She was patient, took her time, and really helped me find a pair that fit my style and felt right. She also helped me pick out jeans to go with the boots, which made a big difference. It didn't feel rushed or like she was just trying to sell me something, she actually cared about making sure I walked out confident in what I bought. Overall, solid experience. She offered me other things like a sponge to clean my hat and leather to clean my boots. I wouldn't have known to get that until she showed me the value and why it's important. I paid about $300. Was looking for some boots in case I needed to ride the bull at Santa Fe Casino. Was thinking of some simple Chelsea style which are low cut and suitable for everyday wear as well. I made the mistake of not calling ahead and went to the American Workets bootbsrn on Sahara and they only stocked working gear (hense the name) but no luck. Took a fifteen minute ride up to the Summa ave. store in the heart of Summerlin .of course as always, all the stores and parking were jmed but I found a spot not too far from Dillards. I've always wanted to go to the Boot Barn, and I had finally had a chance to go on a Friday evening! My husband and I were out holiday shopping. After stopping inside Trader Joe's, we decided to make an extra stop to the Boot Barn. This location is next to Downtown Summerlin, off of the 215/Sahara exit. There is ample amount of parking available. As soon as you walk inside the store, you'll be presented with a wide range of apparel from hats, jeans, shirts, pants, and so much more! Towards the end of the store, all of the boots are arranged on the wall and aisles, from Boot sizes. The Boot Barn opened their first store in 1978 and has become one of the largest western and work wear retailer in the US. I typically like the Boot cut jeans, and the Boot Barn had a wide range of jeans, mostly bell bottom and boot cut. There were several jeans that had decor, such as tassels, included in the designs! You could easily spend hours looking at all of the different boots inside the Boot Barn! I thought a lot of their boots with the Rhinestones looked beautiful! Some of their other boot designs had fringes! The team at this Boot Barn location is fantastic! We had several team members come up to us and ask if we needed any help! Came in to just browse and Kristin greeted us immediately! We did come 1/2 an hour before closing so it was nice to have someone not shrug when you walk in close to closing time. I was interested in looking for some black boots - Lanes preferably, she helped me find my size and which style was more comfy as some are tighter on the toe and calf than others. She really took the time with me and I mean really she even suggested an insole so my boots would fit PERFECTLY! Now here's the kicker I suddenly changed my mind and wanted a different color that this store didn't have - she immediately went to work to help me get them. She called other stores but unfortunately they didn't have them either. She was able to order them for me (with free shipping) and they should be here in a week! Yay!!!! I placed an order online for one of my grandchildren to receive a new pair of boots for Christmas. When I placed the order, I see that I received a $20 gift certificate towards a future purchase. When they notified me to come and pick up the boots, I proceeded to use that $25 towards another pair of boots for a different grandchild. The gentleman at the counter and I'm sorry I cannot remember his name also assisted me in ordering two additional pairs of boots so that all four grandchildren have new boots for Christmas. After reading some of the comments in the 1-3 star range, I noticed something strange as I was entering... Judging looks or both even greeting you, poor customer service from those greeters and only chose to help people that was okay in their eyes. although one person eventually helped me and this younger guy helped with my hat selection, but the people in front who were greeting, well one guy was nice greeted me with a Smile but the larger bigger older guy who I assume is a manager was not friendly to other people...from what I noticed, he seemed a bit in the prejudiced side...I saw who he said hello too...definitely to people who were Caucasia and also gave a bunch of tickets to the PBR to my friends whom were white because their purchase was over an amount but I spent more than them and I didn't get any tickets to the PBR...of which I've been to before... Another time, One guy was hooked up not for being military but got a discount just because he was well...w...?? It was the larger / older unfriendly floor manager / greeter gave him a discount. Anthony was incredibly rude. He said that he was the manager but conducted himself like a child and was borderline verbally abusive. Yesterday, a very kind seasonal employee helped me purchase 4 pair of pants, a suit jacket, and button down shirt for my husband. My husband was unhappy with 2 of the pants and the button down. Wranglers were on sale, buy two get one free. He chose to return two of the three pair of wranglers. Apparently, the pair that we got for free yesterday was not supposed to be part of the sale, but they sold them to us as part of the sale anyway. That was one of the pairs that we needed to return. We picked out two pair of pants that were part of the sale. So, in a nutshell, we were simply exchanging two pair of jeans and returning the shirt. Anthony, did not want to exchange the pair of pants that were not supposed to be part of the sale. I tried to explain to him several times that returning the jeans that were not supposed to be part of the sale, still resulted in us buying three pair of jeans that were actually part of the sale. Anthony told me that he knew how to count and I was rude for continuing to try to explain. I'll do my best to not return to the store as this is not the first time I've heard negative things about customer service at the location. read more

