I called Pierce County Handyman for reinstalling 4 outside corner sections of baseboard and adjusting 2 transition pieces that had been installed improperly previously. They scheduled me for a visit about a week later so an estimate could be provided. Then a day before the scheduled visit, they asked to reschedule it due to a personal reason. I agreed to reschedule. They showed up on the second appointment and provided me with a service quote and a proposed service date. I got back to them 2 days later confirming the service and was informed the previously proposed date was no longer available. They then proposed a new date in the morning which I agreed to it. 1 day before their schedule service date, they call asking to reschedule from morning to afternoon, which I also agreed to. Then on the date of service, they texted me 2 hours before their scheduled start time to attempt to reschedule for a different date. I let them know that I had made plans for the work to be done that day and that if not possible, then to cancel the whole thing. They weren't able to come out and the service was canceled at my request. A total of 3 weeks and a half went by with multiple service days agreed to and subsequently rescheduled on Pierce County Handyman's request. In the end, no work was done...

Kevin showed up on the day and time he said he would (which is such a frustrating battle in and of itself with so many contractors these days), asked a ton of questions to really understand the intricacies of the project, and provided a fair and timely estimate for the work. You could tell from the first conversation that they're a professional group of people who take their work seriously and are passionate about showing up in the right way and letting the work speak for itself. It really boils down to consistent, clear and timely communication when you're paying for such a large project. You want to know that you're on the same page, provided with timely and consistent updates, consulted with, etc. This is where A.K. really shines. Dave and the entire deck crew were fantastic as well. They showed up every day when they said they would, were always extremely clear and concise with updates, suggestions and any questions they ran into where I needed to consult. Those consistent behaviors are just so critical in providing an excellent customer service experience, and it's rare to find BOTH high quality craftsmanship and work AND consistently great customer service. They just get it, and if you're reading these reviews right now, that's precisely what you want to read because you know how frustrating that can be when you're trying to find a contractor who will even simply respond to your inquiry and questions. I'm proud to recommend and refer them. I couldn't be happier with the final result.

When we got the quote we explained that because the retaining wall had slid our neighbor's gate could no longer latch shut. When they finished the job they ended up rebuilding my neighbors gate and not charging us any extra than what they had quoted us for originally. Everything looks amazing l, and I have a very happy neighbor who can finally close his gate.

I liked the Corbin Wood Studios website and decided to invite the Corbin brothers out for a lumber mill weekend. As hosts, we tied up the camper space and the wife went grocery shopping to feed our work crew of 5 : myself, 2 friends and the Corbin brothers. We had as much fun as a person can have and still call it work! All the guys got along famously, felt like we had known one another for years. Hard working young men, well grounded, polite, smart, with a great sense of humor! The brothers were exact with each cut, maintaining communication to make certain we were receiving the lumber we needed for our projects. They take a lot of pride in their work. It was a terrific weekend and we got a lot of lumber to work with. Great value and an experience we enjoyed immensely! Bob and Sherri Schiemer
