I went there for the first time today, with my car covered in bug splatter. They did such a great job, I don't know if I've had a previous automatic car wash that was this good. All the people working there seem to be working hard to do a great job. read more

I've been going to 5 Minute Car Wash in Modesto for over 20 years. I was nearby and decided to run my wife's car through for a quick wash. When it came out, the rear windshield wiper was hanging straight down and the weather stripping on the back gate was pulled loose. I asked for a manager. Duncan came out to take a look. We've owned this vehicle since new and keep it garaged and well-maintained. His response? "There's nothing I can do." He told me he'd fill out an incident report, but that it would go nowhere and that they weren't at fault. Then he said, "I just work here," as if that excused him from taking any responsibility. Duncan is not just an employee. He's the grandson of the man who founded 5 Minute Car Wash. His father helps run it too. This is a family business, and their response to damaging a loyal customer's car was to shrug it off and show zero accountability. I paid for the repairs out of pocket and I won't be coming back. If you value your vehicle and expect even basic customer service, take it somewhere else. They don't care about your car, and they certainly don't care about you. read more

The girl working on the weekends is very rude she doesn't smile or says thank you! She just snatched your money out of your hands .. The lady that working week days she's very friendly. I don't have time to wash it during the week days no more due to so much OT at work! read more

This was my second time being at 5 minute car wash. I paid for the VIP $35 wash which should include a vacuum, floor mats rinsed, car wash and tire shine + other small extras. The first time I went - I was in the process of loading up my kids when I noticed one of my floor mats wasn't rinsed and was dirty. I had to ask them to wash it and then we noticed that it hadn't been fully vacuumed where that mat was so the worker had to take it and re-vacuum that area. Maybe it was missed - I get it. But then, Today I went again... I got in my truck and noticed my backseat didn't look like it was vacuumed fully. I just transported my dog in a short car ride so there was hair that I did let them know about. But then I also noticed that they didn't throw out trash (I have kids that stuff things in the door). And my tires didn't look shined and it didn't smell like any hint of pina colada which I paid for. I took my truck down the road and vacuumed it myself while clearing out the trash. I called and talked with a manager who said that since I left the lot there wasn't anything they could do for me. I asked for a partial refund or something and was told no. I literally just left the lot less than 10 minutes prior. My opinion is that it was lazy work. It took me less than 5 minutes to vacuum and toss things out. Which I will just now do myself. Dont spend the $35 plus tip here. read more

Just had my car washed here, on Oakdale Road, and the car wash was terrible. The inside of my car is full of dust and doesn't look clean at all. The outside is a half a** job and the wheels look terrible. I spoke to the owner, Brandon, and he was extremely rude and condescending. Totally disrespectful person. I do not recommend this place at all. They are a rip off at $35 per wash. read more

Older gentleman, bald, was speaking extremely inappropriately while I was there with my 2 toddler daughters. I spoke to management about it so I hope something is done to adjust the behavior, because he was speaking about some very vulgar, sexual things, while my daughters were close by. He also stopped washing to finish his cigarette. Very unprofessional. Staff seemed very friendly and hardworking, but this man will keep me from returning. read more

Price went up from 9 bucks to 13 bucks after January 1st and also since the price went up they got rid of employees drying the cars. I went to wash my car twice and both times they only have one person drying the cars now! SMDH I will no longer take my cars there. read more

Went to 5 Minute Car wash on Carpenter... Thank you guys for actually spending a few minutes to hand wash, brush wash and wiping my car dry. I am so grateful for their service that I even gave them a tip. I don't mind going out of my way to get a decent car wash.... I refuse to use the mister car washes all over Modesto... For the same price, they don't do any of that, half the time they stand around talking and don't even guide your car onto the belt......I had such bad experience with the one on Hatch, that I rather wash my own car then give them any service read more

My car was extremely dusty and gross...came out of the Car Wash looking squeaky clean!! Always come here. The vacuums are strong so they get all that dirty out of my seats and floors. The car wash is always cool to go through and my windows are always clean. And the towel dry at the end is just a bonus for me. Never have a complaint and it's better than mister car wash. read more

They do a nice job but waiting 52 minutes to get your car cleaned is ridiculous. They should change the name to 45 Minute Car Wash, which would better align with the experience. read more

This is the only car wash that I will use! It is the only one that completely cleans the car, and leaves no watermarks. The people are always friendly, and I love how it is thoroughly wiped down at the end of the car wash. Every other car wash that I have been to leaves watermarks, and is overly expensive. This one isn't read more

Everything great this is one of the car wash places that I go through that is mild scrubbing on my 16 year old vehicle that the paint is taken care of by me and polished once a year and mostly hand washed but I'm getting tired of hand washing, and so I take the truck through here once every 2 weeks and it's a light duty wash with a hand dry everything is great, everyone is super super friendly I tell them to keep a distance with their high pressure washer keep away from the vehicle at a distance light pressure on the paint, it's a 16 year old vehicle and I want the paint to stay well, there's one individual that is condescending rolls his eyes shakes his head this person again and again keeps rolling his eyes everytime I go there at me condescending about what I'm asking for keep a distance with the pressure nozzle away from the paint everything is great here except one individual seems not to care about persons vehicle. Worst! Just left there with my HUBCAP broken off ! The worker said I was going the right way next thing you know I hear a screeching sound and he's rushing to tell me to turn my wheel . At the very end the worker came up completely RUDE with it in his hand telling me it came off as if it was my fault . Never come here!! He wouldn't even apologize, the worker is responsible for telling us where to turn our wheel so when he's telling me I'm good I'm thinking it's alright , GUESS NOT! Lol, am I the only one who likes this place? It's right next to my parents home and it's very fair price. They've got the vaccumes when you pull up. They offer air fresheners at the pay station, the guys at the entrance will take off magnets and such as you drive in and the guys at the end of carwash will hand dry car with towel and wipe the inside of doors as you exit. read more

