The place is not very big but the Chinese food is very authentic and taste great! Try it!

I also tried their Homestyle Lo Main House Lo Mein I was expecting the usual spaghetti with roast pork and a sauce ...Wrong!!!! These were micro thin delicate long noodles and a mixture of Veggies with Shrimp Chicken Pork Egg and Beef in a light sauce which didn't over power all those elements it was as a pleasure to sample Next my guest tried the Egg Foo young. After a little 2 hand touch football game..Chinese food was in our minds. Order the Golden Fried Crabmeat/Cheese Rangoon, Buddha Delight, and Singapore Chow Mei Fun. Services for home delivery have dropped drastically. Twice placed an order and was told that they will deliver in 45 minutes. Being a student, I am always in search of cheap options for take-out, and 5 grains fits the bill. Being a vegetarian, I was surprised to see the options available for us vegetarians. There is a separate veggie menu from which you can order from. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. My favorite veggie options are: veggie dumplings and black pepper tofu. read more

The Orange Chicken and Cheese Wantons are the best I've ever had. Their fried rice is also amazing, very different from the mediocre fried rice you get from any other Chinese food place. The food is good but they can never get your delivery order right or on time! Once we used Seamless to place our order and it never even came. Very good Cantonese restaurant. A mixture of authentic and Asian/American dishes. I've been going there since 2009 with friends and family. Everyone likes the food and the dishes are very affordable. Sometimes, it takes time for food to be served, but I always chalk it up to the cook preparing everything properly. Five Grains Rice is a small, cozy chinese (cantonese) restaurant on Harrison Avenue with a nice environment and better food. They have a wide range of menu items for such a small place, and very pleasant service. Brown rice substitutions available. read more

The customer service is absolutely unacceptable. Not only do they discriminate, they over charge. I think people lost the sense of what a community is. You try to support businesses to help your community thrive and help them sustain and they do not appreciate it. I welcome the change of new businesses in this area because the new comers will be eager to please and work with customers. It's worth the drive to another location. read more

On May 29 at approx. 12 noon, my wife and I (from California) dropped in for lunch. We had made a recon of the other locations on Harrison ave. We asked for the hot tea, and then for the sweetener Stevia. The waitress young full figured with a round face, said she did not know what that was. We asked for Equal, she left and returned with a dispenser of refined sugar. The dispenser needed to be cleaned. She said that there was no sweeteners. We got wonton soup, the wontons looked two large thick pig ears, in clear water, I skipped the soup. When our food arrived my wife asked for a hot sauce and I asked for Chinese hot chile oil. She received a small bowl of an unknown red sauce, I got a small bowl, on the bottom was wet crushed red pepper. The food was just OK, but for someone who knows good Chinese food this is not the place. read more
