My purchase experience left me feeling shamed. The description and video of my product which is greater than $2200.00 was essentially a bait and switch. I anticipated night sights and a newly engineered butt stock. I was supposed to receive the civilian version of their military contract rifle. First off the very next day after buying my rifle KVar dropped the price by $300. You cannot attach anything to the plastic picatinny rails on their "military" handguards because they are out of spec. The Arsenal barrel I received is slanted and not at all concentric. You're paying a premium price but they include only the lowest quality components. There is no Value in Arsenal rifles. Far too over priced for what you're getting. read more

Their integrity has dropped significantly! In 2016 I brought 2 Veprs and extra parts from them. Their customer service was awesome back then. FF to the 2020s and now they're some shyt! 1st sold me a FSB so I could convert my Saiga. Come to find out the threads were not concentric according to the gunsmith. Tried to get a refund or at least store credit. I was told they wouldn't do it because it was beyond the return period. 2nd they just tried to hit me with bait & switch tactics offered me 20% off for signing up for news letter. I called to redeem the 20% off deal was told that it had expired but based on the fact they hadn't taken it down they would honor the deal. Was told to call back in 30mins to place the order. When I called back to order, now I'm told that deal only applied to 1st time buyers. K-var IDK if you GAF, but y'all are making a very bad name for yourselves. read more

Bought a Makarov from them. The firearm on the website was not the same one that I received/purchased. It was scratched to hell on one side. They said it was in good condition, and it was not. I understand it's an old gun but when it's supposedly in good condition that's what I would expect to get. Don't buy anything from them. read more

I have nothing but negative to say so instead of writing a book on how bad K-Var's service is I will just suggest you order anywhere other than from K-Var. You will get great service right up to the point where you need to return the wrong product that was sent. Their response, Crickets. No refund as promised and if Nate is your salesman don't ever plan on hearing from them again. You can file a complaint with the State of Nevada. It is unfortunate that such a great rifle (Arsenal) is represented by such a terrible distributer. Well I suppose it was inevitable but I got K-var'd just like almost everyone else who has posted a review of this garbage company. Cliff, after posting "free shipping" for locals on the AKfiles, I placed an order of $120 with free shipping with no issues, a week later I am informed it is only free shipping over $250. Another bait and switch clown move by a joke of a company. So if you are looking for decent custom service I highly recommend you look elsewhere. What an ordeal! I ordered a firearm online and they provide a few FFLs and their directions clearly state that if your preferred FFL is not listed, you should just pick one, place the order and email them with the FFL you want it to go to. I did that. Emailed them within 2 minutes of placing the order saying NOT to send to the FFL chosen and to send to my preferred FFL. I had my FFL email them a copy of their license the following morning. I get notice after a few days of delivery...to the WRONG FFL. I call and explain to "Gian." (Is that the FABulous spelling of John?) He asks where I sent the email and then says, "oh." No one had bothered to even check the mail days later. He said he would fix it. He didn't as the FFL he sent it to wouldn't send it back. I called every day for days and finally asked him to send me one and deal with their mistake later. NO is what he said. He said they will not ship until the one they screwed up was returned. I played along a few more days and decided I would contest the charge to my card if he could not fix it. Called again and he advised they were shipping one out while waiting for the first one to be returned. Precisely what he said they absolutely would not do. Maybe someone realized you can't treat customers that way and told him to do the right thing. Either way, there is no excuse for the sloppiness and obstinate lack of customer service. I am done forever with them and I advise caution. read more

Ordered over a thousand dollars worth of IN STOCK ammunition. After 12 days of not shipping, I had them cancel the order since it was obviously NOT in stock. They did and SAID they would refund my credit card but it could take up to 10 days for MY bank to process the refund. My bank processes credit card refunds in 3 days or LESS. I called my bank after 3 days. They said KVar had NOT issued a refund. I will never order from them again. read more

Zero communication. Placed an order for a rifle, but their list of FFLs was a bit outdated so I had to change locations which I emailed them immediately about. Never received an email confirmation and my order wasn't showing any updates so I called them, and apparently they took care of that part at least. Had the new FFL dealer email them their license info so I could get it shipped, and sent them an email asking if everything they needed was received. Never got a response back, tracking number, or any sort of confirmation shipping took place. Two weeks later no response from them, and still showing as 'not shipped' on the order form through their website. Would look elsewhere when buying a firearm. read more

They shipped my pistol to the wrong address. On the invoice they sent me it's right. On the invoice shipped with the gun it's wrong and shipped to an ffl 4 cities over! Ridiculous! The guy could've rejected it since he was never contacted about the shipment. Thankfully the guy was nice and understanding. He even went to pick it up from ups 3 cities over from him. Ordered a cz75 sp-01 on layaway, called a week after fully paying to see if it has shipped. Apparently there was an error and they had none in stock..found this out after calling 5 times since they wanted me to wait for their manager. Spoke with the manager, had him order one from cz last week and said they would do overnight shipping to have it to me by this week. No notifications or calls so I call them for a status update and they say they can't get me the gun and they would offer a refund. Well congrats guys for losing a customer and wasting 3 weeks of my time when you could have wasted only 1. Also props on the communication since I had to initiate all forms of communication to find out anything about an order. I placed an order for a muzzle brake on 8/20, and despite living within seven miles of K-Var corp, I had to pay 11.96 to have a small 1lb package shipped. Since I did not receive the package as of 8/26 despite it shipping out on 8/20 I attempted to contact K-Var's phone support, and found after 8 calls throughout the day that their customer support line is completely un-monitored. I then attempted to contact K-Var by the contact us form on their website and did not receive a reply. I then attempted to email K-Var at their customer support address, and as of 8/31 I still haven't received a reply. The only way I found to actually reach anyone at K-Var is to contact them is by contacting their sales line. When I finally managed to get in contact with a sales rep at K-Var, their response was to wait until Friday to see if it arrives. read more

I placed an order with this company during the recent panic for an item that I needed to complete a build. They were busy at the time but the website had been updated stated item were being shipped in 5 to 7 business days. They were reaffirming that items were being shipped in the same time period on their facebook page. So I went ahead and ordered. 2 MONTHS later I called in to see where my order was , as i thought maybe it had got lost, and the customer service rep was very rude and refused to even look it up or give me a time frame it could ship and acted offended that I would dare check on an order months after it was placed. Their attitude was wait for it to show up or go f yourself. When I suggested maybe they could update their webpage to be way more accurate or maybe get a few temps to help out since they were doing so well, I was yelled at and hung up on. The owner himself sent me a nasty email that I was being rude and cancelled my order( REALLY ?!?!?!) there are so many decent companies out there. do yourself a favor and skip this one. read more
