I've bought two suits for my son here. One for his first communion and most recently one for his junior ring ceremony. Of course he picked out the most expensive wool suit. He liked it & wanted it. I figured he could also wear it for graduation. Well today we picked up that same suit after some needed alterations. He will be wearing it to his senior exit interview next week. He will also wear it for graduation. He has chosen a different tie & shirt. This place is so awesome & they have several choices. My son just chose an expensive one. I feel it was a great investment as it's lasted 2 years ( so far ) they even helped my son tie his tie. You can't be stressing over that the morning of an important senior exit interview. Amazing Selection. Great prices! Every color and print I would ever need or want is available. Salesman Mike was friendly and helpful. Knew my sizes by just looking. Tailors are amazing! They asked if ALL sections of the suit were ok or needed altering, as where most other places just want to hem your pants and get you out. Suits were ready in a week. The tailor offered to have them ready sooner, but I couldn't pick them up sooner, so a week was perfect. Didn't have to deal with downtown LA traffic, crowds, parking, and "no restroom" situations. I don't usually comment on yelp unless it's warranted, but I've bought 3 suits now from 3DSB and they all hit. Many compliments. The gentleman working there are always super helpful and the tailor and his ladies do everything you ask. And yes, if it's on the rack you'll get it tailored to your taste in three days. So, I have this 3 Day Suit Broker gift card and I think it's for $100. But I'm not sure. So I call the number on the back and a person wants to sign me up for some promotion before discussing my question. I spent 5 minutes with this jerk, who wanted my name, phone and other information. I told him I'm not going to provide any of that information and I just want to know my gift card balance. Finally I hung up. Then I get on the website and there's no information there to check my balance. So I call the Montclair store which is still open at 6:15pm. They won't look up the balance either. Told me that they can't look up the balance using the card number, and I must go to a store to have the bar code scanned. I've bought 10 suits there, and I'm really pissed of about this. I won't buy another suit there. I'll go out to the Gardena store to spend the entire card on belts or shoes. After that, I'm never going back there again. read more

I have been here before and had a decent experience, but last time was the worst. I went to purchase shirts as mine were getting old. I have purchased many shirts before obviously I would know my size. I was harassed by one of the workers who followed me around after I said I did not need help. He even threw in a comment about how he doesn't know if those shirts would fit. I ensured him I am replacing shirts I have had already in my size. Then he follows me up to the counter to tell the cashier to tell me they may not fit as well. This is horrible customer service. If anybody walks into a store you never tell them what they are picking out will not fit. After they told me this I just refused to support this place. I don't buy suits often, but I needed one in a pinch (within 4 days) and I had never tried 3 day suit broker and saw some decent reviews, and it's close to where I was. Sales floor: I came in on a Tuesday afternoon, nobody greeted me or noticed me for 5 minutes and eventually I was told to wait in the back. I waited there for 15 more minutes for the one sales person working to get to me. There was no sense of respect or consideration to me as the customer, and I felt like I was being given a tour of a warehouse rather than fitted for a suit. I was only asked one question: what kind of suit are you looking for? "Classic fit, black", no options, just went to the first option and was pressured to like it. I didn't even know if there were other options, but I didn't ask because of the sense of time pressure and my lack of experience. The whole time I never saw a measuring tape, my sizes and lengths were guessed like I was at a carnival. I tried the suit on and I was asked if it was comfortable. It was, but it was big and I said as much and was told it could be tailored. Tailoring: every time I've gone to a tailor I've been measured, or they have at least touched the clothes. This experience, which was already a rush, involved the tailor looking at me and never measuring anything. He made two marks on the back and I was given a card and asked to fill my information. That was it, no questions, no information-- and importantly, no comment that the suit would be in-returnable after any in store alteration, which makes sense, but was never explicitly communicated. I also bought a shirt and tie, and I was simply handed the shirt and told to go pick out my own tie (again, no measurements, I had to ask the size to confirm as I was never told it). Pick-up: when I went to pick up from the tailor (once again, I waited at the front for a couple minutes before my presence was noticed before someone told me to go to the back) on Friday, he handed me the suit and I asked "hey should I try this on?" and he just ignored me at his sewing machine. At this point, the charade still had me convinced these guys were pros who could guess sizes with their naked eyes and tailor suits just by looking at them, and so I left with the suit like a fool shortly before closing. As the saying goes: a fool and his money are soon separated. I tried the suit on immediately upon arriving home, and the fit was the worst I have ever experienced, worse than off the rack. The shoulders buckled in and winged out, and even while standing straight ahead the back fabric crumpled. The crotch had so many crumples around it you'd think it was deliberately pleated-- and I sent pictures to friends and other aficionados who corroborated my opinion that: this was a hatchet job. I had no time or intention of going back to 3DSB the next day, and I went to Men's Warehouse in hopes I could find something off the rack same day. Not only did I find something, I experienced a night and day service was experience: greeted, measured, asked questions, given options, just... you know, customer service and respect. The suit was cheaper, and met my needs. I told 3DSB that I was losing weight and this might be a one time suit, they upsold me to wool, MWH told me to stick with polyester if it wasn't a long term suit. I felt and looked good in that suit. The Return: I came back the following Monday with original receipt in hand after some questionable advice that I could still maybe return because I hadn't made any alterations myself, and was greeted by: nobody. After