Great durability, but the sizing is tough to figure out. I stopped by to pick up some outdoor gear and pants for my boyfriend. The quality of the materials is undeniably rugged and durable--the stitching and fabric feel like they could last forever. However, the fit is incredibly frustrating. The sizing seems to run very large and baggy compared to standard men's clothing brands, making it tough to find a good fit without him being there to try everything on in person. It's a good spot if you already know your exact size in this brand, but shopping for someone else here is a guessing game. I'm retired Military and swore by 5.11 boots. I would ditch my issued Bates boots and buy my own Coyote Zip sides. I did three 12 month deployments to Iraq and then two to Afghanistan. They never let me down. Now 5.11 has gone cheap. I currently have a two month old pair and right now water is leaking into my sole from washing my truck. 5.11 just got big with Cabela's and Bass Pro and became a less than average boot. It's a shame. I loved the brand enough for 5 deployments. Now they are cheap crap. read more

Every time we come in the store is clean and well stocked. Staff is welcoming when you walk in. Most stores don't acknowledge you now a days. Jenny remembered us after our first visit. She's always helpful finding the items we need. Jenny is also patient and answers all the questions my son always has. We'll return to the store because of her. read more

Nice size store with most if not all of their catalogue of products. Store is easy to find items, lots of sizes and colors of everything. Great selection of hardware, bags, packs and misc items. Staff were all super nice, super helpful and seemed to enjoy working there. Location is easy to get to, find and there is plenty of parking up front. My only issue is not with the store, but some of their products are made a little cheaply (fabrics and build). I know they are making very large quantities and shipping nationally if not globally. Just keep an eye out on some of the clothing especially. I came to this store specifically to find a small hip/chest bag to carry items around while i was there for a convention. They had them in stock and they were reasonably priced. I also picked up a new belt that i have been wearing daily and love. Great store, if you've never heard of 5.11, check them out. I came here once a couple years ago to exchange some pants that I bought online , but they didn't carry the same ones and the ones they had were not on sale and quite a bit more than the ones I wanted and ordered , so I had to mail back to exchange for right size . Today I came in to buy some much needed tactical boots . The employee working was nice and came by to check and see if I needed any help . I did find the boots I was looking for . I've been wearing Bates Tactical Sport Boots Non Side Zip for over 10 years now . I usually buy 2 pair a year for work . For about 6 months they have been out of stock except for the Zip ones which I absolutely hate ! I even checked every Law Enforcement Uniform websites , Amazon , and eBay and none to be found . Went to 5.11 today and got the Fast TAC 8 Inch Non Zip Boot . Thank goodness I got the last one in my size ! My old Bates were tearing my socks since they were so worn out . I walk like 8 miles a day for work . I will order another pair if they work out or if 5.11 wants to Sponsor me . Ha ha . I also liked a pair of jeans they had , but I didn't have time today to try them on since I have so many things to do today . I will go back another day to check out the jeans . Some of their bags and pants are AWESOME. I have been wearing the tacpro lites for over 15yrs. I had to wear the defender flex pants for a retail job I had and the gussets would tear with in 2-4 weeks of normal wear and the employees just shrugged their shoulders in a "oh well nothing we can do about it" Customer service is the absolute worst. When a customer asks me "do you have this in stock?" I check. I don't roll my eyes. If the inventory says we are currently out. I check the inventory for ordering purposes. I tell the customer "my apologies, looks like we are currently sold out, but I should if in by this date, would you like me to put an order in?" Not go order it online. I have been there so many times and only ONCE was an employee able to explain anything. I'm in the industry and get to attend SHOT. Booth looks nice but this minimalist booth only shows off to a niche customer base and they staff it with people who have ZERO product knowledge or answers. We're told to come today and meet Taran Butler. Cool. Planned around that. No disrespect to either James Reeves (who we were not informed was going to be there yet scheduled.) but it turned into a podcast interview with Taran Butler on a microphone that sounded like he was talking through walls and the 5.11 and other media people rudely pushing us out of the way and blocking our view. It was difficult to understand due to the microphone not working properly, but it turned into a Q&A on what movies he liked that he was not affiliated with????? We were also told about an event at this location on Tuesday night with Brenden Herrera and other awesome individuals between 6-10. Free, just show up. We showed up just before 6 and got inline. Waited over 30 minutes to get to the front to be told "oh you have to register" and pointed a QR code and told us to step to the side and when we are done registering come right back to her don't get or go to the end of the line. You had people going up and down the line handing out cool stickers, but not confirming "did you guys get your QR code.? I scanned the QR code stepped to the side with a group of others in the same boat, got the confirmation and showed her and was told oh you have to wait for ANOTHER email with a QR code and to step out of line again. Did that waited and eventually got and email to down load ANOTHER app to get the QR code. Had to register on THAT app that required waiting for a code to my email. Got that squared away and while waiting to see employee who instructed us to come back to her to finish checking the next guest in, the security guard insisted we go back to the end of the line. We got her to scan the QR code to find out the initial one we scanned and got tickets for that she told us to scan is for an event TOMORROW night we were completely unaware of. I have had similar issues with Henderson location too. I have pushed 5.11 products for years over 15yrs and sold in shops I have worked at to just people and the range ask what I was wearing/carrying and I told them with pride. I'm done with 5.11. I'm looking for replacement pants and bags and will no longer support them. read more