Went today to the Carpenter Rd location for the 5th time. First time I went, I was impressed, second time, car still had bugs and I had to address the manager about reusing towels on my car. They are supposed to be switched out after each vehicle. The manager, Alejandro got an attitude with me about re running my vehicle through, but he did it. I let it go. Today, I go in and I tell the cashier that my car has a lot of bugs and she very abrasively tells me to tell the guys that "prep the car." Of course, they didn't prep the car, so my car had bugs. When I drove around to the cashier, she tells me to tell the manager. He was already walking over and hassled me again. Then the cashier, Diana says "well sir, I've seen you go through twice every time you come in." I told her she was "full of shit," and that I will be letting Brandon Finley know what just happened. She said "go ahead, he will hear you tell me I'm full of shit on the camera." Alejandro runs over and tells me to go through again. I was livid, but went through again, and car came out looking good. No bugs!! I decided to call the location on Oakdale Rd, and asked the cashier that answered who the manager was today. She told me Duncan Finley. I've known Chuck Finley (the founder), who is still alive at 95 and sharp as a tack since I was born! He is an upstanding man who truly cares for his customers. Well, after talking to his great grandson, Duncan, I was disappointed to say the least. He basically tried to say that the Carpenter Rd location "isn't designed to take all the bugs off, that I need to go to the Oakdale Rd location for that." That is total bullshit and lack of concern and poor customer service to lie to me like that, and to not even apologize for what I dealt with, but tells me that he has never had a complaint about Alejandro. He basically insinuated that I was lying to him. Not cool! Be aware!!! read more

Very friendly. They did a great job. I wish it were a full service carwash. I pay 21+ in Sacramento and in Elk Grove. You would think they would want to expand to higher paying customers. They could still do the 5 minute wash. read more

The wash was fine but the customer service was not. My mom and I went to go get a car wash and she had certain scratches on her car. One of the employees was rude about it. Like making certain comments and looks that was not okay, and used certain language that should not be said in a work place. Im only saying this because it's not rite. She felt very humiliated and very uncomfortable. You should never make someone feel that way. I just want to address this if you go to this car wash. read more

They have been great every time I've been there. I bought a car and it had a big sticker on the windshield, as well as writing with wax pencils. Best experience they spray and scrub before u get inside to wash and after they blow dry they hand dry

Best car wash in town!!! They sent my car through the car wash twice because it didn't come out clean the first time. That would NEVER happen in the Bay Area, which is why whenever I'm in Modesto, I come here to get an oil change and VIP wash. Great job guys, you have a long-distance customer as long as I can drive. read more

This is the best car wash I've experienced. Don't forget to tip bcuz that's how detailed they are that you want to tip them. Great staff.

Just got home from this place and I'm giving one star because some of the workers seem to be working hard and I know it's not an easy job but I paid for the VIP wash and there was nothing VIP about it. Got in my car and it's like they forgot to wipe down the seats, so I got a rag and wipe it down myself. Got home and the cargo area of my car was not even touched, it's not like the it was crevasse that was hard to see it was the foot step when you open it. Come on it's right in front of you and takes 5 seconds to wipe off. The kid who did my tires and rims did a very nice job though read more

Horrible place!!! This is the same as going to a drive thru car wash at a gas station. There were four people helping out to wash the car. That's four people that this company is paying to do nothing. After exiting the car wash, my car was still filthy. I pulled back around to the exit and didn't see anyone. I then grabbed a used towel and wiped down the car myself. Two employees then came out and watched me wash my car that I paid for them to. They never said one word to me, they just watched me clean it myself with a smile on their faces. I later called to explain my experience and the lady that answered said I could come back and speak to the manager but didn't offer to put him on the phone. I will never return to this place and do not recommend anyone to ever go here! read more

4/10/2019 If I could leave this place "0" stars I would! I took my car to this place at noon today and asked for a basic $20 car wash to get rid of bugs on a car that a a week and a half old. When I picked up my car and drove off, I noticed the front console had not been dusted off. --Not a big deal... I can do that then I noticed that they had SCRATCHED THE TOP OF THE CENTER CONSOLE. YES, SCRATCHED IT. They didn't bother to dust the the console but they did SCRATCH A WEEK AND A HALF OLD CAR. When I called them, and demanded my money back, they simply told me the don't offer refunds and that the best they could do was re-wash my car. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Did they think I would let them touch my car again???? The manager outright refused to do anything about it and told me flat out they would do nothing but wash the car. They did not care that I told them I would leave them a bad review and tell everyone what they had done and how they behaved. The manager Brandon just did not care! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Beware! They do not take responsibility for damage they do. I am going to see what other avenues I have to get my money back. They do not deserve to keep money for damaging my vehicle--more so for the cavalier attitude they take. read more

I will never be back. 8 dollars for the wash, 2 dollar tip for the towel dry, and when I was wiping my wheels down I realized my car was still dirty. Drove up to the window and asked the attendant to run it through again, she was very rude and asked for my receipt (really, like you can't remember that I just went through 2 minutes ago?), she had to go get the manager to come out and inspect the car.. He said "what's the problem?" The problem is I paid for a car wash, and my car is still dirty!!! He he said "oh I can wipe all that off with a rag". Unbelievable! Ended up just backing up and leaving angry with a car still dirty, and vowing to never return. read more
