The staff was helpful when we were looking for suggestions and had questions and the whole place had this modern French bakery feel that I adored. The breakfast burrito was *very* strange - my husband got the turkey one and it was literally just eggs, potatoes, and turkey lunch meat chunks in a tortilla. Dry, no salsa or anything at all. He said it was quite odd. The baked potato soup was a disgusting snot queso, not soup at all. I actually took it back, I rarely ever do that. I hit the Coffee House on Cherry Street and was immediately greeted by a lineup of pies, cakes and muffins that made me salivate like I hadn't eaten in days. I behaved myself and ordered an iced Americano with an extra shot, a splash of cream, and a little sugar. It was smooth, not burnt or bitter. My friends grabbed a sandwich, chips, and a cookie for $15 and walked out full, happy, and bragging about how good everything was. The sandwiches, I'm told, were savory and judging by how silent they were while they devoured their turkey delights, I believed them. And now I have plans to return for my anniversary because I spotted a slice of German chocolate cake that could easily be shared with some to spare. I might even squeeze in the strawberry pie because balance. Tulsa, you're chaotic, charming, and delicious -- and I'm finally catching up.
