She helped by gathering a few style options I had in mind and even offered suggestions of her own which, I appreciated Although they were all great, I decided to go with the Speed 4.0 black tactical boots due to their comfortability. This afternoon I visited the Carson 5.11 store and had one of the best retail experiences I've ever had, thanks to Tracy and Jessie. I walked in mid project as they were busy with moving some items around the store and was blown away by the amazing customer service. I usually loathe uniform shopping, and they have changed my perspective. They were well versed and the fit of their products and suggested the perfect fit and style I needed. Went in yesterday, 8/12, first time I'd ever been in a 5.11 store. Man...what a great store and even better staff. Rich, and the female African-American employee (whose name I forgot, sorry!) are superb at their jobs. Rich showed me around the store, including the Rush 12 backpack that he held up at the front for me after I called. He is very very knowledgeable and passionate about the brand and exemplifies great customer service. Never once was he pushy or tried to sell me products I didn't need. Store was well kept, organized and a total joy to be in. I will most certainly return to this store...some of the tactical jeans really peaked my interest. Next time! Great store for high quality outdoorsy apparel and shoes as well as work wear for first responders. My husband buys most of his pants and shorts here, which are both well-fitting and functional. He's a huge fan of their socks too, which he uses for every day and work use. I love 5.11's outerwear apparel for women. Their jackets are some of the best! Location is in a place so plenty of parking. Super friendly staff! I already what I wanted. Grabbed the Rush 37L backpack in navy color. I have the olive one and love it! Material is thick. Duty gear and tactical apparel store located across the street from Carson Mall with close freeway access from the 405. Glad they are here but wish they offered more women's duty and tactical boots! They had one pair on display and it didn't offer steel/composite toe. I made the journey here hoping to replace my current 5.11 tactical boots. Nice selection vests and body armor. I recently moved down south from Sacramento, CA. I love going into 5.11 and seeing what new stuff i can get my hands on, pants or shirts for work, or just some cool outdoor gear I want to treat myself with. Here at the Carson store I was taken care by Richard & Tracy. Greeted at the door, and constantly made sure if I was in need of any assistance. By the time I was about to check-out my new gear, I saw behind the counter a dark navy blue collard shirt I have been needing for a long time, I asked Richard if those shirts are available to purchase. He said "unfortunately not that shirt however I might have some in the back, let me go check." With luck Richard came out with the shirt in my size! I couldn't be any happier with my experience here at the Carson 5.11 store. I will 1000000% be back. Uhg, the store smells like plastic so bad it made me nauseous. The quality isn't very good and it's very expensive. and it's all hideous. As an officer we appreciate it when stores recognize our commitment to protecting people. My buddy told me that 5.11 gives us a nice discount so I came out. I had some supplies but when I got to the register I was then told that the Law Enforcement discount is only at the Irvine store. First I wanted to punch my buddy in the face for not specifying, then I was just going to put the stuff back and make the drive to Irvine. But! Tracy was so helpful and didn't try to over sale me and was so understanding in my confusion and then mentioned the fall sale. So I just bought everything. Then she asked if I collect challenge coins, being that I'm still severing in the military and work for law enforcement, I said of course. So she gave me one. Got my work shoes here! The store is clean, well organized, and had a variety of products to choose from without everything being overwhelming. Customer service was excellent! I was helped by Juan. This review is dedicated to a gentleman by the name of Raymond, the assistant store manager. I'll try to keep this review as short and sweet as possible. I went in to this store just because I was on a 5.11 Tactical high - (I had just gotten back from their San Diego and Riverside locations). I started chatting with Raymond right off the bat since he was the guy who greeted me. I asked him what product he'd recommend out of their pants line and he recommended their Apex pants (which I ended up buying - the best darn tactical pants I've ever worn). I asked Raymond close to 30 or 40 questions about tactical gear, survival gear/techniques, stories based on his own personal experience, and (of course) anything and everything 5.11 This guy has a WEALTH of knowledge. You can ask him darn near anything related to survival and he'll give you golden information. I truly cannot thank him enough for the amount of advice and insight that gentleman gave me. Straight to the point: 5 star customer service 4 star inventory Came in with my fiancé to look for clothes for his new job. The gentleman who worked there were super friendly and customer service was on point. They weren't too pushy with sales and helped my fiancé find what he was looking for. Our only gripe was the inventory was a little lacking. Not very much long sleeve shirts or long sleeve polos. They had tons of casual T-shirts but not a huge selection of work type clothes. A good selection of bags and shoes. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Also for any men needing a haircut there is a barbershop right next door. read more
