We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. It is a beautiful location right next to the River District. There's a lovely park, splash pad, and playground right along the Dan River. We were so stoked to eat right there. The interior of the restaurant was so fun. We loved the decorations. Books everywhere! The server was ok at first. But when we were done, I did not like how she presented me the check. She just quickly flashed me an amount on a screen, and then hid the screen. I asked if I could pay cash and she accepted it but did not bring me a check even then. We ordered 3 burgers that sounded really good. Such a disappointment. The burger meat in each was shaped perfectly and was as hard as a hockey puck. They appeared to be cooked medium but the meat was tough and gristly. I have no idea how they got all the burgers the exact, uniform hockey puck shape. They must be like those frozen ones you can get at Costco. But $17.95 for a frozen hockey puck? At one point, while my kids were telling me how gross the patties were, while my husband and I told them they had to eat them to go play on the playground, I flagged the server down and asked what type of meat it was. She said beef. However, it did not taste like beef. Thank goodness for all the toppings because if they were plain burgers, they would have been inedible. We were so hungry though so we ate what we could. Notably, the buns also tasted cheap like they had just come out of a stale grocery store deli bag. The seasoned fries, sweet potato fries, the homemade ranch and ketchup, and salad with homemade vinaigrette were ok. After we left, I added up what we ordered again and realized she must have charged me an extra $12 to swap out a veggie patty for a beef patty. I was not told there would be an upcharge so felt a little swindled, especially with how she presented the check. I wish I had kept the veggie patty though, because it probably would have been better. Also my kid who had said the burgers were so gross puked right after we left and immediately felt much better and enjoyed 2 hours on the playground. My other kid was jealous of the other one puking. Like you can't make this kind of stuff up. This spot has so much potential. I would honestly hope to visit again just to chill outside but would not ever eat the burgers.

This time we went, my burger was dry, she had the Mel Robbins (tuna) and it was overcooked and dry. I'm am not a tuna fan, but even I know it should have some pink in the middle. She had a mojito, which she said was very good, as was the appetizer. But for a total almost $80 (without tip) for a couple of burgers, 1 drink, 1 appetizer and 1 dessert, it seemed pretty expensive. We could have went to a number of restaurants and had a lot better experience for a hundred dollar bill. We will probably give them another chance as anyone can have a bad night. But when I think it will be $100, there are better places to eat and spend that money:

We decided to get the chicken pesto and filet entrees and split them. For starters the risotto and broccolini is so good it melts in your mouth. The chicken pesto is cooked perfectly and very moist. It's stuffed with cheese and pesto which is flavored nicely. Now the steak. OMG!!! The steak was better than Ruth Chris!! It was cooked medium and came perfect!! The au jus sauce that came with it rocked my taste buds!! I dipped everything in it. The fried okra was absolutely the best I've ever had. The mashed potatoes were good also. Needless to say the $51 dollar steak meal was delicious and absolutely worth it!! We appreciate Ashley for serving us and offering recommendations for our next visit. She also made our Golden Rum Punch and Mistletoe Martini. The venue is established in an old building with a really cool set up inside. Absolutely the best place to eat in Danville!

Living in California now and being an Elite Yelper, I've explored a good amount of my authentic, mom n pop Mexican food. I asked my mom if she had tried this place and she said no. That was my cue to come on in and check it out! The restaurant and the store are both connected and I assume owned by the same people so after I placed my order for Quesabirria Tacos, I browsed the store to see what's good. In the store I found these fruits purée canned drinks (so good but hella sugar in them - which is fine too. Just don't say you weren't warned haha) and got like 4 different flavors (strawberry banana, guava nectar, and pineapple coconut). All delicious. Highly recommend. The service was good. The young ladies helped me pick out my drinks and were super sweet. Now, the quesabirria tacos...They're not the best but the meat was very tender and the price was very affordable so I don't feel like it was a waste. I would still go back and try other things. I feel there could have been more cheese and more flavor in the beef. My tortilla was also very soft/floppy. Like I said....I'd still come back and give them one more try!

But the last two time I went for lunch it was a major let down. The food is lacking seasoning and flavor it's just bland like they don't really care about how it taste . If you order off the menu stick to what you know even the meat is not as good anymore. On the other hand the chicharrones they make on the weekend are the best and my favorite highly recommend. And no this place does not offer chips and salsa it's not that kind of place

Absolutely loved the Papas Jimador's (real bacon crumbled over thin, crispy fries, covered with cheese dip and real cheese). Better than Bacon Papas!!! The broth wasn't flavorful, and I had one piece of corn, one piece of carrot, one potato, and one piece of zucchini. The potato was cooked thoroughly, but it was really grainy, had a horrible texture. Th zucchini was so overcooked, the only reason I knew it was zucchini was because I seen the skin floating in the soup, it was just a spoonful of mush at the bottom of my bowl. There wasn't much flavor to the soup at all, but plenty of meat. One of my favorite soups, but I wouldn't get it again at this restaurant. The dip had a wonderful flavor, but was the consistency of juice... couldn't pick it up with a chip. I poured some onto the chips but didn't do much good. When they brought out my rice, I poured what remained on top. My dates food was decent, but I forget what it was called. The drinks were good, but I didn't really feel the alcohol.

As we walked in I noticed several televisions on the walls showing sporting events and movies. They also had a band playing which I enjoy! We decided to sit at the bar and ordered local beers. They offer a full bar with beer, wine and liquor. We ordered the fried green tomatoes to start. It came out crispy just the way I like with bacon jam and pimento cheese on each side. I like how they put it on the side instead of on the actual tomatoes to prevent it from getting soggy. The taste was good and not greasy at all. Next I ordered the BLT with parmesan fries and a side of brussels sprouts. The sprouts were a little too buttery for me and could use some balsamic glaze but were cooked well. The fries were my favorite with the parmesan topping and dipped in ranch. The BLT was absolutely tasty on a sourdough bread. The staff were super nice and helpful.