I went to several places to find new laces for my hiking boots and was unable to find the correct length in boot strength laces. I went to Downtown Summerlin and went next door to the sporting goods store and no luck. then it hit me, Boot Barn is next door. I walked in and started walking to the back. I was asked by an employee if he could help me. Within a few seconds, I was at the rack with a large selection of laces for boots and athletic shoes. I picked the kind I wanted, went to the front, and checked out. It was a pleasant find and I'll know where to come from now on. WOW! After this store having been open in Downtown Summerlin for three years, I am embarrassed to say that I only walked in this week. This store is really fantastic! Heavy on women's clothing (compared to the location on the Strip), light on home goods, medium to heavy on boot inventory...this store really has a great lay out. Upon walking in today, they have all sorts of super cute, western in style, tops, skirts, pants and jackets. The ladies clothes were super cute, if maybe designed more for the young cowgirl at heart versus the ranch hand working the land (but they do have both!). The store is well organized, clean and the staff was clearly available to help if I needed it and super friendly. I walked out with a great Ariat jacket from the sale rack and a bolo tie as a gift for a friend. I absolutely will be back. I love Boot Barn! read more

I came in today with the plan of exchanging some items I purchased online. Upon entering a person I assume was a manager or supervisor was standing at the entrance facing the doors to greet people which is nice...however watching me struggle with two boxes and a hat to pull two sets of doors open, was not. After I fumble with my boxes and fumble with the second set of doors he says "hi welcome." I say "hi." I make my way to the cash wrap to drop my items and either return or get a hat sized. This guy in a very confrontational manner comes up and raises his voice and says "hi! Welcome!" I said "I already said hi to you. Thanks." While he talks over me and asks what he can help me with. I explain I have a few items I'd like to exchange and again very confrontational in his response explains they're out of Stetsons. Then points to another guy at the counter and says but "Kevin can help size it for you." Kevin is kind of not paying attention so I ask "are you going this now, or would you like for me to come back?" He says he can help me now. He is very helpful and kind and is just all around agreeable but not very helpful when it comes to finding an additional hat. After this I go about finding other items to purchase in my exchange. When I finally am done the same supervisor/manager from before comes up to a the cashier and asks if he's doing ok...since there were 2 other associates up there it's strange he only asks the one assisting me if he's ok. I've worked in retail/customer service for a number of years. I absolutely don't appreciate being a punching bag for anyone's bad day and will meet your attitude with indifference. I come here pretty often and this just made it apparent that I shouldn't. read more

When customer service falls to 'who looks like they have money', then I have to say- Corporate Boot Barn, you'd better get to fixing things. I'm not one who minds waiting, but when you're young, lighter hair dude walks right past me to help someone else, well, that peeves me off something fierce. Especially when I'm the one who had to have one of your associates call for said help. It was right then and there I got clued in to the possibility it was commission based sales. Funny thing is, I've gotten boots and buckles and you're employee made an error in not recognizing who your better customers might be. I just left all the items I had in my arms off at the closest rack and headed out. I'm hoping this is a one time thing, because I can just go elsewhere for my gear without batting an eye as to convenience. I do hate it when customer service goes sniffing them short term dollars. First off this is a smaller location so the selection is limited however there is still plenty to choose from. The staff is top notch with service and providing a friendly environment. We've had multiple hats shaped here by Brandon and he always makes sure you're satisfied and also goes the extra steps for making sure your hat leaves looking great. read more

