We were doing a return from online. The clerk was friendly, but there's a lot of standing around by the employees and we are always waiting in line when we are there. Why did I ever stop buying jeans here? The price and fit is right. If you need short sizes, this is one business who often carry them in-store so us shorties aren't forced to order, wait for delivery, and then decide a certain cut doesn't suit us. The woman who assisted me was super helpful, kind, and patient. I tried on like 7 different styles and ended up purchasing four with their buy one get one half off sale. i don't usually do reviews for retail stores but i felt as if this one was necessary since it seems like the employees do not have a voice at this store. i came into shop on a monday around 4:30 and the manager at the time was Echo. i'm not sure if she was training but she spoke to more than one employ in a very condescending passive aggressive tone. almost as if she was talking down on them. she also addressed some problems with employees in the middle of the floor for all customers to hear. it made for a very uncomfortable shipping experience and i just wanted to get out of there as fast as i can. i hope someone higher up sees this and at least listens to the employees and their concerns if they have any. read more

I've been here several times throughout the years and I've always had a positive experience. Today I came into get some baggy tee shirts and found some other great items. I was able to find 1 pair of denim jeans that fit right and a pair of cut off shorts that fit right even though it wasn't the wash I wanted-- but it was fine. I will say that some of the staff today was not all there with their customers service skills. I asked for a size down in the shorts, was told they didn't have the size. I leave the dressing room and thought I'd check the area where I got the shorts from and lo and behold-- there's my size. Not sure what happened but there was my size. The only thing is that it seems like their sizes were way off-- a 6 fit like an 8 and a 4 fit like a 2. I even compared them with each other and all the sizes that were marked 4 for example were all different widths in the waist. I'm not sure what's going on with AE manufacturing lately but they really got to pull it together. I'm giving AE 4 stars despite these discrepancies because I was still able to find items I needed that fit right. If you end up shopping here I highly recommend trying everything on before you buy. read more

I'm disabled and was looking for a pair of jeans that would fit over a medical device that helps me walk; it's worn on my calf. I had looked at a different company and had a disappointing experience so I was very pleased to have the help from the staff as soon as I walked in. I was greeted immediately by Camilla and she helped me find some jeans to try on and then set me up with Annette to try on my pants. The handicap room was being used so as soon as it opened up she helped me move to the other room and brought me my cane that I forgot to grab. She then checked in on me and my mom and brought us other sizes and options to try on. When checking out there was a glitch in the system when using a gift card and credit card for the same transaction, it would have frustrated me if I were the one working but the women helped each other out and were professional. Whenever I visit Downtown Summerlin, I usually stop by here looking for the best deals plus I usually find cool looking casual wear items. American Eagle brings me back to my High School days when Logos where big but with H&M, Uniqlo & Forever21 around. Millennials and Z generations are the game changers in the retail world. Lately, AEO have been adjusting their brand to reflect the fast fashion but they have been able to keep the all American outdoor/suburban appeal with smaller logos. The store is clean, organized and easy to navigate. Plus, the staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is never an issue and the store is easily accessible from a parking lot behind the store. I'm not a brand whore, and I have to admit, I cringe a little every time I walk into an American Eagle store. That unmistakable eagle or AE logo reminds me of pubescent high school teens vying to affirm their sense of self through name brand clothing. High school notions aside, I decided to visit American Eagle because I was on the hunt for a pair of cheap sunglasses. The glasses were going for around $15, but I didn't have any luck with a pair that fit my awkward face. My husband, however, found two plain shirts on clearance for a little over $7 (there was an additional 50% off clearance items going on at the time). With the military discount, the shirts came to $6 and some change! I have mixed feelings about the pesky eagle logo, but if he can get over it, maybe I can too. :P The store was clean and it was slow inside, traffic wise. First experience with American Eagle Outfitters. Staff not really friendly and no one even asked if we were finding everything ok, needed to try on or found everything ok upon check out. In fact there was one person waiting for the dressing room and us and the guy that opened the door didn't even address us, just kinda waved my son to the room. Hmmm really disappointed with how staff treats customers wanting to spend money in their store. If an employee is a representative of the company AE isn't a company I'll be happy doing biz with, though this might have just been a one off. I purchased online and had Pick up at store location and unfortunately, chosen this branch for store pick up. The guy that brought out my online purchase was nice, friendly and seems knowledgeable about his job. But the girl who assisted me in the counter clearly needs more training. So I fitted the pick up online purchase and one of the items I need to change to a different sizing. I asked the girl in the counter that I need to change the size of one of my items. She said yes and started to process it. Never did she told me that it wasn't available in store and she had to order it online and have it shipped. Nope. Never explained. So my understanding was that they have it in store and will hand me the new size. She was having a hard time processing the exhange of size so she needed to ask twice the help of the other girl who doesn't seem to be happy helping her. And then when she looked into my account, she asked me "Do you still live in New York?" Because my address on my account is in NY. So I said not anymore and then she proceeded to ask my address in Vegas. All this time I though she was just updating my account profile in my AE account. Again she never explained that my item was not in stock on their store and she was ordering it online and will have it ship on my address! So after all the processing, she finished and left me in the counter. I thought she was just getting my item, because again she never said that they don't have it in stock and never mentioned she will just order it online for me. So I was standing there waiting. My bf who was waiting in the car went down already because it was taking so long. Then another girl approached me and asked if I still need help about something, so I said "nope I was justing for the other girl to get my stuff". Then that was the only time she mentioned they don't have it there and they ordered it online and will ship to my address. She also told me "that is why she was asking your address". The other girl asked me if I still live in my NY address and I said not anymore, so I thought we were just updating my account bec I moved in Vegas already. And if it was explained at the very beginning that the product was not there and it needs to be ordered online, then I will just do it by myself since my bf is waiting at the car. read more

Bought some shorts and a lot of other things yesterday, the clothes are awesome! Only thing I have to say thought, I was waiting for one of the associates to finish fixing up the short table by the register which she did. I look at the table and all of the shorts are placed out of order, small sizes are last, shorts were mismatched. It took me forever to find anything that I wanted in my size because she carelessly "folded" and organized the short table. Reminder, I was the first person to look through the shorts after she "organized them". Since this whole covid-19 thing is happening, only a certain amount of people are allowed to be in the store at a time and this took me another 10 mins to find what I wanted in the shorts table just looking for SIZES. Trying to be courteous to the people waiting outside but this extended my stay in the store. But, I do have to say the one girl running the fitting rooms yesterday was AWESOME! This location lost a couple stars due to lack of customer service. So I was waiting in line , behind a gentleman that was already at the register and there was only one cashier at that time. So I'm waiting and waiting and another cashier/sales associate comes to help with the line. She calls me up but there was another customer waiting on the other side who was before me and looked like she didn't know where the line was either. Anyways I told her to go first thinking I would be next since clearly I was . Two other customers come and wait behind the girl while I'm still waiting behind the guy. So Abigail the cashier/sales associate did not mention there was two lines and saw the gentleman before me had a lot of items she ends up helping the other two girls. And when Abigail was done she finally helps me and when I was trying to ask her a question she cut me off not once but twice. So overall costumer service here sucks!!!
