Fast TAC 8 Inch Non Zip Boot
Tracy L.

Decent size store . I came here once a couple years ago to exchange some pants that I bought online , but they didn't carry the same ones and the ones they had were not on sale and quite a bit more than the ones I wanted and ordered , so I had to mail back to exchange for right size . Today I came in to buy some much needed tactical boots . The employee working was nice and came by to check and see if I needed any help . I did find the boots I was looking for . I've been wearing Bates Tactical Sport Boots Non Side Zip for over 10 years now . I usually buy 2 pair a year for work . For about 6 months they have been out of stock except for the Zip ones which I absolutely hate ! I even checked every Law Enforcement Uniform websites , Amazon , and eBay and none to be found . Went to 5.11 today and got the Fast TAC 8 Inch Non Zip Boot . Thank goodness I got the last one in my size ! My old Bates were tearing my socks since they were so worn out . I walk like 8 miles a day for work . I will order another pair if they work out or if 5.11 wants to Sponsor me . Ha ha . I also liked a pair of jeans they had , but I didn't have time today to try them on since I have so many things to do today . I will go back another day to check out the jeans . Also , I couldn't find a price tag on the jeans and there was no sign showing a price either . I will look online to see how much they are .

This is a super unique, cool store. I thought I was heading to a zombie apocalypse prevention or a survival gear store, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was a tactical store. They sell very neat clothing items for both men and women, which are good for those who carry guns, or want to conceal their weapon, yet have it easily accessible in a dire moment. Even if you don't carry a gun, I thought the clothes were really nice. They are made of lightweight fabric that's comfortable, and the price is reasonable. Besides clothing, there are lots of tactical goods, like mini flashlights, survival bags and duffels for your guns. The sales people were all enthusiastic, passionate, and very eager to help. I could FEEL how much they loved this stuff just from talking to them. It's still at a soft opening, and available to the public. They have a store in California from what I hear, and this is the first in vegas. I'm definitely going to be back to pick up a few items.

While in Las Vegas, my wife and I needed waterproof jackets to go whitewater rafting in the Grand Canyon.

I'd been here in the past, before and after home games, but today's review comes after VGK won the Stanley Cup Championship! Woooooo! An interesting side note: news came out recently that VGK fans have broken an NHL record for the most Stanley Cup merchandise sold for any city and team. Hopefully they weren't all buying it from here! Why? Everything is marked up! It IS kinda nice to see the merch in person... if you see something you like, buy it. But wow, the differences in prices were striking. Before this visit, I had already done my Stanley Cup shopping online at Fanatics (nhl.com) but I went in to the Armory to check out stuff in person. A big plus is there are some things in the store that weren't available online. For example, the Champions Scarf was quickly sold out online but the Armory had a few in a neat pile. If I remember correctly, they were around $40 on Fanatics but the in-store they were $55. The most popular merch is definitely t-shirts. Almost every tee I saw at the Armory was $50 even. The same shirts online were $38 or $40 - that's around 20-24% off. A lanyard I bought for $12 was online for $7.99. I returned it! On my visit to return it, I noticed replica jerseys were around $220. I'm glad I got mine online for $184.99... and the price gouging goes on and on. On addition to better online prices at Fanatics, they frequently offer deals like free shipping, redeemable rewards cash, and my favorite, 30% off your total order which I used on my ($50 Armory) tee that online, came out to $26.59. Next time I browse the store, I'll have my money saving shopping mode on, or search for that hard to find exclusive item.

Kept calling and getting the run around, asked for updates from managers and never got any return phone calls. Straight up terrible don't ever expect high quality service or transparency when dealing with the armory.

I've been shopping at Botach since they were a mail order / online spot based in California…read more They've always been known to have some of the best prices around and as long as an item is in stock they ship quickly. Over the last year or so, their Las Vegas Showroom has really come together and although it looks like a Warehouse on the outside, the inside has your typical friendly gun store feel. The staff are always friendly and super helpful. My latest purchase was the GPT for G44 and they have them in stock and ready to go less than one day after SHOT Show ended. You can't really ask for a better selection than that.