Only second time in this location but the service was Exceptional. A gentleman helped us out when we first walked in and were looking at hats, he helped my Dad and I pick out straw hats. And then another gentleman named Bryce helped my daughter pick out some comfy riding boots. It took a while and he was so patient with my 5 year old daughter. Afterwards he even fixed her hat that she had on. He reshaped it and added hat stiffener and worked on it for a while. He spent at least 45 minutes with us and making sure we had everything we needed from the departments we were shopping in. I've never felt the most unwelcome ever. I'm Asian I get it, I'm not the typical person that comes into the store to shop but I'm still a customer. I went in looking for boots and some other stuff, mostly gifts for some friends but no one was willing to help me at all and everyone gave me the most judging looks. So I decided it was a lost cause and left. I'd rather give my business to another shop or even online stores where employees don't judge you by how you look. We are out of towners and my spouse is your typical urban streetwearer, who has recently aquired a taste for country music. We walked in and were greeted by multiple people from different directions of the store, and they were genuine. At first impression, the staff was extremely welcoming. We were approached by Astaysha and she asked what we were looking for. Remember, I just wanted to browse.i let her know I wanted to look for black cowboy boots. Asyaysha, suggested a pair that she owns and I liked them. I sized up due to fit and she held great conversation with us. Not like an employee trying to make a sale, but like someone trying to meet our needs but also really getting to know us. Sold! We asked her to hold then at the register and she did just that. Since we recently purchased tickets to see Jason Aldean, I decided to ask my spouse to try on a pair of cowboy boots. I persuaded my spouse to merely look in the men's section. Cracked jokes, laughed, 'never would be ever". Then along came James to check on us. His knowledge was very helpful, he suggested against my sizing up due to a wide foot and provided leather info, comfort info, brand knowledge... totally on point! Joke after joke, we finally got him to at least remove one of his Jordan's and slip a boot on then the other. Then the jokes continued, the "tease" of the cowboy walk and he got approached by Misty reassuring him of his boot choice and all of us laughed at his "cowboy" walk. We did not size up, so James' advise was helpful. Even a customer advised him to buy a pair and he wouldn't regret it! Ladies and gentleman he complimented the comfort and agreed to get them!!!! He didn't care for some natural scuffs on the shoes, Misty educated us about the cleaning and leather imperfections and after a little rubbing of the boot tip, the scuff was gone. Picked up a Whiskey tee shirt on the way to the register that Misty helped us with. Cracked more jokes then belt buckle jokes to complete the look and then comes the great idea of trying on cowboy hats for "fun". Asyaysha assisted us with hats, we determined his hat size. Unfortunately, they were sold out of his size so she assisted us to order online and get it shipped to our home. All in all, I'd say this was a successful experience. The staff was well trained in multiple areas of the store. They gave honest feedback and suggestions and they turned this football jersey-Jordan wearer into a future cowboy! Jokes aside, this was by far THE best Boot Barn experience I've ever experienced. Who knows we may one day return for that belt buckle, lol! Yeesh. Talk about worst customer service ever. By worst, I mean completely absent. I walked into the store on 2/8 at about 2:30PM with my boyfriend. We just moved to the area and were excited to go shopping for some new boots. Upon entering, we didn't even get an acknowledgement or hello. The two salespeople, a man with a beard and a lady with long hair, were busy doing something around the cash register. There were no other customers in the store. Even when I was looking at belt buckles on a display not 10 feet from them, we were completely ignored. We went back to the boot section because even bad customer service can't stop me from trying on some new boots. I found two pairs I fell in love with. One fit, and one wasn't my size. I wonder if Boot Barn could order them in a different size for me? I wouldn't know because no one asked me if I needed help. My boyfriend also found a few pairs of boots he was interested in, but again, no one to help us. We left. And the two salespeople were sitting on a display and chatting when they finally paused in their conversation. To make eye contact with us as we exited the store. Still, silence. I went in here with 30 minutes until closing and still received a great customer experience. The store is well organized, which makes the shopping experience easier. This newer store is smaller then the one on the strip but they make up for it in customer service. I would go to this store again and again because the people are so personable and fun. They will help you order anything you need thats not currently in the store. One of the employee even took a trip and picked up the boots I wanted elsewhere and had them in the store waiting for me.