the usual wait, the same salesperson who sold me the suit asked if I was picking up, I said "returning", and his brow furrowed. I told them what I've told you: everyone I asked said it looked bad, and ultimately I the customer didn't like what they had sold me when I actually had a chance to try it on. I was asked to try it on again in the store and was told that it looked just fine-- great even and that my lying eyes deceived me. The salesperson and the cashier chuckled at the ridiculousness of me expecting to return an altered (poorly, by them) suit: an expensive lesson I had just learned. I protested and asked if I could speak to a manager: "no, we just work for corporate". I asked if I could speak to corporate "no", nothing posted on their website either. Ultimately I was told that unless I bought the suit off the rack and left all the tags on it, there's nothing they can do, or would do to make it right. In their view, they merely loaded the gun, handed it to me, and watched me shoot myself in the foot. With that, I warn you fellow suit customer, please do yourself a favor and spend the extra $50 it takes to have a salesperson who cares, a tailor who measures you and cares if their work was a success, and a cashier who helps you understand the refund policy. I will NEVER come here again, and I will very, very actively spend the rest of my life telling everyone I encounter to steer clear of you. read more

On a different note, Jesus H. complained about the customer service. Here's what I experienced with my husband. He previously went there to see about getting a suit and having it tailored fairly quickly. My husband is headstrong about what he likes as far as colors, style, and the suit must be wool, not polyester. Wool is more suitable and sturdier, guys. Anything a salesman says to him, he usually takes it with a grain of salt if he doesn't like their suggestions. So as far as laughing, yeah, we saw some interesting colors, shoes my husband would never wear, and perhaps "older stock," but there are some really great finds if you dig hard enough. Don't let a salesman get on your nerves just because you don't like their taste. Grain of salt... The salesmen are great. They gave us good suggestions and didn't get on my husband's nerves. I didn't pay attention to what they were wearing because I frankly don't give a damn. Even if they did get "dressed in the dark this morning" who gives a flip? Continuing on... Of course my husband is attracted to Italian made items by nature. The Italian two-piece suit he chose with tailoring was just under $500. There were definitely other suits that were much less than this, but he loved this one. When my husband loves something, that means he'll actually wear it. So moral of this story is, yes, if you are on a budget and want a less quality suit then there are some decent looking suits for much less than that. But, if you want a higher quality suit that will last a lifetime and for it to be fairly good tailoring (seamstress left some loose strings, but it was a rush job...) then they are also here. The store is huge--I read on an ad something like 30,000 sq. ft. On the outside, it kind of seems like a rundown parking lot, but if you're really needing a suit ESPECIALLY in a short amount of time, this is a good place. Yucky carpet where the fitting area is, but there was a seamstress working her fanny off back there too. Overall we had a great experience here. I'm sure we'll be back some day. As soon as i walked in the door i was greeted by a gentlemen who asked if i was looking for anything specific. I let him know i had a job interview and my budget he then pointed me in the right direction. I was clueless as to what size i was, He took one look at me and said follow me. I just bought my fourth suit from a 3-day suit broker, and I'm pleased to say that in an environment where quality and good customer service is scarce, these guys are hitting it out of the park. I'm military and old school, so I do my best and expect the best! I went to Nordstroms Rack, Men's Warehouse, and they fell short. Within a minute of walking in I knew I was in the hands of an expert. I was greeted and measured immediately by Shawn. I told him what I was looking for and he walked me directly to the section that had my size. I've been in the store now maybe 5 mins and I was already trying on several different suits (10am when they opened) and found the one my fiancée and I liked the most, Shawn agreed. I wanted to entertain the idea of the next tier up and Shawn explained that the next suit up is no longer built for my body type (6'4" 190lbs) and would need more/excessive alterations. I'm paraphrasing here but he said "we want the suit to fit you perfectly with the least amount of alterations". At this point I was thrilled with who I was dealing with. My husband and son came in to buy a suit for a wedding, when all was said and done he explained he wanted both suits tailored SLIM and they said they would do that (Alterations are $70 a suit by the way). When my husband came in to pick up their suits, Jackets were not touched! The sleeves were very wide, the pants for my husband were cuffed SEVERAL inches and hemmed which looked horrible!! He asked for the sleeves to be tailored slimmer (my husband has actually bought two suits there and were tailored the way he wanted a few years ago, no issues) Now they wanted to charge him ANOTHER alteration fee to fix the sleeves $28!! You are better off buying and having it altered somewhere else for a lot lower price! It's a total scam now! $600 later and we have to have the suits altered somewhere else. My Son was married on 7/2/23. Three weeks prior my 2 Sons and I met there to buy suits for the wedding. I bought a Zena Italian made suit, so did my Son. These suits range in price however, the ones we chose were $800 sold for $500. Alterations were of course extra. The salesman was knowledgeable and helpful. There's a reason why the names of employees are on the review highlights of this establishment: it is because some of the employees here are absolutely amazing. I broke my suit cherry when I attended this store. I was on my way to getting an MBA, but all my suits were hand-me-downs and they didn't perfectly fit me. Thus, I came in with no knowledge on how to buy a suit. An amicable woman named Gloria attended to my needs and helped me pick out a good suit, a collared shirt, a belt, and a tie. She was very patient with me and was able to answer all my questions and give me good tips on formal wear. All in all, I believe my suit cost $288 including tailoring. When I finally went to another suit store, I found out that their customer service was not even half as good as Gloria. This is a great place to shop for some formal wear. read more
