We ate lunch at El Mexicano recently and while I enjoyed my huarache, I had serious food envy over my companion's carnitas. Dine-in or takeout, it's consistently delicious and filling! From an operational standpoint, they have a couple of quirks to be aware of. First of all, it's cash only. They have an ATM in case you're not prepared. Secondly, the waitress will not bring your check to the table. It is awaiting your arrival at the cashier. This makes tipping the proper amount somewhat problematic unless you keep a running tally or like returning to the table to leave a tip. On the other hand, if it's your treat, it makes it convenient to discretely settle the tab and tip afterwards.