They refuse to say the word "we'll refund you" for things aren't going to send, and are vaguely and confusingly mentioning "store credit". A ton of items out of stock/constantly oversold which makes the broad online selection essentially fake. Refusals to ship faster to accommodate the fact it's been a month, and *still* charging me extra on shipping. Support is non-existent, I've repeatedly called over 3 dozen times at this point, and no-one picks up the phone, and emails go unanswered. Botach, it's been a month--I've spent over $5k with you guys *NOT* including this order, and this is how you treat your loyal customers? You've lost a future $10k order our group was planning to place. Take your business elsewhere to EuroOptic or literally anywhere else is my advice if you plan to order online. In store, the experience is dramatically different and our $5k+ spend has been entirely there, which is why we didn't expect our online order to go so wrong--those guys need more recognition and more say in how things go.

I've done several reviews here, IMHO there are many decent places to shoot here, good indoor ranges…read moreall, but I think what sets American Shooters apart are the people at both the actual range side and the retail side. With respect to the range check in .... I think that the two individuals I see on my weekly trips are 100% rock stars .... Henny and Amanda rule the counter with great humor, conversation, and efficiency that makes check in, target selection, range lane assignment and if you are in the weapon rental mind... pretty darn efficient and just a darn pleasure. The guys (range safety officers) running the actual range are great... not only do they insure the range operates safely and strictly by the book, they are always willing to help with a minor weapon problem, offer some marksmanship advise or just check in with us regular members. Now the retail side is always checked out after a shooting section. I must apologize that I don't recall any of the guys names other than Brad. I'm pretty much a sig sauer shooter and the retail side is a sig elite dealer, so it is always stocked with the newest models and accessories. My shooting family and I have purchased quite a few "sigs" there and their sales and service is top notch. Bottom line, if I'm practicing my marksmanship at an indoor range, it only American Shooters!

Visiting Las Vegas for a summer vacation, I was having lunch at one of my usual favorite spots when…read moreI happened to pass by American Shooters. Of course, curiosity got the better of me. I mainly wanted to check out things I normally can't do back home in California - renting Staccatos, trying different pistols, and being able to shoot at a faster cadence without someone immediately yelling, "One shot per second!" I really liked the setup. The shooting range is on one side, while the other side is a full firearms shop with plenty of goodies to look at. The whole place was bright, clean, and surprisingly modern. I especially liked the waiting area in front of the range. In retrospect, it really didn't feel like the usual dark, old-school shooting range. The staff at the front desk and inside the store were very friendly, warm, helpful, and all smiles. I also liked that the place is openly pro-2A. They even gave me a couple of stickers for my collection, which was a nice little bonus. One thing that surprised me was that they charge a separate rental fee for each pistol. That is a little different from what I am used to, and it can add up quickly. Still, you're in Vegas, so why not? Plus, they allow rapid fire, unlike many ranges back in Kaliforniastan. I first warmed up with my own Glock 17 with a red dot, shooting at a cadence I normally don't get to enjoy back home. After that, I rented an H&K, an M&P, and two different flavors of Staccato. It was a fun little comparison session. All in, I spent around $170. That included the $24 lane fee, two standard pistol rentals, two Staccato rentals, 100 rounds of 115-grain CCI Blazer Brass, and a few targets. Not exactly cheap, but considering the number of pistols I tried, and simply being in Vegas, it was still worth doing. The only minor annoyance was with one of the staff working the firing line. I normally use the extra metal clips as weights at the bottom of the paper target so it doesn't flap around from bullet impact. Call me OCD. He told me, "That is not how it is used," with a little attitude behind it. Honestly, it felt like he was making up a rule on the fly rather than explaining an actual range policy. If the concern was safety, or that I might accidentally hit the clips, he could have simply said so. That would have been completely reasonable. Instead, "that is not how it is used" sounded more like a personal interpretation than an established rule. Technically, if I had placed cardboard behind the paper and clipped all four corners, it would have accomplished essentially the same thing. But hey, I'm the visitor, so I listened, removed the clips, and moved on. Overall, American Shooters was a clean, friendly, and enjoyable range with a great selection of rentals and a much more modern atmosphere than many ranges I have visited. The separate rental fees and that one slightly nitpicky interaction on the firing line keep it from being a full five stars, but I would definitely come back the next time I am in Vegas! Four stars.