Stopped by 5.11 Tactical yesterday found what I was looking for! The store was surprisingly bigger than I thought, and they had a lot of different items like boots, bags/backpacks, many different kinds of pants and shirts. I was looking for a cargo pant that would be long enough for me since I'm pretty tall (funny enough I'm 5'11"... get it). I was surprised at how many options they had in tall length! Almost every pant they had came in "long". I was able to try on a few different styles and find the right one for me! Sometimes "long" length is still too short for me, but each pair I tried on were long enough. They only had one fitting room open due to COVID, and they had other safety precautions and signing throughout the store. I would have liked to see a larger women section, as the men's section is twice as large. They didn't have many graphic tees to chose from, but I'm going to blame that on COVID and assume they haven't been able to restock with all that's been going on. They had a clearance section for both men and women and had a decent amount to chose from. I'm happy I was able to find what I was looking for and I'll definitely be back to see what else they get in stock once this epidemic settles down. read more

This is a super unique, cool store. I thought I was heading to a zombie apocalypse prevention or a survival gear store, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was a tactical store. They sell very neat clothing items for both men and women, which are good for those who carry guns, or want to conceal their weapon, yet have it easily accessible in a dire moment. Even if you don't carry a gun, I thought the clothes were really nice. They are made of lightweight fabric that's comfortable, and the price is reasonable. Besides clothing, there are lots of tactical goods, like mini flashlights, survival bags and duffels for your guns. The sales people were all enthusiastic, passionate, and very eager to help. I could FEEL how much they loved this stuff just from talking to them. It's still at a soft opening, and available to the public. Stopped by yesterday to find that their hours have changed due to short staffing. I pulled up at 5:55 and found a locked door and a sign stating that they now close at 6. The employee came to the door to tell me that they're closed and that they're short staffed. You'd think; given that every Law Enforcement, EMS, and Fire agency in the nation has SOMETHING from 5.11, especially in Vegas, that the company could pay a wage good enough to keep their store on normal hours. I only came in for a simple belt for work but noooOOOOOOooo... they wanted to so some crazy 70% off deal that would have been awful for me to pass up... what did I buy you ask? Best of all, I'd like to give recognition to an exceptional customer service request handled by Karlie over the phone. My wife picked up the last Mira 2-in-1 bag in white during an annual event where inventory was flying off the shelves. Having looked it up on line, I discovered that this style came also came in crimson, which is my wife's favorite color. I called up and asked if they had any in stock (they didn't) and if they received another shipment if we could exchange it. She confirmed the exchange and offered to find a store that had it in stock and would ship it to the Vegas store. Got a call back a few minutes after with news that she found one in Boston and had it shipped over. Wait is a couple of days, but I can't wait to swap it out for my wife. I saw these Wyld Cat pants at the SHOT Show last week that I absolutely fell in love with. Went by the store today and they had it! Didn't have my size available, but will get some in within the next month. Kinda disappointed that 5.11 only make ladies pants in Reg and Long length because I'm short, but hey, it's still great pants! The Problem with this store is not that they have AWESOME customer service. It's not that their entire staff is absolutely FRIENDLY. It's not that their inventory is AMAZING, it's that I can never choose just one thing so I end up buying what I NEED and then just come back to buy what I WANT. This shop is amazing as it brings you almost anything and everything you need for your tactical gear and supplies... Located centrally and near the strip.. (other side of the 15 freeway.. the strip, and you can see it if your passing through on the freeway).. it sits right next to the place where you can rent some of my cars (ferrari, lamborghinis, etc.. yeah that's all mine - JK!).. easy to find and get to.. and parking is always available.. coming in to 5.11 store.. i was greeted with a staff member asking if i was looking for anything particular.. and also explained to me about the sales that was going on.. Thank you for that! decided to browse around and looked at what they had to offer.. and of course check out the prices.. kinda shocked that the prices they displayed in the store was a bit higher than some websites i used to compare.. ( cough *amazon* cough).. shouldve asked if they do price match.. maybe next time or someone can answer me? with that said.. i didn't buy anything.. but if i was in the situation where money was not a factor.. and i was bit impatient... then i probably would've bought some stuff.. very nicely organized.. clean store though !! read more
