's a good reason why.

I took my 1999 Jeep into this shop to have the rear differential (Dana 35) worked on. The work…read moreorder also included redoing the rear brakes, specific axles, replacing the limited slip unit, seals and outer roller bearings. Two months later the limited slip unit, (commonly called a "lunchbox locker") detonated and rendered the vehicle completely unusable as it was stripped out and shattered. I immediately called them, they did send a tow truck out within half an hour or so to take it back to their shop to repair the repair. This meant replacing that locker with a stock unit, which I did agree to. Another month has gone by, a few days ago the rear differential started making a lot of noise, presumably from the left side brake drum. Grinding, squeaking and suchlike. I took it upon myself to remove the wheel and drum to look at the brake assembly. What I found what a totally mis-assembled brake system, and the axle was made in India, which is not the brand I had agreed to. This repair cost nearly $4000.00 and is quite unsatisfactory. They get one star.

Current day, 10k miles later & 3 years on the transmission, it went again. Even though the 2 year warranty expired, the low miles traveled we were able to work out a fair agreement were I pay for the cost of parts and they pay for all other cost such as labor, disposal or special fees. It took 2.5 weeks to get to the agreement. Then another 5.5 weeks of repairs only for them to tell us that the rebuilt transmission was doing the exact same thing that it was brought back in for 8 weeks ago. Another couple days and they determined what it was. And the saga continues; They sent that part out to be rebuilt. It was returned, delivered and stolen off their doorstep. They had to order & pay for another and get it installed. Here we are after 10 weeks without my truck. Truck in hand now and seems to be fine. How many stars would you have gave?
